nice to see you around again Ian this is a lovely atmospheric piece great creativity shown the poem is great nice return track you really pushing the boundries here, great listen
The music is fantastic, atmospheric and creative. Nice use of the space as far as panning and effects. The vocals were different, the poem was interesting. Liked how you ended it!
Hey Wayne - thanks mate - always value your feedback and appreciate your support - I see you have a new one which I will shortly enjoy treating myself too - always love a humps track : )
just love that lilting trippy country feel, the reading is just as good as it gets. the air of breezy creativity and warmth and sense of place is feckin transcendental man. brilliant, utterly transporting music, ian!
is this a found piece of vox? rare stuff.
Hey Michael - thanks for checking this out - I think there is some more I can use from that squeaking gate, with less manipulation, but you know how it is once you start exploring what the software can do and blending sounds - the vox I found at the https://poetryarchive.org/. I hope that given the context (ie; lounge room amateur and not for profit use) using this is not a problem but can take it down if it is
This piece of musical art is so innovative. This is so different to what we usually get to listen to. I like when artists think/create outside the box. An exhilarating listen indeed BTW Mr Bernard & his poetry is simply AWESOME! This is splendid! Work! Kudos!...Hearting this one for sure! :)
Thanks Terry - well that the title and the vox are all thanks to Nick. I did mess with it a bit (cut it up and treated it 4 ways) but Im not sure he'd thank me for that!
Ian, dude this is the best fuckin glam i’ve heard for ages. the chill electronics and the warm electronics tweak very sweetly along with nick’s vox, it’s like bryan ferry as the terminator, hella cool. pal, i can’t tell you what yr support means so thanks for listening to my drive-by-night crap. this is a c e.
nice job Ian, this is a charming piece, its of a period, old crooner. well mixed together, volume on the vox could come down slightly they sitting on top love all the percs sound quality is crystal clear.
One thing for sure I know I would not be able to create around his style and you did a good job on that. The clav is so cool used as a snare or clap. Interesting. He definitely has a style from the '80s. I need to start incorporating more instruments into my creations. This actually came out really good man
Nice one Ian. Nick has a great voice and your music is subtle and nuanced produces a lovely contemplative and reflective feel. Your production sounds crystal clear to me too.
Nice intro! I like spoken word.
Great sax! This guy at first sounded a little like Al Pacino. So this guy's a philosopher? Great melody the synth acidty sound is brilliant
Hey CC - Kurt Vonnegut was an american writer maybe best known for his fiction writing - he was an interesting guy and died about 15 years ago now - there's a newish documentary film called unstuck in time about his life and work - that was what made me revisit him and appropriate a few lines. Thanks for listening and the warm feedback
pseudoble, so this hits hard. Strong content spoken, every name mentioned made my ears stand on edge on top of that excellent instrumentation. You captured the essence of meaningful expression! Faved my friend.
What's up Ian, no matter how long I'm away I know where to get my avant-garde music fix. I think the loose but tight feel of this track is very satisfying. The informative spoken word is icing on the cake.
Hey Jynxz - Im crazy busy but not dead yet - hope you are doing well. Thanks for the warm feedback mate - hope to listen to your new one as soon as I can
I was born in Indiana. Vonnegut is required reading lol. Really though, nice choice. I'm a fan of your song construction and especially the mood of this one.
Go check out the new(ish)documentary film on Kurt - 'unstuck in time' - that was why he was in my mind - it was decades ago I read slaughter house five and breakfast of champions and Im not sure what else. He is an interesing character I enjoyed the film : )
