All I can say atm is I am truly glad I gave your older songs a listen. Youre a hero to your daughter, man. And we are glad you shared that with us in the form of this song - not that it wouldnt be good without that part, it just cranks it up a few notches for us. My young daughters are both beginning to want to make music with dad, and this made us think of that.

Make sure you indulge them man, it's fun. I'm jamming a bit with my son at the moment, me on guitar, him on midi drums with bass loop going. Anyway, this track will always have a place in my heart, it captures a moment in time for me.

Old track I wrote and played on acoustic guitar for decades. I was always quite pleased with the lyrics. I've played it in all sorts of styles.

A friend described this as misanthropic which is probably about right considering the inspiration was a trip to the subantarctic Auckland Islands which have an amazing story of shipwreck, cannabilism, murder and survival against the odds.

Thanks Mark. Yes she was a great positive influence here and gave a lot of useful feedback to me and many others. As for this track, I wrote the bare bones, Nuela and her band completely re recorded it. Cheers Chris.

Hi, thanks a lot. Yeah it was fun trying to layer all the synths and get it sounding good with just two notes. I'm thinking about doing a piece sometime that only allows you to use two fingers in playing any instruments. The two finger challenge, what do you reckon lol.

Yes, I could almost have put it under folk really. I loved the concept and lyrics they came up with. My original song had no vocals/lyrics but when I heard this I thought it suited the intent of my vibe perfectly. If I ever finish my version, I might even steal the lyrics....
