He was a mad man! I studied up on the guy, all of his stuff is amazing, almost a joke on the state of music standards (at his time)
Doesn't "Gymnopedia" mean "music feeler" or something in french?
I love this on a steel string guitar too, I play it all the time.
Great rendition. Never heard it like this, and You Sir, are the shit.
The rhythm section on this track is as closely intertwined with the melody line as I've ever heard....a superb tune that incorporates an almost pristine clarity..I'll be downloading this..speaking of which ..I vote that your track allocation be increased..I know this has been done before on the site...especially considering your loop download statistics.....anyway MrPC this is a fantastic track...by the way I was on the road in 1975 in a Citroen camion...could have passed you!!!cheers planet :)
This track is amazing, and you have captured some emotion in this, at least I can feel something...almost like I was there, traveling soaking in the scenery...if you had video of your trip this would make the coolest music track. I definitely dig it man - good work!
Wow...this is nice! Really chill...sounds a bit mournful, up until the funny percs come in...pipes sound wicked...this track is bloody perfect...definitely one for a summer's evening...
This music sounds kinda lounge music for me. Really nice. I loved Amelia voice. It's so warm and melodic. I'm getting addicted to looperman... there are always good music around.
thank you,try to concentrate on more different genres and i,m sure you could do the same......found a track of yours that could also be jazz...see review, cheers,PC
unfortunately for me I am south of the Tropic of Capricorn so it is winter but this track has certainly given me a visual of the warmer months......very upbeat.....liked the flute and keyboards but the drums are awesome.....well done

The winds of creativity are blowing strong in this production......The craftsmanship of this piece and all your music is simply sublime!...Whatever the magnitude or from any perspective this music stands up to the closest scrutiny...Aesthetically this stands on very high ground yet there's absolutely no pretentiousness about it..in fact quite the opposite..it invites you in and swirls delightfully around the senses....Amelia June is a wonder!..her husky emotive style just floats and flows like smoke around your notes.....plus..I don't think there's a bass player alive or dead that wouldn't just sit down and smile after listening to this piece.......Brilliant!.......planet
not so unreal David, she also lives on our planet and i´m glad that i´v found a voice like this to work with.......wish i were 20 or more years younger, know what i mean ? thank you,Robert
thank you for reviewing, yes the bass, drums and vocals were the basics for this track and the rest were sound fill ins........sorry maybe you´v got also another confusing e-mail message that was meant as reply for a Bilbozo review but maybe not, cheers PC
Every element seems to have it's own exclusive frequency range..I can hear it all so well!...aside from a lovely meandering melody line..this is a text book example of mixing and mastering...it's pretty obvious that the upload limit has shortened this piece, otherwise I could imagine it would be quite lengthy and totally captivating....par excellance'!...cheers planet
thanks planet, you´re right about the range of frequencies that´s why i used the whole orchestral spectrum from piccolo flute to basses and tympani to castanets.....you´v a very fine ear, always
btw, when i saw you calling me MrPC i was thinking of the same track title on the album of John Coltrane´s Giant Steps and it was the nickname of Paul Chambers his bass player (an incredible musician).......did you know this ?.......anyway one of the best compliments someone can give to a bass player (from a bass player)........a great honor, cheers robert

I love this
I love how people can just take vocals and then create an amazing song out of just someones voice
I personally believe thats how you can create the best music because there isnt anything else that you can base your track upon, excluding the vocals
Well done
