Guitars ! Guitars ! Guitars ! ... a blazin' on your tracks and this one is no exception. You got it as funky but I can hear just the slightest hint of country rock in there also. Whatever the style : this track has got it ! well put together and another classic.
Hello Daniel,
I added this tune in July, so that was quite awhile ago and thus you missed it back then. Anyways, I am happy that you got to hear it and you liked it as well.
I tried 3 different styles in this tune including slife guitar which I don't seem to hear on here out of 267,000+ members. Strange isn't it?
I'll stop by your page and see whats new with you.
Randy
Hi ya Bosslady,
Thanks for reviewing my Spanish type tune. Glad you enjoyed it tune. I'll give you a review back, and..... I don't recall listening to any of your songs before.
Later...
Randy
excellent track! a catchy tune, and mainstream friendly, so i think with a good vocalist, this could potentially be a hit. excellent production and even better guitar playing! keep putting out stuff like this and you will go far. good luck!
Hello there,
Thanks a lot for reviewing this punk tune. I am glad you enjoyed it as much as I had fun putting it together.
I'll get over to your page and give a listen to whats new with your music.
Thanks again,
Randy
Thanks for being my first reviewer. I don't expect to get that many reviews for a waltz. ha ha.
But it was fun to do as I have had several request for one for months. So I am off work this week and decided to fire up the Emmons steel.
Thanks again and glad you liked it!
Randy
Excellent tune and quality recording, pro tools, right? The guitars sound awesome. Did you play the fiddle as well? This is a lot of fun to listen to, a little Waylon Jennings type beat on the 2nd part.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my country tune. I see after I posted it, it disappeard off the front page within 1/2 hour with so many others posting too.
So I doubt that many even saw it come up.
Oh well, there is always the featured section.
No...I do own a fiddle, but this was a loop from a disk I bought...and the drums as well.
I practiced the fiddle when I was younger, but liked fretted instruments better. The only one I own now is a gold colored signed and numbered Charlie Daniels one...that is a keepsake as only 50 of that color were made.
I'll check out your tunes as well as the others here and leave you some comments.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hello JFW,
Thaks for reviewing my country tune. This is the type of music I really like. I have been practicing that style off and on for some time.
I'll check to see what all you have up and give a review back.
Bye for now,
Randy
This is killer, love the pedal steel, wish I could play it such a cool sounding instrument. Nice job, has a great country sound it. Keep this up, hope you have more time to make more.
Thanks for being my first reviewer of this new tune. The steel sound you hear is not a Lap steel. It is a full blowsn $3,000 Emmons pedal steel. You could never get those sounds I made, on a simple lap steel.
See my pic gallery for a picture of it if you have time.
Anyways, glad you like the songs...I know they are a little short...so that is why I put 2 of them together.
I will get over to listen to yor songs shorty and leave feedback.
Somehow a different kind of song - but its clearly a little masterpiece. Love the sound of the guitars - fits like a condom.
More tracks like these, hopefully with vocals..!
Thanks for reviewing the second tune I made with using loops and Pro Tools software which was a learn as you go experience.
Most of my tunes have a combo of loops and my playing abilities within them, as I can play 6 different instruments. I try and not copy any particular artist and therefore don't listen to a lot of music as most people probably do.
(I work a lot of hours)
My fav. music is country 'chicken pickin' style which I am putting out a couple tunes before the end of the year. Just love that Telecaster twang!
So I am glad you liked it...however my later tunes are much better.
I would recommend 'Heavy Metal Highway' if your into metal at all. That one is a fav. by everyone.
And no...sadly, I don't have a good voice so I don't sing myself. A few here have put words to my songs and some have done well and put them on their own web site, giving credit to me as the author. I will review some of your songs in another week as I am at work and doing 12 hour night shifts till then, including 12 hours on Christmas.
Hello there Majucarma,
I am sorry that I didn't reply to you much sooner as I usually do when I get a review. So perhaps I never got notified originally or I was just too busy as I was from Oct. - Dec.
Anyways, thanks for your review and I'll review some of your tunes as well.
So thanks again for your comments and I am glad you enjoyed this tune.
Randy
Ry Cooder? This song reminds me a lot of him and his style. Very nice job on this, I love all types of music, and you do great job with every genre you touch. Simply amazing!!!!
Thanks for your review of at least 5 of my tunes thus far. I appreciate all your comments and will answer each one a little later. I am working a lot of hours now and and don't have much time to review others tunes at this moment....but I will..so don't worry.
I will be making another modern country tune(s) with my Telecaster as soon as work slows down.
I guess if you read my profile and saw my Gallery, then you probably seen the guitars I use and my home studio setup.
Bye for now and I am glad you enjoyed my other tunes as well. I strive for quality in my playing and/or assembling of loops of instruments I don't play or own.
Amazing, I love the varity in the music you post, I love slide guitar, I have tried many times and I am terrible at it, tried all sorts of dvds and books and nothing good. This so amazing, just great, I don't even know what else to write. Great job!!!
Hi again....well it looks like your enjoying my variety of tunes. Slide guitar isn't all that hard actually. Just need to tune to an open tuning and practice sliding from chord to chord, then try single strings.
Before you know it, you'll feel more and more comfortable with sliding.
Since I play pedal steel as well, it was fairly easy for me, as I learned steel first which is a lot harder.
Hi there,
Glad you also enjoyed this western type tune. I am learning some 'Chicken Pickin' style, so maybe you'll enjoy that one too.
Thanks again,
Randy
This is so awesome, very creative kind of like a rock version of Chet Atkins when he plays two different songs on the guitar at the same time. This is very nice. Great job!!!
Hi there,
Thanks for reviewing this track and the other 3 you did. I am slow getting back to you and am sorry about that. I did save your notices and planned to answer before now. I was working a lot of overtime last fall and didn't even make any songs for 3 months.
So I am glad you likd this tune and thanks for your patience. I will give a listen to some of yours.
Randy
I also want to thank you for listening and reviewing this tune. As I am working a lot now..12 hour shifts with no days off temporarily...I have not made anything since the last Techo-Trance tune.
I didn't even have time to enter the last big contest as maybe some of my tunes might have won?
Anyways, if you have any tunes up, I will take a listen and give a review back to you.
Thanks again for your reply. Like the old Dorito's commercial, Don't worry, I'll make more!
Have to go...I am still working.
short but great stuff. the sound made me feel like i heard it before... great stuff. all your music is fantastic, and i love your rock songs. and your production is great by the way
I wanted to thank you for listening to several of my rock type tunes already. I certainly appreciate the comments, as they are welcome....along with amy critizm.
I am at work now and can't easily listen to any of your music until I get home. But rest assurd that I will and give feedback to each one sir.
The computers here at work are basic and some have only snall speakers, so they aren't good to listen thru.
So I am glad you enjoyed the songs. as you may or may not have found out, I also play country, blues and... rock mostly.
I mostly always use drum sets I buy off the Internet, as I am not a drummer. Or if the song is fairly simple, then I can record some with my Korg M-3
If you read my profile or looked at my photo galley, then you can see the various instruments I own and use as needed.
I use Pro-Tools for all my productions as I never started with a adifferent pgm.
Has a big learning curve, but the results I get myself are pleasing to my ears at least.
OK..take care.....Oh..say..one more thing,,if you are into heavy metal at all..and I am not really myself...take a listen to 'Heavy Metal Highway".
That seems to be the favorite of most here.
Thanks again..
Randy.
ok so this is the second song in a row by you that i listened to and absolutely loved. this stuff is fantastic! you are a great guitarist and artist. you now have a new huge fan! great job!
simply amazing! one of the best tracks i have heard on looperman yet! the strings in addition with the excellent guitars is fantastic. you can definately go somewhere with your music if you continue to put out stuff like this. fantastic job
Hi there Acidizer.....
I very much appreciate your listening and reviewing this tune. Must be it came up under the 'Featured box' as it has been out for a little while.
I haven't made much of any music at all since that Techo-Trance tune. I have been really busy at work on the night shift at 12 hours a night, and no days off! So...no new music. :-(
So no worries..I will start again in mid December. I think I'll run back to my country roots and produce a modern country instrumental with the use of my Emmond Pedal Steel...it is sitting in the corner feeling neglected.
Thanks again man, and I will listen to some of your tracks as well in a couple days...as I am at work now ...again.
Wow! What a production! I can see why it took a couple of months to put this one together. Totally impressed. Great tune, cool selection of country/cajun, what can I say?
Sorry that I am a little slow in getting back to you. I am working 12 hours a day, everyday for about a couple months now.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and giving this country/cajun tune a listen and review. I am glad you enjoyed it. Guess I should do more fo theis than the rock I do.
I will give one of your tunes a listen and give a review back in kind.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hey Randy, great song, I absolutely love it. I just joined Looperman this week and "jfw" reviewed one of my tracks called "Just Tonight" and recommended I check out this song. He said they were in a similar genre and he was right. My track has been called a "spaghetti western" style but you captured that feel way better than I did(IMHO).
I will be posting more material as soon as I'm allowed(next week)so feel free to listen in. I also appreciate that you play different styles of music as I too try to mix it up a bit. Like your music and keep recording!!
Thanks for listening to my western tune I did awhile back. I appreciate your kind comments and I am glad you enjoyed it.
I just listened to the song you mentioned called 'Just Tonight' and thought you did a very nice job on it. It is quite a bit different than mine, as mine builds up 3 times, and of course it is a little different style.
However, this does have that spanish flavor to it. One of my other tunes is kind of a real spanish style that was put together.
I have many nylon guitar loops on a CD that I bought. Even though I play fairly well myself, sometimes the loops sound cleaner and so I often use them, and put them together.
Okay, thanks again for the listen and review.
Randy
Thanks for the review. I appreciate your giving it a listen. I will now go and see what you have up as I hadn't listened to any of your songs before.....as I don't recognize your name. ;)
Hi Randall..,Love that electric 12 string, I got a 12 string acoustic track on my page, but nothing as gutsy as this.
This reminds me a little of the Byrds with ZZ top added then the Randall punchy rock treatment to make the whole thing very prominent and "in your face".
Once again superb playing and a masterful production. Great sound!!
Thanks for stopping by and listening to this 12 string track I put together. It has been up quite awhile, but new songs dissappear off the front page in a matter of minutes sometimes.
So thank goodness for the 'Featured' section as many of my songs see new life.. ;-)
The 12 string...which is a newer Fender Strat model as shown in my pics, is the one I used. I used to have a 1967~ version with the hockey stick end headpiece on it. Now that baby would be worth $5k today if I still had it. You know how early on, your trading this and that...
I may have already listened to your acoustic 12 string...if not, I will certainly listen to it and give a review back...or a different tune for sure.
When I put together that tune, it was just a mish mash of sounds I had in my head I wanted to hear. So that is why most of the sections are short.
Then I got crazy and rev'd it up towards the end.
So I plan on adding more 12 string in ....in the future. At the moment I am trying to work my 2 korg keyboards in to my music for the extra variety they can give me.
I am working 12 hour nights now without any time off for about 35 nights more....so no music is getting made at all. I have to sleep during the day best I can.
Yeh great work there man!! I had to log back in to review it and say LOVED THE INTRO reminded me of thriller. Great great great clean work. I was just talking today about how a lot of music these days (esp my own) seems like it is ever-increasingly saturated with white noise, and maybe i'm just losing my hearing. But this track is so clean and is the cure. Great work man!!
Don't believe I have seen your name before in connection to reviewing any of my past tunes....so welcome and thanks for listening and reviewing this song.
It is nice to know what people think...good or bad....so a person can improve themselves.
Yes, the intro uses nearly the same chords as Thriller does, but in a different key. The last chord is a lot different tho as I needed one to hold for a moment till the other part of the song started. (minor 7th)
As far as clean sounding, I usually go in direct and use effects from 'Line 6' products or some of my own hardware. Pretty much need humbucker pickups too for guitar.
There are effects that will take out noise. Lots of times you can use a parametric EQ to zero in on a frequency to cut it out...or at least dampen it so it isn't easily heard.
So I hope this info helps some.
I'll review some of your tunes shortly. At work now.
Hey this is the first techno track i have listened to in a while....that beat at around 1:05 is da bomb!!! Awsome man! That would make a dancefloor bounce, and when it speeds up...Wow!!!! What a tune dude!!!! Keep em like this an i'll be ur greatest fan!!! Thsi is quality!!!!
I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my lastest tune. I thank you for your kind comments. I am not sure I will make anymore of these as it isn't my normal genre of music that I enjoy.
I usually do country, rock or blues mostly. My young step-daughter talked me into it. ;-)
I will review your tunes in a day or so.
