Glad you enjoyed it. I recently spent a month down on one of NZ's subantarctic islands which was a real privilege but I think the isolation and drama of that landscape and human history got to me and came out subconsciously with this one.

wow Chris what a beautiful track, its suspenseful, threatening almost like something is lurking in the background that makes your heart jump, very cinematic really good work mate, the sound quality is fantastic, great track

Hi there, gosh it's nice to get a comment out of the blue like this on an old track, thanks. I remember distinctly recording it as it was late night/early morning, both front doors were wide open and the full moon was shining in. There wasn't much forethought but yes, I was pleased with the vibe, and I still like the track myself so that's good! Cheers mate.

what a journey, i dance hula hula with my tuba. there is some serious warrior-desert-santa-island vibes on guitar. really nice 3d soundscape. this is really something to listen on headphones with a preamp. those detail and compression you play that game hard zootman, congrats on that. i will take my notebook and learn something. greetings from a banana

Hey Chris, I'm getting to this one kinda late but well done sir! Genuinely, I think your tracks are some of the best produced on this site. That's no dishonour to anyone else of course. But every instrument voice is so pristine and well balanced, and there are so many transients moving through the stereo space that it kept my ears perked the whole time. Respect.

Hi Cam, really appreciate your comments thanks. I played the lead guitar with my fingernail, no pick. I was surprised how much it changed the tone. Gave it this sharp attack then a soft finish with some harmonics in places. Anyway, that's by the by. Cheers man, Chris.

Cheers bro, glad you enjoyed. keys were addictive keys x 2 (rhodes obviously, one with a phaser), bass was free organ az3 straight preset, rest was guitars. not often i get called a smooth operator lol.

yes thanks. I have used it before on another track. it is a free vst organ az3 by Rumpelrausch. It's a pretty decent plug in for the cost of zilch I reckon.

Zootman. This was a rich listen for me. You took me straight to Johannesburg. The sustain on your guitar is pure fire. The sax is quite potent. Great balance for all the instruments. A Well put together class track!.

I travelled a bit in South Africa in the late 90's, Joburg was a bad old town even back then. But fascinating place for someone like me who's interested in ecology but also music. Appreciate your listening and comments man, I really do.
