Wow, what a great track, recording sounds pretty sweet, nice and even. Pauline has a great voice. I went to your website and watched a few vids. Echo Beach? YES!! Haven't heard that song in so long, lol! Well done on the cover!
Great to hear from you! All is well thank you and now firmly established back in the UK. Glad you enjoyed the track and "pretty sweet" is praise indeed. Thank you. Pauline will be knocked out with your comments too. Thanks on her behalf.
Good to see you back again, specially with this kind of quality song...I don't know the original but it's no problem, I think... :-) clean, pure, beautiful music you make here with this lady... she is a treasure :-)
thanx for the upload, DL, Favd, commented, listened many times... :-)
It's good to be back and I glad you like the song. I actually didn't listen to the original much (we do this song with the band so I knew it from there). I like the "clean, pure, beautiful" comments very much and Pauline will be knocked out with your comments too. Thanks on her behalf.
It is nice to hear again one of your productions here .... Nothing has changed, everything is "square" and very professional. You have not lost your touch ....
And as written below Dave, "you are a perfectionist" in the field so complex, of the music, and in a style that is unique to you.
I am very happy to hear from you, and I hope everything goes well.
Hey Richie..your at it again mate, how come you seem to have the inside lane to all the hot female vocalists!lol...What a great cover!...truthful to the original but with just the right amount of verve and panache to make it totally self sufficient in it's own right..I couldn't help reflecting how easily Pauline could step into Patsy Cline's shoes, she has that 'clear tone to the bone' vocal presence so important for country-fied (fried, lol) excursions(and anything else I might add)....I just know that audiences you play in front of will leave well satisfied because whether you like to admit or not your a perfectionist in your craft..and it shows.
I'm hoping my wife Linda doesn't find out the answer to your question (inside lane on hot female vocalists)! Glad you enjoyed this cover and my take on this lovely song. Pauline with be knocked out with comparisons to Patsy Cline so thank you on her behalf.
The perfectionist thing is true - I spend a lot of time on every aspect of the process and sometimes think I'm obsessive! I try to get it right.
Thank you very much - your comments are very much appreciated. Pauline is a great vocalist and is good to work with (both live and in the studio). She will be knocked out to read your praise. Thank you on her behalf.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks again for stopping by.
dear throughbred colleague of mine , my appology for discoverinG this such late + so beautifull it was , worthy of admiration by every respect .best wishes.__Behnam
Well now you ask YES! I've always liked this style of music but never before posted anything because I thought is wasn't good enough. Thanks for the encouraging comment. I'm going to work on the track some more and try to get it finished.
A dash of funk...a splash of jazz...I know nada about a lot of genres Richie & don`t pay much attention to them so I`m with whatever you decide it is...note you mentioned sax...I personally think that would be a great addition..I can hear it a nice sax piece in my mind as I write...sliding smoothly over the busier key bits..kudos on keeping it fairly minimal where everything is nice and crisp and plays its part (I have cluttered more than a few of my own mixes in the past...now more careful not to do so)...You`re off to a great start and its nice to hear a new one from you after what seems like a very long time....great stuff....keep on....Ed
Thanks for the comments - always good to have you drop by and listen. Hope to get the sax player from the band I work with around soon to try some ideas and maybe put a guitar synth part down myself too. Yes, there's a lot of space left and as you say the trick is not to fill it all!
Hey Richie good to see you man!...nice sounds mate!,forget all that housey mousey crap (I mean the genre tag,I don't want to upset any house fans!)...your playing fusion here 100% plain and simple..a muso always plays his age there's no escaping it..from the tight punchy bassline,to that lovely swirling lead progression it's pure jazz rock(fusion)...now that we've got that acorn out of the way I can review it (lol)...What I really dig about this piece is the space available and room to extemporise freely notwithstanding the early phase in it's construction..I'd be inclined to further expand your dark 'synth' side and add an electronically styled counter melody throughout, everything else is already there...it's cool now and will be an absolute cracker I'm certain!...cheers Dave :)
Good to hear from you and thanks for the comments. I've tried to keep the track skinny clean and a bit "precise" if that makes sense. Yes, fusion seems to be a common thread of the comments posted so I'm happy with that.
It's work in progress and your suggestions on expanding some electronic counter melodies will work well. Thanks also for noting the space available which of course I will resist filling up. The sax player in the band has a copy of the track and I hope to get him around sometime and see what he comes up with. Could be interesting!
Anyway I think this kind of things is right up your street so maybe next track we should have try at doing something together? What do you think?
I just finished my listen and I would say that this is not house, it's more of a funk-jazz fusion. If you change the beat to a more 4 to the floor house sound of which it has the potential to be a massive jazz-house tune. That being said, it's a really good tune on it's own and I enjoyed listening to it.
Funk jazz fusion it is then! OK I'm learning all the time and maybe sometime I'll change the drum pattern to a four on the floor variety and see how it sounds. Thanks for listening and appreciate your comments.
I have to apologise sincerely for not responding to your posting. It's been crazy relocating to UK and things have got lost. Thank for stopping by and checking out this track. Much appreciated.
Yep, this is it for me, perfection in every sense of the word. The piano arrangement, the chord selection, the subtle acoustic guitar, and that amazing voice from Farisha. This is simply outstanding. This should be bought by one of the major labels. Thank you for sharing your awe inspiring talents with us mere mortals guys. Top top track!
Great as ever. Very nice work here. I love the changes in this song. I may need some help from you on one of my songs. Maybe add a little guitar here and there.
I really hoped someone would take this and make a great old skool song of it, and that's exactly what you did! It makes me think back when love seemed to be more genuine between 2 people, when music was much different.
Always glad to collab and turning cartwheels working with my bestest collab partner again :-)
Yes, I love our (your) work very much. Thanks again for the amazing vocal line and all the additional three part harmony tracks you very kindly completed (including those cartwheels - fantastic effort!!!). Patricia - you are a star!! I think the track stands up very well and even after having to cut bits out so that it wasn't too large to uploaded it works really well.
Good to see/hear you back Richie...and in the best of company with Patricia...you are an unbeatable pair when it comes to the music...great track & much enjoyed over my way..You two hit the ball out of the park again......a big well done to both of you...Ed
Very well done, I have nothing new to add that hasn't already been said, Great track, Regardless of music taste everyone can appreciate this Masterpiece!!
Apologies for the late reply to your comments. Firstly thank you for taking the time to stop by and listen. Glad you enjoyed the track and I am knocked out with your kind words. Thank you.
Very Nice version of this pella-song combo. Brings a very thoughtful emotional sound utilizing your piano, and I like the gospel like voices and harmonies you have going on. Good Work!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment. Much appreciated. Patricia has such a wonderful vocal style and the harmonies are fantastic to work with. I'm so lucky. Glad you enjoyed the track.

It feels more like a jazz, fusion to me. I think house has more of a drive with the kick.
Nevertheless it's a nice chill and relaxing piece of work. Love the guitar solo, it's different for you, but one thing's the same...it's good!
