nice track. the beginning reminded me of an orchestral maneuvers in the dark song. you have so many parts to this track, not just techno which is good. anyway, keep up the great work, CF

..my expectations of any of your tracks are never dissapointing..and this one delivers!!!! yeeh--haaa!!
I have to confess to jamming along to this superb country tune and drooling with envy once again at yr pic of those telecasters. keep on producing/composing and playing quality tracks like these for us Looper-listeners..top notch once again Randy..thanks for uploading...

Hi ya DanielGtrman,

Good to hear from you again. Glad you enjoyed playing along with this tune. Just 3 basic chords and you can have a good time. lol
I appreciate your comments very much and I liked your review, since it makes me feel good that I can spur others on, and also to have fun with a song I do.

As for my guitars, I have several tele's if you'll look at my profile gallery. I have 9 guitars total and some other instruments in the pictures...including my 1971 Emmons pedal steel that I use.... in a different picture.

The 2 Buck Owens special edition guitars are not used...just for investment purposes. Worth about $2,000 each now. (I got them from Canada).

I love the Telecaster sound and that is why I own several, as not all have the same sound with differing pickups, de-tuners and palm pedal.

Thanks again...I'll do another country tune soon.

The pedal steel sounds great and I'm glad to hear someone else play some mandolin here. This has a cool southern rock feel to it. The mix is great, as usual. Really enjoyed listening to this track, such high quality.

So are you working less now? I remember you saying before you were working countless hours each week. Hope you have more time to put into tracks like this!! Thanks Randy for putting this up and sharing your work, always a pleasure!

Hi there Wayne,

Thanks so much for the review and am glad you enjoyed the country song. The mandolin part wasn't speedy or anything, but filled in nicely.

As far as work...I am retired now finally. So I have more time to do whatever I want to. No more waking up at 4am.
So more time for music now and other things in life I have been missing out on.

Thanks again for your comments. I'll have another tune up in a month or less. (Rock or Blues)

Hi ya Fila,
Great to hear from you. I am glad you enjoyed the country tune I put together. Took me about a month. I am too much of a perfectionist I guess just to put out a quickie. So that is partly the reason my songs aren't usually done in a faster time frame.

I want quality as best I can do as I know my songs will be floating around the Internet long after I am gone. :-)

I will check and see what you have up and give a review back as well...and to the others here that reviewed this song.

Take care now,
Randy (Retired power plant operator)

Hi Randy - Master of Rockguitar !
It is kind of the genious "classic" Hard Rock style of the early 80´s - you did a a genious guitar tuning and the background effects are perfect with it.

Like it very much !

Hope to hear more from you in this genre - excellent!

best regards,
Franky

Hello Franky,
Ha Ha, can't say as I am a master of the rock guitar myself as there are many out there that can run rings around me. But, I enjoy doing the best I can in the amount of time I have.
I appreciate your comments and am happy that you enjoyed the song.

I see you don't have any tracks up yourself so I can't hear any of your music. I would say jump in and have some fun making music. There are free programs out there that will at least get you started.
Thanks again for your comments,

Good to hear from you as well. I really missed not doing any music since last April. But work tired me out with over 1150 hrs. of overtime last year. I am working 12 hour shifts now as before they were 8 hour shifts. I won't be working much longer anyways. (But I did keep practice up)

I appreciate your comments very much along with all the other reviewers here.

Yeah, I've been waiting for a tune!Heavy and brutal. The only thing is that I think the guitars are slightly too loud or the drums slightly too low.
But, I think what you do is totally awesome. Sir, you shown us how it's done.

/pmk

A fav of course.
Randall822
Randall822 replied Unknown
Hi there Kikajon!
Thanks for being my first reviewer. I appreciate your comments very much. As far as the drums, they are the same volume throughout, except possibly at the very begining when the solo starts.
So I would say that the guitars volume is the difference your hearing.
Working with different guitars I have and the tone settings I wanted for the parts made them seem louder as well.

Thus sometimes I felt that a guitar part needed to shine thru and not get lost in the mix and so I did make some a little louder.
So thanks for mentioning that. I'll try and do better mixing on the next one so they will blend in more, but still stand iout.

Thanks again,
Randy

Hello there Kikajon,

Thanks for stopping by and listening/reviewing this tune of mine. I appreciate the kind words. Sorry that I haven't made any songs since April, but I just had too much overtime at work....usually working a month straight before having any days off.

Now things have slowed way down and I am also going to retire at the end of this year. So I'll have more time for music.

I am putting together a classic type rock tune that you'll probably enjoy. Won't be ready till next month probably.

Hello ChrissG,

Thanks for reviewing the Spanish version of 'Rock of Tallin'.
Glad you enjoyed it. I don't speak any Spanish myself. A fellow liked the song and wanted to put the lyrics in...so I said, go ahead, and this is what he came up with.

I think it's great that you are able to mix "live" and loops so well - when's the album due out? Love the country stuff. I have been thinking about doing some of this myself, if I ever learn to play something. I am considering buying a lap steel and giving it a shot soon - thanks for the inspiration!
Randall822

Hello there VinceSinger,

Thanks for your nice comments.Ha Ha...no album....I just do this for fun. If someone wants to put words to my music...okay by me. Just would be nice if they gave some credit is all.

A lap steel won't give you all the sounds I am getting off my Pedal Steel.
A Pedal Steel gives the sound a moving feeling and is different than a lap steel. However, if a person is very skillful, they can mimic one pretty close.

I see you have no songs up so I can't review anything of yours...so thanbks again. I believe I have 27 songs up now...but most are towards the rock vein.

on Country Waltz with Pedal Steel by Randall822
Excellent job! A good-sounding country track - not too slow, easy-listening C&W. Folks like myself who like steel guitar as a lead instrument will appriciate your efforts. Layering "live" over the rythym produced a track that ranks right up there with a lot of studio recordings I've heard.
Randall822
Randall822 replied Unknown
Hello again Vince,

Thanks for the compliments on this tune as well. In the band I use to play in back in the late 60's-80, we did a variety of music for different audiences...and we usually had to to play several waltzes during the evening.
So it was fun to do here, and to also add in loops of instruments I don't own or play myself...like the fiddle in particular.

I am working on a classic type rock tune now and will do another country one after that.

Take care, and thanks again for listening and reviewing my tunes.

Wow! This track fits perfect with the melody I've been humming for lyrics I wrote!!! Have you collaborated with anyone yet?
Randall822
Randall822 replied Unknown
Hi again Geneva,

Thanks for listening to this waltz tune as well. I didn't think that mnay people would like it....being so slow. I don't play my pedal steel as often as I should anymore...or even the 5-String Banjo that took me months to learn. It sits in the closet. ;-)

If you want to try adding lyrics or vocals to it, let me know and I can make it happen, as far as spreading the tune out and making some parts quieter for the voice.

Anyways, I am glad you also enjoyed it. I liked doing the Synth part. I believe I did it one in
