The instrumentation on this is top shelf, but man, that crispy mix is what sends this one off into the stratosphere. Insanely good, feels like I'm there at a live session with you guys. Really well done. I hope all is well.

Hi Bear, yep a jam track really. We had some fun with it. Good to hear the mix sounds ok, production is not my forte. All the best to you. Thanks, Chris.

Original. I like the atmosphere. See my profile pick. My wife and I got married in Virginia City, Nevada in the 1800's Courthouse. All the guests wore western wear. Too bad we didn't have "Western Spaghetti" to play at the reception. You brought back memories. Thanks Zootman. Cosmo

Hey. Thanks, this made me chuckle. Pretty impressive resume on your profile. I laughed outright at the In My Other Life statement. Mexico eh? Always wanted to go there, partly for the surf but also the culture. Been to South America though which was pretty cool. Anyway, thanks for the listen etc. Cheers Zoot.

Do you guys ever sleep?! Truth be told, I actually started out with old school surf music in mind. But as usual, between idea and execution something happened. Thanks as always, Chris.

What a beautiful voice you have - such a nice tone - a mystifying thing/that soul of yours like a river lost to the sea
a little bit like me ..Gorgeous lyrics and sentiment for your daughter - the guitar has classic acoustic warmth - LOVE THIS

Hi Zootman, I enjoyed the listen very much! Well put together! Nicely done. It's got a bit of everything in there and it pulls the rhythm along just fine.
Zootman
Zootman replied 24th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Hi there, yeah that was the intention I guess, just a groove/jam track with hopefully enough variation to hold the interest. Micky and Jynx parts really helped it along. Cheers Zoot.

Love that guitar, lots of afro and other influences swirling around here. Reminds me of The Heliocentrics.

Zootman replied 24th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
I checked it out the heliocentrics (great name) and they were pretty interesting thanks. Fela Kuti is a pretty cool afro/jazz reference u wanna check him out. Cheers Zoot.

Man this was a fun listen. What inspires the stuff you create? Its interesting to me how so many talented people have their unique ways to approach music.

Zootman replied 24th Feb 2026 - 2 months ago
Glad you thought it was fun. Check out the link to the Nina Simone song I put in a reply to kingmt77. That was partly the inspiration. Other than that, you know how it works... It could be one or two notes on a guitar, a sound, a feeling, a rhythm..... Cheers bro.

Thanks. I thought it was kinda groovy. Jam track really but tried to give it some sort of trajectory. Jynx and and Micky parts added a lot. Cheers Chris.

Yikes Chris!!! Nina tho!

Zootman replied 20th Feb 2026 - 3 months ago
That track probably isn't what most people would associate Nina with.... But man the percussion and the feeling behind it is outrageous. And live too!

Chris! The percussive entrance is Wow! That sinister ep with the synth is scandalous. Infectious groove on deck. Guitar solo is quite pertinent. Yep I wouldnt expect anything less from The Zoot and the renowned Star Travels team. Congrats on a great organic collaboration!

Hi there, thanks so much mate. Hopefully you didn't find my attempt at some quasi jazz Rhodes too amusing lol. For someone who struggles to play in time, I seem to like rhythm. This was partially inspired by this Nina Simone track:

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=5GsCHQkulr4&;desc_update=1

Apparently written by Tina Turners sister about Ike.

All the best

nice track Chris, Manuela told me about this one a few weeks ago she said a little promotion on LM all helps, i cant believe i missed it, its a week old, i'm not here as often tbf, this is built round your initial work so you can also stand up and take the plaudits too mate, i told her there was two with her vox up last week fanisatt and i can't remember the other, she was happy, and having that professional polish from her team is the cherry on top for us amateurs as you know I've also worked with her a few times, this is a great piece to be proud of mate, vocals are stunning, your idea brought to life beautifully, take a bow

Thanks Bonez. I don't know the detail but I believe she had a bad experience with someone spreading lies or generally being a wanker. Happens sometimes, there's a few about, but thankfully not too many. Cheers man, Chris
