Cheers. It's all down to your hard work mate, I just added a few efx and didn't do a lot else really lol.
I'm just glad it didn't turn out sounding like Rick Astley or something.(It's happened before)

Wow, wicked cool track! It does sound scifi. I Really like how it builds up and that chanting is very effective. Nice piano too. Some parts remind me a bit of Hybrid (esp. with the drums).

Great job, thanks for the dl!

I'm a huge fan of Hybrid so i'm happy with that comparrison.

Thanks man, I'm on a bit of a mellow tip at the moment. I think it just kind of happens when you get old.
Glad you could stop by and find a minute to leave comments.
It makes a world of difference.

Pretty freakin' cool. Plenty to get into, the chants were nicely effected, if that is the proper way to describe it, lol. This would be cool for a movie soundtrack like in Bladerunner or some sci-fi flick. Everything sounds nice, impressive, gonna dl this so thanks a lot!

Hello Mate, I've been meaning to pop over your way, so i'm glad you could drop in and check out my attempt at something slower.
Yeah that Indian "Chanting". It's a free loop hidden away in the miscellanious files, in FL studio (they named it indian chant, i just went along with it). I've tried to use it a few times but this time it just seemed to fit perfectly, without actually having to do a lot except start it at the right time so, result really!
Anyway cheers for listening.

Hi mate nice work here, I wouldnt usually listen to Dub but im glad I stopped by. The link didnt work so I couldnt find the original. I liked this a lot though and will probably listen to more n the future!!

I've tried to do dub on a few occasions but something normally goes wrong half way through. Apart from larking about with the loops and chucking some effects on it i didn't actually do a lot really. Redgold supplied all the melodic parts. But next time i'm going to have a go all by myself (so it's bound to be shit)
Cheers for stopping by.

Thanks, I've always liked the dub genre but being no expert a remix seemed like the best place to start. All credit to Redgold for the composition of the track.
Cheers for dropping in.

FR, great use of Patricia's vocals, really amazing interpretation. Man this sounds so nice in headphones....just wish I had something to light up as well, hahaha. Reminds me of the days gone by and listening to Pink Floyd.

Anyway, extremely creative and a great listen. Outstanding effort.

Thanks man. I used to listen to flyod a lot myself many moons ago so perhaps there was some inspiration from them lurking in the back of my mind.
Looking back on it maybe i shouldn't have paid them so much attention because we do actually need some sort of education contrary to what Mr Waters would like us to believe.
Anyway, Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.

Oh yeyah!

I've been sitting here for 3 mins looking for something to light up, but I'd probably be out of a home if I lit anything here LOL. Other than that I got nothin to light up...however, my eyes did light up when I hit play.

I never really got the "chill" genre, other than [duh] its something to chill out to, sounds a little loopy and spacey and if it's anything like I've heard when people light up, it's perfect!!! This one's so sa-lo-oo-ow mo-oo-ot-ion hehe. If I had one lit up I probably would only chuckle at that, but I don't smoke, so....I'm laughing.

Free, I really like this! It's so laid back. Still amazing to me how one can listen to a whole song, all the while only extracting a certain part to make another whole song. Glad you could use the pella!! Lets get together again :-)

Great piece.

Thanks Patricia. It's a struggle for me to make a whole tune that doesn't somehow turn into techno, So i'm really pleased you like it.
I would have liked to have gone on but i was having some problems with a "ghost" sound from somewhere that kept tripping the levels. Now i know it converts alright without the phantom sound i'll have another go. Computers eh? I thought they were supposed to get better as time progressed.
Oh and i'd most definiteley be up for working with you again.

Ahhh mate.. I'm gonna have to get that vocal now.. That's niiiice..

As for the track. Love it. It rolls nice and smooooth. Particularly love the bongo's - gives a tribal feel. The pads are reminiscent of something akin to that of Enigma..

Do you think maybe I'd be able to get the wav's for this and add stuff? Sort of like a colab/remix type thing?

Nice job man :)

FreeRadical replied 22nd Mar 2012 - 13 years ago
Hey thanks man. Yeah of course you can have a go with it. As i was saying to Alen, I wanted to do more with it but it kept playing up so i just ended up keeping it short.
I'll chop it up into wavs and send it over for you.

Thanks man, I wanted to do more to this but the unconverted version kept hitting me with some sort of bug. Every four bars it would peak for no reason and i'd lose all sound. Weird!!
Glad you could stop by and tune in. PS (It would sound a lot better with some of your guitar over the top of it lol)

Toasted cheese for me please Free my friend, yet this is anything but cheese. This is quality mate. I understand where you are coming from about a genre but a quality track really dosen't need to filed under a style. It stands alone as a great piece of music & that is what this is.

This is pretty awesome! I really like those sweeping synths, they're tasty like a toasted sammitch. Nice energetic vibe to the whole track! Very good arrangement, it takes me on a journey! Cool strings! What can I say except I like it!

One toasted please!! Nice use of the gated synths here mate. And the voice thats sounds like those dudes of Battle star Galactica!! ha ha defo one for the electronic genre! Nice strings at around the halfway point, (couldnt get time!) Nice fade too! Awesome!

FreeRadical replied 11th Mar 2012 - 13 years ago
Thanks mate. I think i might be starting to improve again at last. It has got a certain kind of battlestar galactica or buck rogers kind of feel to it.
I should put in a sampole of tweaky going "bidi....bidi..bidi" ha ha! Do you remember that rubbish show?

As Shakespeare said "if music be the food of love give me a tune on your toasted sandwich". Your track description was indeed excellent as is this track. My knowledge of house, trance and techno is nil so these comments come from oldfartsville! Love it!! Yay, lots of layers, stuff dropping in and out, great sounds. Top job. Ah, strings too. Lots of 'em. Lovely. Great musical journey FR. Brilliant.

HA! xD

Kick "Fuck......" Kick Kick "Fuck......"

You *could* just say the guys saying "funk" .. you'd probably get away with it too

As to the track.. ummmm.... arrrr... There's plenty going on that's for sure. I bet this has had a few hours put into it.

I'd say it needs more low end really!

Other than that, I'd say it's all good in the hood :)

Lemme know when it's finished dude!
FreeRadical
FreeRadical replied 10th Mar 2012 - 13 years ago
Thanks man, Your right about the low end. I should go back and sort this out really. I dunno why, but i just seem to get almost to the end and then just think...."sod it, I'll start another one"
It's ridiculous really. It's a bit like climbing everest and then saying "screw this" when your one hundred feet from the summit.
Thanks for tuning in.

Sweet as the smell of a new car which is only one less a sweeter smell then a special something indeed ! This is awesome FreeR my friend. The House genre is so wide that many feel they can acheive but few rarely hit the nail so squarely as you have here. Vocals are gorgeous mate. I've downloaded this as this is a track I want loud on my 'phones late at night. This is progressive, chilling & banging all at the same time. Absolute quality mate

Thanks mate, As wonki said there are a few peaks in it but alas, This tune is consigned to the lap top graveyard now so unless i ever get round to buying the cable i need to raid my old hard drive this is the only remaining copy.
Glad you could stop by to check out my tune.

..you envy my vocal talent...and i covet your composition/production on tracks like this one. it is positively seamless. i concur with ALXSIX; i know many djs that would gladly spin this track -shyte, the majority of your tracks- in the club. the variety of synth melodies, playfully interacting with each other, mixed with the perfect amount and placement of vox peppered thruout made this track infectious. this is a "just shut up and dance" piece.
bravo!
..im gonna go stalk your pieces somemore...

Thanks again, This one was more of a "settling back in track" after a long break so i think it still needs a bit of TLC. I'd actually forgotten how it went until i just played it again. So much for origionality lol.
Thanks for tuning in and lending your time.
