Thanks Bod - Got a few those already but lots of stuff I dont know too - I like to experiment with different sounds and instruments and tools but at this stage my results are somewhat still somewhat accidental - never follow a recipe when I cook either - though probably sometimes should ; )
different for you Ian. are the male vox you? agree with Wayne there's is a ring of Gary Newmam CARS to it, the beats cool and synth work nice well done mate good listen
Hey Paul - thanks mate. Yeah my very quick lyric and vocal, looked for something just to add some interest to the track but couldnt find one so did that in flash and was actually surprised I could use it : )
Get back to some listening tonight - coffee now, then work, work, work, hope life is treating you well.
Looking forward to your next one.
This has a wicked! beat and to be honest I'm not usually a fan of electro music but this is growing on me the the more I listen to it & I like it :) The vocals are a nice touch & also add another dimension to the track. A very super unique! track with a brilliant! sound indeed & as always, wonderfully produced. Nice one Ian. Kudos!
Hi Angelus - thanks I never quite know where Im going when I start and the process is kinda random but such fun. I very much appreciate the listening and the warm feedback. Cheers
: )
This is cool, different for you! Music reminds me a bit of Gary Numan. I like the approach of the vocals with the more electronically based music. There's a good dichotomy of sounds going on here.
It's free. Almost all the stuff I use is free, with the exception of what comes with FL Studio Pro (which still has more stuff to pay for within it, which is bullshit, post $200).
Thanks Bod - the sax is not a plugin ... thats one of 2 samples along with the vox samples (sorry should have written that more clearly)
I like pendulate too - but vital is amazing
Thanks for listening ... I just posted this afternoons effort but have to go to bed ... big work day tomorrow ... so look forward to listening to your new one (and others )the end after work tomorrow : )
ohhhhh this is simply sublime! Pseudoble, you produce some real beauties, listening to your tracks just, carry me away to another place beyond here...So ethereal what a vibe! this is. Sweet! vocals also. Fantastic work indeed Loved this & it's another FAVE! to add to my list. Gorgeous! Work Maestro! :)
Thanks Rita - been trying to find time to make some better tracks but mostly just experimenting with all the software and vst options ... as you know it's an endless learning curve and sometime more, sometimes less successful but always fun
Thanks for listening and the warm feedback : )
Very nice and relaxing. I like the guitars showing up in the mix without being too intrusive, just a nice single coil (?) sound, and then again with a bit more distortion.
I use a nice old yamaha (unpopular but top of the range pacifica) mostly (also have a few classical and a taylor steel string cutaway. Usually play in the second postion sometimes the first so its a humbucker and single coil combined mostly.
I used to play through a little gadget called zoom which was pretty good but six months ago got onto Neural DSP - go check the range out - Ive trialled all of the archetypes and more https://neuraldsp.com/plugins. The range of sounds that you can achieve is amazing and well spotted there are two different set ups / presets / configuration on the guitar in this track
: )
What a fantastic track. Absolutely deeply relaxing. Everything is beautifully set and in flux. I especially like your sporadic guitar parts. It could go on like this all night... Bravo
great chillout sound Ian, really nice feeling, its dreamy and the vocal is cool, nice drums, the sax is blinding, the synth and guitar sit great together, the Tibetan Singing Bowl is fresh and like Wayne said, time to grab the bong and call the lads round for a smoke up.
Hey Paul - thanks mate - hope you are getting your head around the awesomeness of your new hardware and software - it' amazing how it can be so complicated and still fun I reckon : )
Hey Wayne - thanks mate - I didnt like the first one I made with the new drum machine much so went straight onto making this track - If I'd had a drink or smoke I'd never have got it done though it might have been more fun hey : )
Nice track Ian the sounds you getting with the modular synths you've fell in love with are great and the best part is its original, you know me mate, I'm a big fan off being yourself, and being different and you most definitely are, if they want regular, or to the script they can always put the radio on, well done again bro
I like it! It's very original; you took many sounds and noises, and somehow made that into music, and that's not an easy task.
One minor point you could consider (I'm hoping this would help) is that you could have maybe more of a focus or audible change, an evolution towards the end of the song or maybe even a sort of climax. I think it might make it even stronger, but it's already very interesting.
Well done buddy!
Thanks - yeah I tend to not have any real structure to the songs and that is something I have to try and work on - still learning - I kind of get stuck is just getting the sounds happening without thinking so much of telling a story / developing a narrative or even having a beginning, middle or end. It's good to be reminded to think about that it does make tracks more interesting : )
Hey CC - yeah it is more electronic than lofi - the bell and chimes sounds come from the modular synths and they add a lot of the texture too. Thanks for listening and commenting : )

My "private" playlist. Maybe you will find some inspiration there to stretch out into other genres/styles.

Vital was a game changer for me, along with Pendulate, which is a mono "west coast" synth.
You should try this piano plugin

This is pretty chilled out, laid back, hit the bong goodness, lol! A bit trippy. There's lots going on, much to listen to.
It's well mixed, I can hear everything clearly. Cool atmosphere and feel to the track, great job!
