Intro sounds pretty cool, and become even better when that old school drum beat comes. 3rd part is OK, sounds wicked with that liquid acid bass. Overall, good work done here!
I like the track and am always fond of most stuff with piano in it. It is pretty catch with the changing cut-offs on the filters. Thanks for sharing this with us FR and hope you do fine further
Thanks mate, sorry for the late reply, this comment somehow slipped by unnoticed until i just re upped the track. Yeah it was my first attempt with harmour and i only used the presets so i've still got much to learn about it.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts.
FR
Mellow sounding tune. It has potential you just need to expand on the melody you set down. The extras, the cool synth effects are awesome on this one. I hear aceed like tones slowly building to the climax , I hear some really good synth sounds. The climax is very interesting and it becomes very acid like this is a good one..keep at this one with some cool pads and you will have an ultimate winner.
Thanks man, sorry for the late reply. This one seems to have slipped through the net. Glad you like the acid part. I'm actually thinking of investing in a propper 303 as the FL TB404 isn't that great. Then i shall be making some propper acid sounds.
Cheers for dropping by and reviewing the track.
FR
Nice groove, lovely build and such a nice way of punctuating the changes with some subtle crashes. Love the synth sounds you have and the piano is so infectious. Great job. Love it.
Hey Richie, long time no see. Glad to see you're still on the loop and thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts on this track. It was my first effort with a new synth so hopefully things will improve from here.
FR
This is fun to listen to. I'm noticing that's the case with your tracks FR. Reading some of your replies, I gather this is more of an experimenting demo as you try to get a handle on your Harmour synth. It sounds good though.
And get a handle on this synth quickly cause I'm looking forward to remixing a song of yours when you put together a kit! :)
You're right. This was my first attempt with harmor and i only used the presets (still haven't got a scooby do what i'm doing with it yet but hopefully one day the penny will drop)
Anyway Renz, cheers for dropping in and commenting. The fact that some people enjoy it is the reason i do it.
Take it easy,
FR
Hey Nick...pretty amazing sound you've got here man, huge actually...when I listen to a genre that I'm not a dilettante in it doesn't phase me one iota, music is music after all and all the rules of arrangement, mix and production values apply..I do like the immediate plunge into the main groove and then the backing off and temporal stage it gives the whole piece solid dynamics and lets it breathe....I'd really like to see how you'd go in a flower arrangement contest, and I don't say this lightly,it's a real art and takes a focused perspective to get right...I'm pretty sure you'd be good at it (unfortunately it does come with a certain effeminate stigma if your male...not that I'd know! lol)....cool stuff mate Dave
Unfortunately you'd never see me in a flower arranging contest as i prefer cross stitch and basket weaving.
Thanks for checking the track out as i know it's not really your thing.
I haven't written anything as good as this for ages so i bought a bunch of synths hoping to add some new dimensions to my sounds. Trouble is i don't know what i'm doing with any of them yet so it aint happening at the moment.
Cheers again for dropping by Dave. Always good to hear from you.
FR
I'm enjoying listening, it's like a little mini mix! Personally I'm enjoying the second half much more, partly because it's nice to hear you experimenting with new synths. The patches you're using sound very cool! If you keep at it, you'll be making some amazing presets! I really didn't mind the kick drum in the first part, sounded okay on this system. I am just getting to that acid sound, and it's great, awesome tone there! Nice movement to the mix, and the mastering is pretty dynamic too. Thanks for making the soundtrack to my fruit salad! Cool track! Fave!
One of your older tracks but it is pretty huge ;)
I love how you combined the vocals with the dark techy ambience. Hope you will revisit this style in the future and release something similar ;)
Cheers man. I can't seem to write stuff as good as this these days so i thought i'd give it a re-up.
Glad you could stop by and leave your thoughts.
FR
You've definitely got the whole D&B thing down. I really like how chill this one is. With that bass line and the lead synths/pads it's an easy one to fall into and just flow with the current.
The break starting at 1:50 was nice. I like the way you didn't completely drop out the, well....drum and bass. It was like a floating leap across the gap.
I can't exactly pinpoint it, but there's something about it that takes me back to the 90's. I think it's the Phasing. The 90's used a lot of Phasing for that darker, dreamier effect. That's a good thing in my eye. Or, ear, I guess.
Anyhow, like I said, you've got the D's and the B's all figured out, man. And we're all just a little bit luckier for it.
Take care.
V.
This is a pretty solid track. I really love the D&B. I've tried making it a few times myself, but it just doesn't work for me. So, not only am I impressed by this bad boy, but a little envious as well! You did excellent work with the vocals and panning. It's very fluid in it's dynamics, and everything fits so nicely. It's a seamless little ride.
I agree with Spivkurl. You do good work with the Reese and the Hoovers. They're such powerful synths and can easily be misused, or out of place. Not the case here.
As far as the length goes...the longer the better, man. Especially in something so rhythm driven. I mean, when it's time to fire one up and kick back to some tunes, you want to be able to enjoy the ride, right?
Anyhow, "cool track bro!"
Thanks, I think this is one of the better ones i've made lateley so i thought i'd give it a re up. I don't know why i don't do more D&B because they normally turn out alright. I'm glad you could drop in and comment because i rate your stuff and that makes all the difference.
Cheers.

What I focus on is the negative stuff, that can be corrected. Today I have one thing, that I noticed. Do you sweep the frequencies to eliminate painful frequencies?
I watched the video and i can't say as it's something i've ever tried but if i ever manage to make something more up to date and half decent i might give it a go, but this little bit of looping and sampling probably doesn't deserve the attention if i'm brutally honest. It's a bit like a throwback from 15 years ago.
Never say never again is one of my favourite Bond films so i liked that clip (My favourite part is where he takes out that big dude with a cup full of piss).
Anyway, cheers for stopping by, sharing videos and leaving comments. It's all appreciated.

Another awesome one from you! What can I say, I am a fan of your music! This one is going on the Ipod. I really am happy you joined this website, making my music experience a much better one. Thanks for the listen and hope to hear more from you in the future!
FreeRadical, You're the man! Honestly in my opinion, I think you should stick to making house music as you're just really great at it. Every last house track you have here, (4 in counting) I loved.
These tracks are professional sounding and sounds like they would be played in a club of some sort by an awesome DJ. Keep up the great work and please upload more. I love it!
I'm glad you think so but i'm not happy with any of the tracks i've written just lateley. Perhaps it's because i quit smoking the green stuff. I bought all these synths but i haven't got a clue how to use them so hopefully things will improve once i get my head around them.
Cheers for dropping in and commenting.
FR
Damn FR, you're like a master dude. Every track of yours is quality, professional stuff. If you haven't already, I really hope you get the chance to fulfill your music goals and dreams, because you are gifted, Sir.
B.K.
I have to disagree. I think my stuff is still stuck in the ninetys so i bought some synths to try and bring it up to date. Trouble is i don't yet understand them properly so by the time i get my music up to date i'll probably still be fifteen years behind lol.
Anyway, thanks for tuning in and leaving comments.

It's got a real good feel to it, that old school bounce I can remember all
those grooves...
Solid changes pocket transitions harmonic balance total lockdown...
Baaaad piece of work here My Man, most enjoyed this track...
Thanks TG, Again it was mostly loops so it's only a case of arranging an EQing, It doesn't take a great deal of thought. Just a lot of searching and trial & error.
Thanks for dropping by and checking out this track.

Thanks for sticking around and listening to the whole thing. I think ten minutes is too long for a lot of peeps round here. Cheers as well for commenting twice.
FR
Yeah i hear you, I think i had the levels up a bit too loud to compensate for the fact that the last two thirds were quiter. I need to go play with the faders a little. Still, i love doing these little mixes because you don't know where it's gonna go.
Thanks for dropping in and checking it out.
FR
Dont know how you keep it up but well done, another masterpiece mate. The first and last tracks are the stand out ones for me. I think maybe you should try and do a complete a whole track from any of the ones you've done so far, what you reckon? ha ha.
I keep it up because i'm currently a prisoner in my own home and i've got jack shit to do except make tunes and play xbox. You're right, i should do a complete track but way i see it is that we get ten minute slots so we might as well use them up.
Cheers for dropping in as always.
