This seems to be a unique combination of styles, some parts being techno, and others sounding more trance. I really like the bass lines though, they are very fun in almost a video game sort of way. The chord progressions sound really nice, and they give the whole song a good vibe. Very nice work!
I want to thank you for reviewing my latest tune and your comments. Your message happen to come in while I was online. I guess when I was putting it together, I was trying for a Trance tune, but the drums I chose was called 'Techo hit'. So I suppose that is where some confusion comes in. Anyways, I think myself it came across pretty well and was my 1st of this type.
I appreciate your comments and will get to review some more of yours and others tunes as I have time.
Next week, I will be working for 45 days of 12 hours each, without a day off.

I appreciate your comments and listening to my latest song. I asked several people before I posted this tune and most agreed that it was more Techno.....so based on that, that is why I named it that way.
No matter to me so much as this type of music sounds nearly all the same to me. Probably my first and last of this type. :-) But I wanted to give it a shot.
I do appreciate you comments very much.
On another matter, On Facebook, I tried adding you as a 'friend' and no response yet as I believe you were recommended by someone else.
Thanks for being my first reviewer for this tune.
I appreciate your comments very much. I will review one of your tunes tomorrow after I get up.
This is the first time I have tried this genre and it was a bit work.
Ltr,
Randy
The panning of the guitars... bit of a lost art form. This track moves thru a few different grooves. The boppy middle & ending section reminded me of the band 311 except you play guitar better than they do. LOL!
Thanks for reviewing this tune and the great comments you left. I apparently didn't get an e-mail notice about your review or else I would have replied long ago. Sorry about being so late. I'll review one of your tunes as well in kind.
There are a lot of tricks a person can use. It is a matter of just experimenting.
I am in the process of doing a 'Crunch' type tune now and that has the guitars panning and a phasing sound as well.
Hi there Pat,
Thanks for the comment and welcome to Looperman. I'd review a song of yours, but you haven't posted any, so let me know when you do and I'll be glad to review it.
I do a variety of music including Country, Rock, Metal. and Blues. Pretty much whatever I feel like doing.
guitar parts are PERFECT!
Great tones, but more importantly great feel.
I suggest you get a bigger sounding kick drum for the wah-slide section. very Jeff Beck-ish sound. NOT easy to pull off. YOU are great!
Hello D2d,
Seems like I just left you a couple reviews. ha!
Anyways, I appreciate your comments about the funk mix. I can usually get any guitar sound I want thru the help of software VST's.
I can agree with you on the kick drum not standing out more. Sometimes you really just need to stand back and listen to the song the next day, and pretend it is the first time you've heard it, and make adjustments.
Thanks a lot for your comments, they are always very helpful.
Later,
Randy
Thanks for taking the time to listen and review this tune. This as mentioned was an all loop made track. I love working with loops as they are usually already polished and measured to the proper time.
I have a couple other rock songs near this type, just can't think of their names right now and I don't want to steer away from this page while I am writing this.
Thanks again for your review and am glad you enjoyed it. I left you a review as well.
Randy
This is absolutely soaked in the style of Ennio Morricone ( "The good the bad and the ugly", "For a few dollars more" etc ) Maybe you should have called it SPAGHETTI WESTERN. Convincingly produced in that style. I like this and I like the hank marvin guitar tone
Thanks for the nice review. I love this guitar sound myself as I am a country player by heart, but you wouldn't know it from the rock tunes I've put up mostly.
I did this tune partly for another fellow as he was making a tune as a joke song for his friend, and thus he used the beginning of the song as a lead in.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the listen and review.
Randy
Hi Chris,
Just happened to be awake and saw your message come in. Thanks for the review. Thank goodness for the Featured box. Otherwise, most of my stuff wouldn't get played.. lol
Randy
I'm new here, I've listened to some of your creations...err..uhmm..how I can I put this lightly ...Holy Jesus F-----g Christ !!!!! Outstanding, a departure from your other stuff, which is .... err.. how can I put this.. ( please see earlier "Holy... etc ).
I started playing in the late 60's but gave it up after about 10 years or so, snce then once in a while popping my head up every now and then ( once with bagpipes - don't judge now my lad - we all had our dark moments ). Anyhow, Thank you for showing some of these young punks what us older cats can do. Now, if you will excuse me, it's time for me to forget something really important and...Oh look !!! nap time.
Hi there BCway,
Don't recall a review from you before, so I am glad I triggered something so that you'd write me one here.
I am thrilled you enjoyed this tune. I did it in 3 parts only because I was working on these 3 for a time and decided to bunch them together is all. I try and get a tune out once a month.
I see your up there in years as well and that is good that your still making music in one form or another. (Real or loop based)
The bagpipes you mention, I actually love the sound of them and thought they really sounded so unique. However, my interest in them never got me to buy any. Don't even know what they would cost?
I have a setting on my Korg M-3 for bagpipes, but it isn't that good actually. So maybe one of these days I'll put together a Celtic/Irish/Scottish type of tune and send it out. I already have some ideas that you'd probably like to hear. Myself, I guess I am English with a bit of everything else thrown in...so my grandmother says...like a stray dog.
So again, thanks a lot for your review and am also happy to hear that you have checked out some of my earlier tunes.
Randy
Say, I appreciate you being one of the few...so far...that have left a review for me and I'll do the same for you after this.
Am glad you enjoyed this tune. I never made a Funk tune before....Blues, yes.
So I wanted to give it a try. The guitar tones are varied depending on what amp simulator I am using. I just got into Line6 VST's as they have many amps and cabs to choose from, plus all the known effects as well. Mix and match in any combo. Cost $99 tho for the non-professional package.
I have a lot of amp simulators already that came with my Pro Tools as well.....so I am just trying the Line6 stuff out.
Thanks for your review and for your great comments on the solo as well.
A Trance tune is next!
Hey Randy you've been cutting the stallions out from the herd again!..I like the panning on the percussive instruments with the bass centre lining...this works really well! great mix....the guitar sound is floating superbly on top of these grooves..I'll say it again..a fantastic spread!...your mixes have taken a quantum leaps since you joined Looperman..they were always good to start with but now their top class....You could cut it as a producer irrespective of you instrumental skills...fantastic playing by the way!..cheers Dave :)
I was hoping you'd take time to catch my latest funk tune. I don't really want to poll individual players whenever I produce a new tune. Makes it sound like I really need reviews. ;-)
But anyway, you found this one and I am glad you enjoyed it. The bass part, and actually all parts are necessary for a good Funk tune I guess from some others that I have heard. This was my first one and I wanted to make it stand out.
So I figured a good solid bass line with a clear tone would be nice. Fender has such a nice sound anyways, and so that is what you hear. (Precision Bass).
Then panning the other instruments and little guitar riffs here and there make it a 'busy' tune, but seems to work well together.
I have heard of James Brown's fast rhythm guitar, but I didn't want that type of sound for this one. (song #2)
Looperman has indeed helped me grow as a musician since my first country tune. Listening to other's tunes on here and getting feedback is important for growth. And.....reading several different books on Mastering and Audio in general has helped a lot to understand about the mechanics of audio.
I suppose I could go into Mastering others tunes, but I barely have time to get mine done because of working so much overtime.
Bye for now and thanks again for your nice review.
Randy
Talk about getting your 80's fix in at once. true multitasking by listening to 2 80's hits at once. The highlight is definitely the superb guitar solo!
Don't believe I had seen your name before reviewing any of my previous tunes. I appreciate your comments very much and am glad you enjoyed this tune.
Putting a tune like this together takes a lot of time as you can imagine. It is a matter of making both tunes full out and then fitting them together so they will fit properly.
Sorry for the very late reply. I have been working all my days off lately, and am slow in getting reviews back to people for this tune as there was quite a few.
I will listen to one of your tunes later today and give a review back as I am off and have more time. I appreciate your comments very much!
Randy
Sir Randall, i like this rock tune very much. i just want to chip in one small thing i heard; just at the start, when the synths come in, they overshadow the violin synth just a lil bit. i think some compression on that one would solve the problem!!
nice work.!!!
Glad to have to stop by and listen to my latest tune. I hadn't seen your name before in any of my reviews, so that is cool to have a new person listen to my songs. I will review one of yours in a few minutes and give feedback in return.
As for the synths taking over the sound of the violins a little, that is quite possible and I appreciate your advice. However, I also wish to say if your listening to the song with tiny computer speakers, then it will sound a lot different than say, regular near field monitors speakers about 5 inches on up.
My Dell Laptop seems to compress the sound itself and it doesn't sound as good as it does with with bigger speakers. I have a subwoofer built into my laptop, but I doubt that it is much bigger than 1 inch in diameter from what I can see of it from the outside. :-)
Anyways, again, thanks for your review.
Randy in NY
Thanks for stopping by. I don't believe I've seen your name before in any other of my other reviews. So if this is a first for listening to my tunes, then your very welcome to listen to whatever you like. :-)
Rock, Blues, Country is what I am into as I also play several different instruments.
I appreciate your comments on this tune and invite you to take a listen to 'Heavy Metal Highway' if you like heavy metal. I am NOT trying to advertize my tunes, but it's had over 500 plays, and some say it is the best they have ever heard for heavy metal. So you be the judge I guess. I am not really in to metal much either. I did it for a friend in Serbia.
I also play slide guitar and will feature a little in my next tune which will basically a Funk type tune. A 1st for me and maybe my last! :)
I will take a listen to your tunes as well and give you feedback. Can't this minute as I am at work.
Later then ....and thanks again for the nice review.
Randy
Get out of here, you are amazing you understand how to make us happy through music, I was a punker, my nickname in 1976 was Peter Punk when stuff was just happening, first guy on my block with a Ramones albu and a Sex Pistol 45 import from England, so when I saw Randall and Punk in the featured track window I though no way, yes way you are some great musical mind that will never seize to amaze me.
Hi BigPete,
I see you are you are following me around. I did this tune back in December. I wanted to try something different, so I came up with this. I used some loops as the header says, but it was still fun arranging it.
I think I might have told you I am working on a Blues/funk tune now that should be done by the end of the month. No wine before its time as they say.
Glad you enjoyed it and thank goodness for the featured section as my songs get more chances to be heard.

Wow, such great energy!!! love the beginning how its sets the mood for the guitar to come in. This would be nice driving on an open road somewhere in the western states just letting loose. Great work on this, its perfect in every way!!! *fav*

Thanks a lot for listening/reviewing my latest track. As I mentioned in the description, I left the tune fairly empty so others could add vocals or some more lead. So go to it if your inclined to add to it.
I am a little behind in giving reviews back as far as listening to others tunes because of work....but be sure that I will review one of your tunes soon and give a review back to you.
Been working 12 hours a day lately and don't have much energy left to do much when I get home. (I am at work now in fact, but can't listen to tunes here easily).
Such an excellent track.I've been carried by the song from the beginning. You r guitar playing is really amazing witha lot of heart and feeling.Love it!I'm gonna check your other tracks right now!
I appreciate you coming by and checking out my tunes. I don't recall seeing your name before so welcome!

I am glad you enjoyed this blues medly. The other one I did was an acoustic one with very slow slide guitar.

I will check out your songs and give a review back in a day or so.
Thanks again,

Well, I'm kinda new to looperman and I keep finding GREAT tracks, and this is at the top my friend. Very cool changes that have an awesome dynamic to it, that really keep you glued into it. It is a very good instrumental. It would be cool to hear a version of this with a vocal. Tracks like this are what keeps me listening to every ones tracks looking for buried treasure.
Thanks for stopping by my corner of Looperman.
I appreciate your comments very much and hope you'll check out all my tunes eventually...as I try and put a quality mix together, and sounds in all my tunes.
Vocals are welcome to any of my tracks.
I have 2 Korg keyboards that have awesome sounds in them and I am trying to put more of synth sounds into my music these days.
My last song.."Rock This Way" was one of the first.
So again, I appreciate your review and yes...there are quite a few very good musicians on here.. As I see now....there are 182,385 members. Not all have songs loaded up, but there are 21,090 tracks available for your listening pleasure. ;)))
Great job...the tone on the Guitars is awesome. I like the groove very Bo Diddley great production. It is very hard to record distorted guitar well and you nailed it. Great song ....great recording!
Glad to have you check out my tunes. I appreciate the review as well and will checkout your songs and give a review back. At the moment, I am about 2 weeks behind because of work. It is 2:45am now even.
The guitar distortion can be achieved via several ways. To get the type of amp sound you want, Line6 company has RTAS or VST software that you can get with hundreds of combinations of ampfliers and speaker cabs and all kinds of effects combined in any order. Cost about $99.
Much better sound than you can get at home with your own amp....plus you don't keep the neighbors awake. :-)
Also, EQ and Compression will do a lot for distortion sounds.
Great job...The production is sweet. It is like a subtle "Good the Bad and the Ugly meets Dick Dale" I really think it feels like surf to me. I love the groove. I could sure listen to more of that! Great job!
I love this big rock sound. I would never have thought you could mix these two tunes but you did and did it well. One of the best tunes I have heard on Looperman. Awesome!
Hello sir,
Thank you so much for listening and reviewing my Van Halen mix tune. I don't believe I have seen your name review any of my previous tunes, so your certainly welcome.
Shortly, I will review one of your tunes and give you feedback as well.
Mixing 2 tunes togather isn't easy and I have heard it done only a few times before. But now and then you hear a song and say to yourself, "now that sounds like another song I am familiar with", and thus the idea is born of trying to mix 2 songs together. That's what happened here.
this kicks ass, love the drive, the chord progression, arrangments, great bridge with the reverse effect I think on the guitar, this is a it entertaining and very musical at the same time, thanks for kicking my ass in the rock catergorie, lol. I deserve it.
Hey man, I appreciate your comments very much. As you have listened to my past earlier music, you can see how I am learning and progressing as time goes on.
It certainly is fun and enjoyable to listen to the final outcome after many takes and experimenting of what will fit and what won't.
I am geting up there in years and am relying on looping more as my fingers slow down. Many tunes I make, are originally slower as I create the 'tricky parts', and then I decide upon a tempo for the final output.
Thanks again for your review and I appreciate your comments always.

Mixing 2 tunes togather isn't easy and I have heard it done only a few times before. But now and then you hear a song and say to yourself, "now that sounds like another song I am familiar with", and thus the idea is born of trying to mix 2 songs together. That's what happened here.
Thanks again,
Randy

Hey man, I appreciate your comments very much. As you have listened to my past earlier music, you can see how I am learning and progressing as time goes on.
It certainly is fun and enjoyable to listen to the final outcome after many takes and experimenting of what will fit and what won't.
I am geting up there in years and am relying on looping more as my fingers slow down. Many tunes I make, are originally slower as I create the 'tricky parts', and then I decide upon a tempo for the final output.
Thanks again for your review and I appreciate your comments always.
Randy
