Play 2 now...

Took me a second to recognize this tune, but once that one main bit started playing I remembered it. Don't they use it for some news show or some similar program on PBS?
I dig the grittier nature of your spin on it. Makes it seem dancier (though ya might wanna tweek the piano bits a little because they sound somewhat midi-ish, if ya get what I'm saying). This is a pretty solid arrangement mate. Keep on rawkin 'em out there. Lates!

Thanks again for listening Donnie. I think you're right about the "midi" sounding keys. This is one of the problems inherent with my being a midi guitar player - I can never approach the instrument like a true pianist would. Maybe I'll see if there are any Jazz keys players on this site who are willing to collab. Thanks again - jfw.

nice whistling sounds. i enjoyed it a lot because ambient is one of the most creative genres. it has much much commercial value to it. maybe you should try and get this track out to more than just the looperman community. this is good!

Voted for this track. I've always had a secret infatuation with acoustic guitar even though I don't play it and are an robot music player. Great track, really warm, sweet tones, excellent melodies and no "out of fret" issues :) Great work. Hope you win the comp!

This is a nice piece jfw. Very pleasant and easy on the ears. I've been meaning to ask you btw are you a big King Crimson fan? Your logo kind of says it all I guess but maybe you just like the art? I can't quite put my finger on it but I feel I've heard this style of music before somewhere...just can't place it. Interesting.

jfw replied Unknown
Thanks for listening again Koble. I am both a fan of the band and the artwork. Cheers.

Great job! This brought to my mind the mystery and awe of being with Leif Ericsson; feeling the waves beneath the boat, sailing through fog and mist, and then having the sun break through and seeing the shores of a new world on the horizon. You've stepped up to a new land of achievement yourself here and it's a wonderful discovery. -Ken

Thanks for reviewing Ken, I think the notion of Leif's long boat aproaching the shore of what would one day become America fits nicely with this. Cheers, Jamie.

Cool!..I love the timing,a very sinuous twisting rhythm which puts out a shimmery spacey vibe..the guitar tone is great! almost an ebow with a half reversed phaser on....very entertaining and different..cheers planet :)

I must say that you have such a distinctive sound to your music. I think the guitar parts were pretty cool as well as all the synth sounds. Nice smooth changes throughout the song. Very nice composition.

jfw guy, this is the next level man, for me, it's just not the ever expanding palette here you have at your disposal, it's your tonal and textural explorations here that are the most enjoyable and the solo is nice and melodic, just the way I like them, ala Sco, Stern..if I may say so, I think this is your best yet :)..listening to the solo again right now bro..a teaser perhaps lol!..thanks for sharing this..

Very cool introduction, and I was quite impressed when the song really got going! I really like the bass line on this one, very groovy. This has a very improvised feel to it, very cool! Man some of these synth sounds you've created are really nice! That guitar solo is to die for! The tone is so good! This is what I think of when I think fusion. Very enjoyable track!

Who needs radio to hear good music any more? The best songs I've heard lately are on looperman.com and you are making some of the finest available. This one stands out especially. I completely enjoyed listening to it. Thank you for creating it. So fine!

I love this, is beautiful as always. The hat is a micron too loud in the beginning, but is fine once the rest of the music comes in. Wow what a cool space this creates. It's like a nice house, new and lovely things, and beautiful entities. So beautiful. This is my favorite piece of yours. Wow first thing I have listened to on this site in a couple days and what a treat it was!! Thank you for sharing - this is some uplifting, happy and chill spirits man! Cheers.

Good job not using loops or samples. I love the vibe and aura that this song and many of your other songs radiate. Deffinetly hard to explain. But it awesome to listen to. I really like this alot. Was pretty stoked when those keys popped in. Good job! !
