Good old rock MW I'm not religious but I know good music great guitars and drum work that lead is standout, and a great vocal performance, thanks for sharing bro
I really liked the 3 part harmony guitar parts in the lead. I always liked bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Thin Lizzy that used harmony leads. Well done Mark, enjoy your holidays!
This is a first in featured Christian rock, MW thank you. I'm none religious but that doesn't stop me commenting on a good rock track great guitar playing, your vocal is cool too, and the drum you wrote in midi is good also, well done and merry christmas
Now this has been a long time since i heard a good 80s vibed sound based track in here. I loved it. It reminds me of the good old days when i was young and stupid hehe. Aah those were the good old days back than. So yeah all i can say is a job very well done. Everything was well balanced from elements to the vocals as well as the mixing part of this track. So yeah no mistakes has been made on this song. Which i always like to see and hear. Also this track deserves a spot in my favs list. Simply because it made me feel nostalgic. And for good old times sake. So yeah have a good one, and keep on creating and listening, Verdi
Verdi,
TY so much. I've always enjoyed listening to this song (it was released in 1980 and I was 14.) Yes the good old days.
The entire project was fun.
TY for the fave.
Mark.
Devo was great, totally innovative musically and visually. Great job on the cover and the mix, even all the way around as far as volume levels. Fun percussion at the end, agogo maybe?
Wayne,
Thanks buddy. Devo was an assembly of very likeable nerdy guys lol, and yes innovative, and very fun to watch.
I had a lot of fun doing this one.
Mark.
Jamid,
Thanks so much. This was a really fun song to do...nothing political, nothing sad, just pure fun. The guitar work was surprisingly advanced lol...keeping it tight took a couple of days of practise.
Mark.
Hey Mark,
this has always been a favorite of mine too and you're doin an excellent cover here. Your voice suits perfectly, and damn - it makes me wanna roll (another) one ....;o)
Greetings from germany,
Michael
Thanks buddy. I did a couple of small changes on the song but most people probably wouldn't notice them. Other than that, I tried to get it as close as possible to the original. Definitely one of my fave new wave bands of the era and they were always fun.
hahhh...fantastic piece...not really sad but hopeful for me...dogs and pets are our best friend...
we can't do them so badly that they don't want us indefinitely ...rest in peace Lucy...
Danke,
TY buddy.
Yes pets sure do have a way of working their way into your heart. They are always there for us. Lucy used to curl up at my feet when I was in my studio and when i was performing this song, out of habit I would look for her and then remember she was gone.
I am not ashamed to admit that I shed many tears in the studio doing this song and I think my raw emotion showed through in the recording.
Some people run for a bottle when they are sad....I run for my guitar lol...always have.
Mark.
Wayne,
Good to see you old fried and TYVM.
Yes pets become surrogate children to their owners.
As far as getting a puppy, we have worked with an animal rescue in the area for 7 years and a mixed 3 yr old dog we have fostered (her name is Panda because of her black and white markings) will be staying with us permanently. She has been a handful and is a little like TNT mixed with enriched uranium lol...she's nuts and strong but only about 18" tall. But she has a heart of gold and loves me/obsessed with me. She's home now.

Solid mix, the guitar lead rocks! Guitars have a thick tone. Nothing wrong with a blues progression. Vox sound good, well mixed as well!
Take care!
Wayne
TYVM bud. BDEm on this one. With this progession, it's easy to settle into the song while playing. Thanks for the listen.
