The percussion and the guitars on this are brilliant! Your vox always impress me. I'm not sure if this is the right genre, but nonetheless a very great track.

Thanks a lot. Yeah I really didn't know what to put for genre... perhaps I'll charge it to something else. Cheers for the listen.

Thank you Danke, you know I was happy with this but then so few people were downloading it I started to think it was no good or just too weird or intense. But you liking it enough to want to listen again restores my confidence in myself. I feel like there might be another version of it wanting to come out but we'll see. Muchos gracias.

Love it - sounds really good now too

For sure a dub version of big nod to Dylan and Cohen but nothing bad about that

Indeed. As lyrical references I should probably add talking heads the great curve and Tom waits the earth died screaming.

I thought these lyrics sounded vaguely familiar, then I read the Dylan attribution and it all made sense. But this was a really, really cool way to re-contextualize lyrics from a bygone age. With the guitar at 1:18 and 3:38 still paying tribute to their origins. Not to mention your delivery which had a similarly old-school power to it. As usual your synth and electronic effects were on-point and mixed beautifully. So this song gave me a real sense of the old and the new. Hope this doesn't all sound too w*nky or abstract lol.

Great stuff man.

Hi Cam, nah I'm very happy it prompted you to think about such things, and that you took the time and effort to communicate it. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I wrote most of the lyrics for the verses, then I figured Dylan's lyrics kind of fit the context and meaning of my own. I've always loved the words of that Dylan song, and play/sing it on the acoustic guitar. I guess you try to find meaning in Dylan's lyrics at your own peril, but to me, that song is all about the pagan Goddess or Earth Mother. So I ended up re-contexturalising Dylans words as you artfully say. Cheers, Chris

striding thru an apocalypse.
spreading goodness among the dread.
the rocks are hard and deep beneath the sea.
and all the sailors dreamers.
man, this is wonderful craft indeed!

Cheers man, I was probably most happy with the lyrics above anything else to be honest. Though as well as stealing some of Mr Zimmerman's, there's definitely a nod to Leonard Cohen in there too (with the downing men line) and of course Soundgarden and Black Hole Sun! What can I say, I'm a magpie.

Ahh, Classic dub effects with a really cool synth sensibility. You do know Sly and Robbie are huge influences for me. 3:31 is a nice fin! and then it ends so sweetly, great job mate!

Sweet man, yeah I'm a Dinosaur I love the spaciousness of dub. I blame too much of the green stuff back in the day. And I hope your good wife is ok. All the best bro.

Hey Maj, thanks a lot. Had a heap of trouble with mixing and mastering this. I really need to learn to up my game but when it comes down to it I like the creating more than the producing. And time is always short :( Slightly confused though, just how many accounts do you have now?!

Cheers Paul, I like to keep trying to improve my skills at writing songs, as opposed to just finding a groove and riffing on it. They are two different things in my book.

Hey Chris! Wayne is not wrong, maybe lower the guitar volume a little "hair" on the 2 parts so that we can hear your voice better, in any case great composition my friend!

I liked the track but honestly I felt the guitars at 1:10(and later on) were a bit loud in the mix, they overpower the vocals. I think the idea is great. The dynamics are real good and when the guitars hit they are impactful. Reminds me of Get Down Moses by Strummer and the Mescaleros.

Hey Wayne, thanks man, have reduced those guitars a bit. Far out just listened to the Strummer track you reference, what a great song. Loved the lyrics especially. Cheers Chris

Ahh, very meditative approach to the track, peaceful, tranquil. The drips are nice. You have a good grasp on making an audible place to go and visit in my mind.

I like these kind of tracks, water ones are nice. I have an hour long cd of ocean waves on a beach that would put me to sleep in no time.

Well done again!

Hey Chris - Im floating in cave somewhere and thinking I shouldnt really have eaten those mushrooms but it's going to be alright because my friend Chris told me I can just play his tracks on repeat. Warm, wet, gentle and reassuring.

Classic, maybe one day! You ever pop over this side of the ditch look me up. Goes without saying I love your music. When I hear your creative genius and others on here I sometimes think man, my music sounds so pedestrian. But it is inspirational too. don't work too hard man. chris

Hey Zootman, really like this. The stereo pan on the water drips give it real depth, and the meditative synth layers sound really nice. I love ambiance, the way it drifts and takes you on on a journey is such good ear candy. Really great job, faved for sure my friend :)

Man Zootman,

I've been trying to put together a "Ambient"
track for forever. The Feeling you get from this
track is hard to put into words.

That was the fastest 3:39 ever. I could have listened
to this track on loop all night.
I don't know where you have to go inside your head to get
this but, keep doing it.

For me it's incredibly satisfying to listen to.

Great Track. Faved..

PEACE...

Too much Jynx, thanks a lot. I don't generally start anything with a specific idea in mind but this one I had been thinking about an Eno/Bryne track called Mountain of Needles off the bush of ghosts album. Didn't turn out anything like it but it was kind of the inspiration. Really appreciate your support and feedback man, much appreciated.
