I like your songs since I could hear them anywhere, and know that it is yours... possibly it is that I don't listen to much of the music which you are influenced by, but I still like that aspect of your music. As a fellow head injury victim, I can hear the serious note below the comedy here, at least I think I hear it. This also reminds me of the show "Roseanne," since she hits Dan with a frying pan pretty often throughout the series. It's funny, but also sad. Very cool and fun song though, and your performances are great! Thanks for sharing!

No matter the subject...when you play it with feeling it always sounds good to me....something classically good about this one Mark....as always the lyrics & vocal delivery come with your signature...and thats a very good thing....With the current state of our planet its good to listen to some humour...maybe I`ll go hide all the heavier type frying pans in the house...a big well done to you...Cheers...Ed

why do you think people could be uggly with your work? all work is respectable even if it's not our sensibility.
For my own, i understand than the comic aspect is in the lyrics... but as i don't understand very well english so i missed this part.

About melody and instruments, your work is really awesome. I'm sure the result you wanted is a success!

Always enjoy me some Floyd. Yeah I could see how any Floyd song would be daunting to cover but especially this one. Nice job though. Solid sound going on.

Hey Mark, Dude you blew me away with this cover man !
Its not everyday that someone takes on such a classic track as this. Its obvious that you put a ton of work into it and the finished product is undoubtedly very cool. With these covers, unlike some people who are so critical at how they compare to the original, I do like to see a pretty close reproduction with the music but also enjoy the differences in how you make it your own. My hats off to you bro, I love it! The one idea that did come to mind as I listened it was maybe a cool modern twist would be to add some vocoded effect to the vocals. I think that's where you will receive the most critique on this. Great work regardless, I thoroughly love to see the cover tracks and this is one of the best examples in quite a while.

Wow ty Neo,
I stewed over the vocals for a while....what to do, what to do.
I appreciate the compliments my friend. Definitely the biggest cover song I have done yet....and far more difficult than when I covered Stairway To Heaven.
This was more about personal accomplishment for me and I really feel good about it.
Mark.

Kyle,
TY my friend. When I began it was like looking up at a mountain...I moved one pebble at a time and just have listened to it over and over about 500 times.

Mark, brother, I am so stoked you did a cover of this track. It's one of my all time favorites of PF. This is really, really well done, but that is nothing new. Great instrumentation, and the mix is just solid as it gets. Had to grab a download (thanks for that), and added it to my MWR collection.

Outstanding! Happy holidays to you and the family Mark. Stay warm dude. Hope all is well.

Bear,
Thanks for coming by for a listen and DL. TY also for the compliments. I really took this one serious. The synth solos were the most enjoyable element to do in this puppy. Merry Christmas to you as well my friend.
Mark.

Loving that harmonica, it won me over instantly. And the vocals work perfectly with the southern-gritty-blues vibe. Good work on the mix, there were places where the track could've easily fallen apart, but you kept it all coherent and fiendishly listenable. By coincidence, I found this tune goes well with a glass of Jim Beam. Great stuff:)

Great rhythm guitar rock based song. Big heavy chords lay a beefy foundation for the vocals. At least 3 different rhythm tracks that I can quickly pick out. They all have their place, nice mixing.

Great story song with personal lyrics. It rocks. That is always a good thing. Nice one Mark!

Hi Mark

It's always good to hear a "proper" song on the loop. Verses, choruses, backing vocals and multiple guitars. Great stuff. Right up my street. I really like this and your Dylanesk vocal works really good. Excellent.

southern sounding stuff. Very well played and produced ! This one is a favourite!

The only thing I suspect is wrong with this is to buy the beans and pay the rent you're doing something very different.
Beeeeg mistake!

This is truly amazing...I faved from the first note...only 1 question: never thought to get 2nd or 3rd part on your lead vocal at the chorus for example?

With appreciation, Danke
