yes, please...I would like some more.
This track gives you the time needed to get out on the floor and shake off the outside world while preparing for the techno trance. i love a good sneaker drop...one that says, "k, ya done gearin up cause we gotta GO NOW!" The main buzz synth melody commands attention be paid, as do your well timed breaks, all while the beat..just..pumps..away.
great use of various tonal and nontonal fx thruout. loved your placement of the vox [not overdone]. skillful composition and mastering, as well.
Its a thumper, alright..exactly how i like em :)
Well done!

Thanks for that inspiring review. I was pleased with how this track turned out and was so suprised by the lack of response it got when i posted it. Ah well, i guess it's just luck of the draw these days huh?
Thanks for lending your ears.

I really should check out more people's work and I thought I'd start by coming here today..

I've honestly gotta say I think this is awesome.. It's rare that I give out praise, it's normally just all criticism lol

From start to finish this has had me engaged... it's got a great progressive nature that just creeps right on up to ya. I think this is the first track of it's kind that I've heard.. LOTS of atmosphere that's reminiscent of Liquid DnB to me (which I love).

Despite the bass line being flat throughout, there's sufficient other going's on that reward my ears sonically.

There's a couple of places where the mix peaks (I think it's the growly, distorted bass thing) - but nothing major.

Not much more to say other than "Fantastic show mate!"

Keep Jammin'

thanks mate, yeah those peaks do kind of spoil it a bit and there's also this crackly thing on the bass that only ever mysteriously appeared after i'd converted the file. I spent ages trying to get rid of it but it was a bit like trying to spot the invisible man in a where's wally book.
eventually i settled on "f*ck it! that'll do."
Anyway, I'm a great believer in give as good as you get so i'm going to be popping over to your profile now to return the favour.
Thanks for tuning in Wonki (love that name by the way)

This doesn't kick ass!! It smashes it to bits along with the rest of the body! This is God damn awesome my friend! The song title is absolutely appropriate as this is a Sorceror's magic. So much depth and substance with a driving beat that blows your mind.

If the Prodigy had released this track, it would have gone mega global. Fantastic piece of music my friend and downloaded for sure!

Oh yeah I remember this track!
Pure Banger track, something like industrial / drum and bass,
Coney's excellent Pella, melts with this awesome vibe!
Big,Big up bro!

Thanks mate, Definitely one of the better ones from the old profile. Like yourself it no longer exists in any form i can work with so i'm just glad i bagged a copy for my MP3 before i closed the old account. I'm trying to do a bit more d&b although work is slow at the moment (the new lap tops a bit lacking in processing power and it's making life difficult)
Cheers for stopping by.

You always have a great way with percussion and how to build a song.
Like my other reviews of your songs, you impress me with the ebbs and tides of this track, you know how to go from point A to Z and produce A great song...and this is not even...AGAIN...my genre!

This is great!

I am A fan of what you do Nick,The intro was great to me cause of the build up,which I believe adds so much to any song.
When I heard your drums come in I knew I loved it...you know I can't do drums and you made them happen.
Honestly, your production and the added instruments reminded me of why our collab...with your talent was a great song.

I've heard many songs using this pella, your's is number one but I believe your contributions surpass the pella,no offense to her it's just that in this situation you rise way above the vocal to create such a cool song that would not require any additions and anyone could have filled in where you wanted...but you don't need it,unless it's my guitar of course:)

Thanks Allen. I'm a bit gutted that i keep having to resort to posting old tracks but some of them are still not bad. I got a new lap top although i think "crap top" would be a better description as it can't seem to handle what i want to do with it and it makes life painfully slow with regards to getting anything finished.
Glad you could stop by and give it a listen. Your comments are always welcome. (I must make a point of returning the favour as i've been real slack with the comments just lateley)

This is one of the most atmospheric and multi-faceted breakbeat tracks I've ever heard. It's a pleasure to listen to. Congrats! cheers

Thanks mate. It was done back in the day when i actually used to bother spending time on tracks which is a virtue i seem to have temporarily misplaced at the moment.
Thanks for tuning in.
Glad you enjoyed it.

My friend, this is an awesome track and I just wanted to express that view!

Thanks man, It's nice to know that i can occasionally come out with something that other members appreciate.
I still like this track though, metal and techno works pretty well together and i think there should be more of it.
Thanks for downloading this tune.

OMG!!! This is freakin awesome!!! Jeez my friend, I'm in love with this track!

Such a great techno / metal crossover which for me is what "Industrial Metal" is all about! Fantastic vibe and presence, great vox and basically, just a god damned fantastic track!!

Kudos my friend! I'm a big fan of this!! (Had to play it back to back)

By the way i visited your profile but i see you don't leave your stuff up for comments so i'll use this oppertunity to say i particularly enjoyed hip hop tribute and it would have been one for the MP3 if i could have swiped it.
Good job & thanks for stopping by.

This is wicked... best thing I've heard on here for some time... I'm gonna be brutally honest here and I don't want to offend. Here we go... Why do you make ok but dated techno when you're capable of unleashing bangers like this? If I had your talent I would make more like this and maybe some doors will open?!

Awesome track will be playing this to some other ears...
FreeRadical
FreeRadical replied 11th Dec 2011 - 13 years ago
Thanks man. It's actually a tougher question to answer than i first thought. The main reasons i guess would be that i've always had a soft spot for simple sounding stuff but it's also because i've been on a break for a while and techno is a good style for getting back into arranging (You know, you don't have to worry too much about where it's going or getting too complicated.)
But you are right, I should concentrate more on doing stuff like this as you're not the only one who's said that.
P.S. You do have as much if not more talent than me. I really rate your stuff and i can't ever remember hearing anything you've done that doesn't sound the dogs b0ll0k5!

There's loads i'd like to do to this but sadly it's on the hard drive of my old deceased lap top which has been gathering dust under the bed for the last year.
Glad you could stick around for all three.
I'm heading over to your profile right now!!!

Yeah, I kind of decided that i'm not going to let that annoy me anymore. It works both ways really. if they can't be bothered to say anything then i don't know who it was, so i wont be listening to their stuff(probably).
Cheers for tuning in. I'll be stopping over to have a more of a catch up with what you've been up to. First and foremost though............Sleep.
(I'm glad this tune sounds alright because i've been on chemicals all weekend and i couldn't really tell
