Hello there DonJuan11,

Thanks for your reviewing this song and your nice comments. As far as I know, this is the first time 'Mizicizmee4ever' has sang country.

She is from a city near me, but I have never met her. If you go to her site on here, you can probably ask for more details.

Thanks again,
Randy

Hi there Allen,

I appreciate your listening to this short song and comments. As you probably already know, this was a 2 part song. 1st part of 'Country Tyme' I put up earlier.
When I started out, I couldn't think of what else to put in it so I faded it out and faded in the 2nd part which worked well overall I thought.

'Muzicizmee4ever' liked the 1st part, so she decided to put lyrics and vocals to it.
Yes, she did an excellent job. So I am looking forrward to trying some other music with her in the near future.

Thanks again Allen,
Randy

Well My Give A Damn's Busted! I hear JoDee Messina all in the first one, I don't usually listen to country but when I do LOVE the fun country, the good dancin kind. This songs got me a-dancin. Great job! Made me wanna give singing country a try!

Hello there MuzicIzMee4Ever,

Thanks for reviewing my track and your nice comments. I often wonder how a person that almost never listens to country ends up listening to a country song of mine. Seems like a person would automatically steer clear of the type they are not normally interested in.
But, you are not the first that has reviwed my music that 'normally' has no interest in Country.

Anyways, I am working on this song with you already. Lol

Thanks for listening and reviewing.

Hello there John,

I appreciate your listening and giving me a review back on my latest country mix. I can play several syles and always have fun doing different types of music that I like.

With a lot of practice and 44 years of playing, I have had time to learn other styles and try to put them in my creations. Anyone can do this if they just practice and have the desire.
Since I do own and play 6 different instruments, I have developed broad skills and thus, my music.

Thanks again John,

YOu know what, every time I listen to one of your tracks, I am just amazed at the guitar. You are one of thoseguitarists that didnt leave their roots at the door, and its just soulful and beautiful. I also am confident that If I ever had a year and a half to write with you you and I could be huge stars!!!!!

Randall822 replied Unknown
Hi ya Chuck,

Thanks for stopping by and giving a listen to my latest county mix. As for the guitar, I have lots of tools at my disposal for the different sounds, and also just the natural sound of a particular guitar and how you play it.

I am not sure about becoming a huge star tho.. ha ha. Might better get together with one of those young bloods on YouTube that you watch in awe, and are looking for a start.

When I was doing sound reinforcement in my earlier days, there was a fellow of around 18 that was very good. He had a bright future I thought to myself for sure, but he was into pot smoking a lot, so I never heard whatever happened to him as I moved out of the area. That was back in the mid 70's.

Thanks for your review. Will give you one back shortly and the others here as well.

It's good, and what others have said about the track crying out for a lead vocal is so true!!! The sound of you plugging your guitar in, or cable fizz whatever, (was that - in the spirit of punk deliberate?) although obviously you don't need telling that "Punk" has a broader spectrum than what many people think -

To my ears - this guitar/cable fizz spoils the track a little and it is a good song, structured well nice riffs, with a good guitar solo.
Randall822
Randall822 replied Unknown
Hi there MCLA,

Thanks for reviewing my track and your great comments and suggestions.
As for the guitar plugging in sound/noise....yes it was deliberate as I changed guitars and thought it would add more to a live feel.
Thanks for your review and I will check out your page as well.

Hi ya Firebird,

Thanks for your review of Gunga Din. I appreciate any and all comments. As for vocals, yes you are correct. How many instrumentals have made it in the world?
Not many memorable ones that I can think of. Vocals would be great and I could work the leads around them, but I haven't had too many volunteers to do vocals as I can't sing myself.
Anyways, thanks for your input

Hey Randy...man you wound up the spring on the Country clock with this one!..YeeHar!..Super playing and the spread of the melody throughout the various instruments is great!....It's fantastic that you can pull out an authentic country upbeat groove just like stepping off the curb..good music never goes out of style and in a genre that doesn't get enough exposure around here this totally shines!.....Wether your rockin or flat out flat picking or sliding or finger styling or fiddling down..(phew!)lol....you rule! cheers Dave :)
Randall822
Randall822 replied Unknown
Hi ya Dave,

Thanks so much for the glowing review. I appreciate all your kind words. I love country music and I should do more, but I also like Rock and Blues.....so I try to do an equal amount, but it doesn't usually work.

Making an instrumental to last near 3 min. is tough. So you have to think about putting in other instruments to help out so the song doesn't get boring.
Looks like I did OK with this one. The Lead guitar is played at different points on the neck starting out in each section, to give it a different sound and pattern.

It was fun to do and I'll surely make more.
Thanks again,
Randy
