Man I love the clarity of your tracks, I don't think people realize how deep you dive into your tracks...I listen, that little whine buried about 6 or 7 layers deep....I was what is that...so many others may never notice it, but I was like damn he had to do it!

It's easy to get good clarity with pro loops as most of the eq is already how you'd want to use it.

I always save at the highest bit rate and then run it through audacity which converts the vile to a smaller size without losing quality. I don't know if you have a copy but if you don't it's free and definitely worth downloading.

I'm not sure which noise you mean by the little whining noise, it was probably a mistake lol!

Anyway, I'm glad you could drop in and leave your thoughts on this track, if i'm honest i'm not that happy with it but then it's very rarely i am these days.

Cheers!!!

This was really a great house journey and i think it's a significant example of what you're generaly up to in the music production. You're doing really great, my friend...the future is bright..:)^^

I Like that deep bassline, cool synths too! I like the snare roll and how it transitions into the next part, would be cool to have some sort of building delay on the synth before you drop the bassline again! Second part sounds really 90's, vocals work really well! The last part is ace, almost like its jumping out at me! Sounds really good mate, well done!

Thanks. I might try and add a few more layers and give it a bit more depth. In all honesty i'm not that happy with any of the stuff i've been making lateley so i think it could be a lot better.

I am liking this track! The old school vibe which then turns into this modern sorta vibe is a great transition. Beginning reminds me of the MK remix of 'Push The Feeling on' by The Nightcrawlers.

Definitely going in my faves.

Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

Yeah i know the Nightcrrawlers but i'll have to go and check the track out. Like yourself, i really like the old school vibes so thanks for noticing that & i'm glad you liked it enough to FAV it. It makes all those long hours sat in front of a screen seem worthwhile.
Cheers.

FreeRadical replied 31st May 2014 - 11 years ago
Sure, i'm always up for people laying down some vocals. If you want i can update it (turn it into one track, get rid of the vocal that's there already and most importantly, get rid of that annoying, clicky bass drum)
It would probably only take a few hours although i'm off to sleep soon so it probably wont be done until tomorrow.
I'm always looking out for singers so thanks for getting in touch.

wonderful work.
Interesting you use this line of reasoning about the name of the song and music behavior.
two moments within a single song.

I really liked the bassline, and the melodies of arping and piano, and of course, the vocals were perfect.

particularly liked the work done at 6:45. one Arp acid is emerging clean.
moment of ecstasy of music.
beautiful performance.

this style of music is very good

we could try a collaboration as FL studio. [Trance]
  what do you think?

send a message on my profile if you're interested, then I'll send the files.

Yeah i'll do a trance collab with you if you want. I dunno how you want to work it. Did you have something in mind? I have a whole pile of unfinished track i could send one over to you or you could send me some parts. I'm not fussy really.
Anyway, i'm glad you liked the track enough to want to do a collab.

Listening with headphones this morning. I thought the first part was exceptional, loved the vocals, mysterious, haunting. I've never heard of that synth, how is it? Is that the synth doing the arpeggios? Over 10 minutes and the quality still sounds good, is it a 128 kbps?

The transitions are nice and the parts all tie together well. The second half has a different sound and feel compared to the first half but it all seems to come together well.

Well done as usual!

Yeah the synth is really good, it's just the user that sucks lol. I'm sure it can do a lot more than i've been doing with it (In fact i know it can because i've watched the demo)
Everything i record at the highest bit rate, then i run it through audacity which cuts the file size but somehow manages to keep the quality good. I forget now who told me about that but it's come in real handy.
Glad you could drop in and comment.

So far i "think" my four downloads are legit (yeah right)
But i'm not happy with this. The bass drum on the first part is too clicky and theres stuff in the second part i don't like as well. To be honest i only posted it because i've got nothing better and i'm trying to move away from using loops all the time. I have synths now so there's no excuse.
Cheers for dropping in as always mate.

YEAH, now that's how its done bro !
That is one tight mix.
Nice progressions, builds, flow and transitions.
Pretty damn good with the Harmour stuff too.
I think the fade out around 4:00 sort of destroys the continuity though. A little blending there without the fading would make it seem more like one continual track.
I liked how you finished by bringing back the initial melody and totally dig the ending too.
Great track bro, nice job.

Thanks man, Theres a few things in this track i don't like so i'm not actually very happy with it and kind of wish i'd just left it as the one track. I don't like the kick drum in the first section because it has this annoying click on it and there's a synth i don't like in the second part. Sadly i didn't realize i hated it until after i'd posted the track. But i guess shit really does happen sometimes.
Cheers for stopping and leaving your thoughts.

Feels good...I could see the floor jumping to this, I like the 32nds and 16th
notes you used in the synth pattern it took it upstairs...

It don't take much to make'm dance, I think the trick is not to beat them over
the head with sounds, but Beat Up their bodies with Rhythms that are
connected to sounds..Like you've done here...
If you get my Drift...
I may be wrong, so you can take this like a grain of salt...But it feel good..

Anyway Nice work...

Peace...TG.

Thanks mate. I just played it back and thought "I gotta change that kick drum" It sounds really clicky and i can't believe i've only just noticed it. Ah well back to the old drawing board.

This is such a wild ride, I see you sell yourself short on this track.....It's like getting 5 different songs in 1 download...that's crazy....
I'm not a trance kinda guy, but I do enjoy a lil house...and the first 2 mins had that house feel...then all of a sudden the second phase kicked in and I was hooked!

This is crazy....what goes on in your mind?

It's just something that i've thrown together today. I thought the intro sounded a bit empty and the end sounded kind of crowded. I just recently bought a load of synth plug ins and i've been trying to get to grips with them so i'm feeling like a total amature again as all of them are pretty complex. This was my first attempt with Harmour so i'm hoping it's onwards and upwards.
As for what goes on in my mind. I think that's best if it stays in my mind.
Glad you could find time to drop in and check out this track(s)

Yep... It's a little off the beaten track for you, never the less it cooks in it's
simplicity...If the chord formula doesn't work, with minimal tracks it's not
going to work at all, don't care what you add to it....
All of this feels good and lots of potential...This deserves some added
work done to it.... Nasty Bounce at the end..That's what it is right there...

Very well done...

Peace...TG.

Hi FR,

Another fine one laid down, love this laid back almost funky house style with some neat changes in there. Though its not the most dancy tune, it still would fit in well on a set. For me you have used the loops you have so well and filled in seamlessly..not bad for something you cobbled together!!

Best wishes,

Mark/Larry!

This is quite cool! Have been getting out of DnB a bit lately, but this is bringing me back! To me it's one of your most clear and modern sounding mixes, at least that I've heard. Everything is in it's place, even when that places is moving about! Love the breakbeat you used in here, it's very speedy! You are very good at using hoover and reese type sounds I've noticed, so you deserve recognition for that. A fun one to listen to! Dig it! Fave!

Yeah this is nice! That sound around 1:34 creeped me out, I thought there was someone or something trying to talk to me. Sounded like it was right in the room. Very dynamic mix, and good transitions, just like I've come to expect from you. Can I call this track "House of the Rising Dub?" Nice and bouncy, fun and relaxing to listen to! Sweet track my friend! Keep at it!

FreeRadical replied 30th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Again i missed your comment mate. Yeah that thing that creeped you out was from a pack called contagious audio. It'ss full of stuff to creep people out but i hardly ever use it because none of the loops ever seem to fit with anything. This time it worked. Hurrah!
Anyway, always good to hear from you spiv. Glad you liked the track.

It would be nice if i could add a personal touch but hey ho.

Man this is just awesome....!!

The intro bassline is perfect and cool.Does its job.

Loved the vocals. They are really powerful.Good selection there. The first half is just perfect and as many members mentioned the second half is really a big change.

You should make the first half more fuller and can even make another song from the second half.

Track is well mixed.Perfect for clubs. The track will just uplift with some cool wobbles and more synths.Try to make it more Dub.

Really cool pack and good investment though.
And could you check my track here - https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/156302

Really Good - I really like and admire the restraint and discipline up until about 4:18 when it breaks out. Break out works but not as tight. Professional quality throughout. Very good vocal application. This is clubable!
