Description : wow .. been offline for five months! in the woods with dial-up, which I didn't even use ... so, anyway, nice to be back ....
this was just a simple little thing where I was sitting and watching the news and just got frustrated by the permeation of war into everything around us ... so I booted up ACID and make a simple, short little expression ....

Description : this was a beat that I was hearing in the back of my head and did a decent job of replicating ... still adding to it, but I like the tone a lot ... just ACID 6, some ACID loops and some other free loops that i have found ... maybe adding my voice in some way soon ....

Description : I have been tweaking this track for awhile and I think I've got it down. The vocal pieces can be slightly rough, but they are from the moment of creation - true stream of conscious - and I like to retain the energy from that moment. I hope you enjoy this track ... it moves around a lot musically ....ACID 6, loops & my voice ...

Description : ACID6 & loops ... just jumped into a new track and this is what came out ... I tried to keep it a bit mellow and I had a hell of a time getting rid of some buzz in the mix, but it ended up teaching me a little bit about compression, so that was worth it ...

Description : A friend gave me this piece of music to use and I finally started to hear some words for it ... it is a very chill piece ... he did a great job ... nice strings and washes ... very cool ... my stream of conscious wanders a bit thematically, but i like where it is going ... enjoy ...!

Description : This is a piece that I wrote a few years ago, as my wife and I were getting separated. It provided me with a good mantra, as dark as it seems. A reminder that we get addicted to people and that is it not truly as bad as it feels. I will be re-recording the vocal, but I do like where it is right now. Another short piece ... enjoy ...

Description : I can't stop laughing, really .. i've been dying to do something a little more down home and created a little beat frame and slid in some nashville slides ... then just hit the mic and did a quick stream of conscious ... it is the first time i've recorded with the fx already set, which is cool .. kick yer boots on the table and take her a listen ....

Description : this was fun ... i sat in front of the microphone and just started letting it out ... at first, it was just the getting there ... and then I got there a bit and used it for this piece ... so, this time words first and then some simple layers on top ... i wanted to keep the vocal the only thing that was really changing overtly ... let me know what you think!

Description : little concept track ... someone from my high school started a social networking site based on the school alone (ning.com, i think ... very cool, btw). so, it's been a nostalgic few days ... seeing their faces ... basketball was a big thing at my school, both with the team and on the outdoor courts (not that I was much of a player, but I loved it) ... so I collected some varied basketball loops and just let it out ... enjoy ...

Description : ran across an old song, where I recorded this random stream of conscious ... so I rerecorded the vocal and slipped it in to the track that I was working on ... first time getting to work with some real native american beats and sounds ...

Description : This piece begins with a spoken word music track that I had posted here, which started with a poem that I recorded and then built the music around. Someone mentioned doing a remix of somekind ... and well, this is where I went with it ....

Description : This was fun. I just ran the train sounds for a bit and listened and then started to hear some little phrases, which I then recorded. Then just followed the tone into the beat .... looking forward to completing this one ...

Description : Yes, I am addicted to far and middle eastern music (loops). Using ACID 6 & loops, this is my homage to the movie 'Kung Fu Hustle' (which, if you haven't seen, is a jaw-dropping and funny movie)
(also, there is a couple bits of over-heavy bass, I have to find the dang song file, so I can fix it ... )

Description : The music was created using ACID6 and loops. The vocal part is a stream of conscious spoken word piece that just came out as it is (did not write it ahead of time) ... I fused the two together a few months ago.

Description : I just started this today, as an exercise ... all loops, using ACID. I might bring it back a bit. I set out to keep it simple and kind of light, but as usual the loops drew me into something else. Let me know what you think...
