A very enjoyable listen here my friend! Nice leads and rhythms parts. I like the punchy drums too! I'm sorry to hear about your tough times, hope things are looking up for you. Really nice song! Faved for sure! Thanks for the DL!
This is cool! Some killer riffs you've played! It definitely has a lot of potential! I would offer up vocals, but I was growling and stuff so much on my latest collab, that I pretty much lost my voice for days. I dig what you're doing here!
Very cool track! It's got a pretty original sound really, so that's a good thing! I like your guitar playing, and it's inspiring because I'm just getting back into guitar too. Mind if I play this on loopradio.net? Faved for sure! Thanks for the DL!
Thanks for the info. Yes, I should have guessed there was some tremolo arm action going on there. Seems obvious now I think about it when remembering that scream. You can get something kind of related using pitch bend on a foot pedal -something I have done at various times over the years.
I do it quite a bit in a track on Looperman called Trial By Ordeal. Another, much heavier track of mine worth checking is one called Debt Black Hole. Possibly the heaviest track I've heard containing so much slide guitar. Those two tracks were originally one 15 min track but I split them in two and they now sound much better and more distinctive.
I also do a lot of bass playing on guitar and really like it. I do it much more than bass guitar playing (it's in loads of my tracks on here) though I do that too (bass was the instrument I started on). I'm really not sure how common it is for people to use guitar detuned down an octave for bass but I'd like to know. I use an ElectroHarmonix POG2 octave pedal that allows you to blend five signals together. So you can go 2 octaves above or below and create some interesting, ethereal sounds, especially when using the attack and cutoff controls as well as adding some delay.
I agree your track could use some extra power in the bass, though you could just beef up the bass synth. I like to do that and can definitely get way bigger bass sounds from synths than bass guitar.
Good luck with this as it's definitely worth improving.
Hello. Some pretty big riffage here. It is all a bit noisy, though - mostly on the guitar.
As regards Crucethus wanting to hear a bassline - there already is one. Maybe he just means a bigger one that more closely follows the guitar But I think the bass that's there is OK and does a decent supporting role.
This is short but there are lots of changes so it feels like a good length.
I like the first drum fill and then the shuffle drum groove. That's pretty funky stuff. Massive guitar scream at 0:18 is cool. I'd like to get some of that into my own music though I'm not quite sure how to do it. Maybe you can tell me.
I quite like the end drums, especially the syncopated, awkward stuff. The cutoff ending I guess means this is not finished yet so I look forward to hearing an improved version.
Maybe it's not such a mixing problem here but instead the guitar sound and the noise on it. Tell me what your setup is for this and I might have some suggestions. Are you using a real amp/preamp or is it software ones?
Thanks, For the bass I tried to use a synth, to not much avail when I'm back on this track i'll be using my guitar for bass.. It does need extra power.. I can't quite remember but I think I pulled the A string tapping the 3rd fret n yanking on the floyd, as for the part after that it's an open D slightly tapped on the 3rd aswell.. i think anyway.. I use a slightly old digi-design USB pedal to record and all of the sounds come from it, bare a little mixing.. I'm mastering it's use these days, You'll hear that on my next track, Thanks again listening
Evocative & agressive , right as it should be . as a guitarist I enjoyed the way your guitar sounds , & yes , Bass make this find a more strneghT musical texture .respects.___Behnam
Hi Metabolic,
Good song. I don't think it is too repetitive, but it should get much better with some vocals on it. Due to the "intimate" nature of the track, with very delicate sounds, I think some deep spoken words would work well.
Definitely a good starting point.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: ...maybe the sound for the guitar solo can be more "bluesy", not sure though (if you use an amp-sim, try to move the mic-position a bit more to the border of the cone).
strong emotions (good or bad) and talent always seem to me to produce some of the best music...its different (but not weird I think)...but it carries the theme you describe well....the section that kicks in around 2:44 is really crying...well done Metabolic.....Ed
the wobbles are really good but you just need your percussion much louder....i would suggest a punchier kick, a loud reverb snare and a hi hat in between but very spaced and in a pattern(not random)
very nice :D kinda cinematic i could imagine this being a main menu theme song for call of duty zombies lol...... i really like this tune epic woobles with some nice panning. only thing that is not there is hard hitting drums they are nice drums you have but i like to hear hard kicks and loud snares with dubstep but apart from that this is one of the most epic dubstep tunes iv heard !!!!!!!!! only if it had a harder kick then it would really be pumping i would rate this 9/10 !!!!!!!!!

Drill N Bass is pretty much Drum N Bass with industrial sounds (the 'drill' part in the name).
Is drill and bass a new genre? I did a tune years ago based around this idea (Check This Drill on my page if you're curious).

This so pure and clear...reminds me a bit of C.O.C.'s metal works...dirty riffin and tones of weight in it...
Super (but what's that electro drumming at the end?...:-)
