Hey Cruce, be sure to check out my newest track coming out soon, it's called Master of fucking Puppets!
I get the impression you think I'm trying to pass this off as an original track, but, meaning can be lost via this medium so excuse my outbust if this isn't the case. If it is, do you not think I would have at least changed the name? or perhaps uploaded it to a place where no classically trained musicians dwell? Seriously dude?
Interesting style of industrial here, which gives me some feeling of late nineties hard rock. I like the drums you've put together on this one! I'll keep my patronizing comments to myself this time, as I realize that I've "beaten a dead horse" more than once when commenting on your tracks. I apologize for that. I will say, for humor alone, that it is no wonder that your headphones are dying! The tempo and the flow of this are quite cool, and I'd like to hear you deepen into this sort of style. Fun to hear!
Thank you Spiv, I hope you can excuse my late response, I have very little free time for the foreseeable future. Heh heh it's all worth it. I'm hoping to focus more on drum orientated music whilst keeping the power intact. This still isn't finished, I have a great idea of how it will be completed, but headphones (and time!) are a must. Thanks again for listening my friend :)
wicked intro hits...nailed my old Sony headphones right to my ears...I use these cans to check high (they do a nice job on that...but shitty on lows)...you`re right...its a wicked heavy industrial mix...best headphones (for accuracy) I have are ATH M50s....cheers....Ed
Someone is into Pantera ;) I may have to add some bass to this and you could call it Jekyll and Hyde. To delete comments you have to delete the track, only way unfortunately. Liars, one side effect of this featured tracks get bumped up for a comment...
I play along to almost nothing else with the electric.. I like this track, this is the second rendition of it, a quick one mind but the third take should be it.. I just can't get that big sound I want... Yet :)
Listening to stuff like this, if doesn't give you whiplash first, will give you a neck the size of George Corpse grinder :p http://www.metalinjection.net/latest-news/cannibal-corpses-corpsegrinder-talks-about-his-massive-neck (in case you don't know who he is) I loved him with Monstrosity! Not so into the newer Cannibal Corpse stuff these days, the older stuff is fkn classic though! \m/ Now where's my neck brace, I know it put it over here somewhere....
My neck has gotten increasingly large since making this kinda music XD I hope you're well Phatz, I must disappear once more.. I'm sure I'll be back with some more heavy tunes soon enough.
I apologize if I came off as patronizing, as that was not my intention. It was only to alert you to a problem that would become especially apparent if you were to burn this onto a compact disc and play on a normal hi fi system. I suppose after commenting on nearly 6000 songs over the years, my ears are getting pretty tuned to picking up things in these streamed mp3 versions. It becomes difficult not to mention something. I have always been pretty brutally honest both online and off. Granted, it gets me in trouble, even with people who I appreciate, but it is part of who I am. I wish more people were honest, like you were in your reply. So many people on looperman and other music sites are only out for gaining compliments on their music, and I understand that as well. It still does not change how I react to things I hear. Don't worry about it, as I don't hear things the same way as everyone else. I'm also not a metal head any more, so there's that. If you think you may be going deaf, and the songs you have been making are as loud as this, then it may be a correlation to look into. Please don't take any offense at what I've written, because I do respect you as an artist. Respect and honesty go hand in hand for me.
No worries my friend, I understand, you are correct in your analysis, I should have probably elaborated as to why my latest offerings are not as polished as I'd like, simply: lack of time, headphones and overabundance of resources.
I guess I was trying to hack my ego, i.e put a tune out, get a response, release that particular endorphin in the hope of being more inclined to make more music. A bad idea in retrospect. Lessons learned. I'll be back with some more pleasing works in the coming weeks. Again, thank you for your ears :)
Very interesting song here. It was however shockingly loud when it began, and forced me to turn the speaker system down almost completely. I realize that you did not have any good way to monitor, so I can forgive that aspect. It should be simple enough to check for clipping without even listening though. Metal should be able to be turned up loud, but this forces me to turn it down.
Perhaps I'm going deaf.. I say that only half in jest.. I agree it's loud but nowhere near to the extend you describe, at least not on my end..
I've always relied upon my ears to discern a mix so I'm at a huge disadvantage right now, all of my tracks clip.. I do this deliberately, although I cannot control it in the usual way thanks to my lack of decent headphones.
I've noticed you've become very patronising over the years Spiv, check yourself my friend.
I would have hoped the quality of my previous works would have allowed you more understanding.. Nevertheless, thank you for listening.
How do I delete this liars comment? You didn't listen to this.. The sounds I've used? Guitar and drums... There's so much to love there.. Get out of here and don't "listen" to my music again..
I said I'd get round to reviewing some more of your tracks but I'd kind of forgotten about you a bit cos of you not being on Looperman for a while.
Anyway, this is, of course, totally badass.
You hear that intro and you just know the guitar is going to get a hell of a lot fatter and the bass kick in hard.
0:13 nice filter sweep sort of fade in and then we're into this main, stomping badass riffage. Drums are a bit different and don't sound like a regular drummer so give it a slightly different vibe.
0:35 drum change to the bell is good.
I guess this could all go on for a while longer if there were a vocalist.
Big congrats!
I have a new heavy track though it's not really your kind of heavy. However, there's no guitar (or any bass instruments) with all that being covered by some dirty cello riffage. Stuck through my regular heavy guitar setting, it sounds so so much like guitar. I've only been playing the instrument 2 months. Lots of other things happening in the track so give it a go:
Oh praise the lord, I've been blessed by yet another rap god, with the firest mix tape this side of the planet I'm sure.. I ain't no small timer to be taken advantage of.. No offence mate but how am I supposed to know the calibre of person/artist you are? Why should I work with you? What can you do for me? I can find a shit tonne of acapellas here and have access to many mcees in my area and a full recording set up.. Now unless you have a huge following of insane, hardcore, freaky ass people I'm going to have to politely decline.. Good day sir!... I said good day sir!
im pretty sure that is considered HardCore or HappyHardCore but cheers regardless. Maybe watch the headroom when u limit it next time but in this genre a few clips is nothing big. OVerall a dope Hardcore track....now im gonna take a xanax and try to calm down
Makes me think of this insanity ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MqPkWZxmMQ I listened to Rats in the walls last night, reminded me of my track Lost in the City of Souls. I'd love to make one for the Judges house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nknKi-wADq4 After watching your video I want to try playing my bass with a mallet, gently of course. Would that be considered slap bass? :p Interesting way to bow your guitar, I tried my cookie tin one that way, my 6 strings seem a bit large for that method.
Oh I may have to hack that movie apart for the next music video, thank you :)
I'm looking forward to the Rats in the wall track.. I've got some great ideas for samples. I'm yet to read The Judges House, added to the list.. I'll be looking out for that track.
Try it dude! I'd call it hammer bass XD
The sounds I got off of bowing are incredible.. Much room for evolving the sounds... It was difficult with the size, but doable.
Not bad :)
Maybe not really what i would call industrial but who cares :)
I miss some synth sounds on this mostly percusive track.
But it has a nice extreme dynamic and is very powerfull.
It is not that kind of music where i could listen to the hole day but for some special moments it fits really well.
First of all i don't think that the size of a track says anything about the quality of the track. Some of the most brilliant tracks have been made with very low resources and dont take a lot of size. BUT.... This track is sooo hardcore and I LOVE it! The punchy drums with the industrial percussions make it awesome. Its like a ride in a very scary rollercoaster. The vocals in between give a great sick and twisted atmosphere to it. I grew up in the hardcore house scene in holland and this would be a big partybanger back then and still now. I enjoyed every second of the track and am glad you posted it here!
"I love the fact that you do rolling comments like me.. "
I'm not totally sure what you mean by that. Maybe that I comment on different aspects of the track in chronological order? Sure, if I like something, I got through it and point out what I can actually hear and make suggestions or criticisms or ask questions or whatever.
Most people on the site are content with variations of "Nice track, bro" for their whole track comment, as if that's in any way interesting or helpful. So damn lazy and uninteresting.
"No pedal, just a whammy bar"
Yeah, I should have guessed that. I think I was thinking of the related pedal that gives you some good screams that I think Tom Morello might use. Probably a whammy pedal. I've never used a whammy bar but would like to. Would really suit what I'd like to do in terms of heavy playing if I got decent at it. I love bends and vibrato so pitch bend by other means would really suit me.
And now I know how you got those mega detuned bits in the weird intro. That's great and almost sounds like you're detuning with the tuning heads.
"Before you do, I think I have the files on an old hard drive, let me clean it up a bit"
Not sure what you mean. I wasn't suggesting I add anything to the track or do anything at all with it apart from listen to it. I did send a message and link to a few Facebook friends telling them they're gonna love it. Just a single one sentence response so far. I'll tell some more Looperman people about it soon.
"you're giving me the urge to dust off my guitar."
You really should. You're a much better heavier player than I am.
I will eventually get round to commenting on many more of your tracks as they're really very good. Again: you're my best new discovery on Looperman in ages.
Hardcore shit man! Dig it! This is the perfect length for an mp3 and yet LM makes it come up short. Hardstyle at it's finest. Sounds like a tracker!!! Love it much. So not what I expected to hear today, but in fact nothing is as I expected today. What's going on?! Crazy. Faved for sure!
Another massive pounding wall of noise.Your music makes me want to hit the streets, take up hardcore drugs, sleep in a brothel and get a mcdonalds.Evil pure evil!but i like it??

I did try some synths but it took away from the feeling, although the "hard house" sound does come from a synth (heavily processed of course)
I hear that a lot and agree.. Thanks a lot for listening man :)
