Description : Lyric contribution for Gordw

See my reflection
in the bottle
change my ways
I'll start tomorrow
pay my bills on time
come home every night
spread more joy
than sorrow

(chorus)
always a boy
seldom a man
Not what I hoped
not what I planned
Just another day
full of mistakes
always a boy
seldom a man

Easter Sunday
cold outside
walls shrinking in
so much guilt inside
I try to pray
"God, show the way"
I need Thee every hour

Lay my girls
down to sleep
Made a promise
I did not keep
Lived for myself
put thier love on a shelf
now someone new
does what I should do

(repeat chours)

wow - just wow... so if this is true lyrically, it's excellent to express it, but it's also the singer singing to himself, hope he learns from whoever is really singing here.. and a great guide for others to avoid similar situations, if they so choose. great expression !

You wrote beautiful lyrics for this music. Theses are very sad lyrics that brought tears to my eyes. I now get your avitar. I find it also parallels my life in many ways. Very nice work with great lyrics. Thank you for this. Take Care My Friend.

Glad you liked it. Sometimes, it's hard to hear a new take on a song you had other lyrics for. I knew I was taking a big chance, but the music was perfect for the story.
Also, I may have a couple projects for this song to be a part of. Let's stay in touch and see how it grows on people.
Thanks again for your support and friendship.

P.S. I'm glad you picked up on the symbolism with my avitar. Not many people get it.

Description : Update Nov 11.: Mastered
Many might be surprised to hear music here that lies somewhere between chanson and folk.
We wanted to write a song that wasn't dominated by synth or electric sounds. The text was written by Claudia Boekels, the music largely by Angelica Schwanitz and to a lesser extent by Manuela Boekels.

We were especially looking forward to the wonderful collaboration with Tanja Wirtz, who has great talent on the accordion, and Danior, who can make his violin cry.

Description : What happens when a short but hypnotic celtic intro turns into something completely different? The most noteworthy collaborator on this track (yeah you guessed, it's Tumbleweed) answered correctly to this question! A newly patented musical genre is what happens...yes..."SlovenianCelticCowboyMusic" is born. Sometimes we just have to cut off from being too serious...The version presented here has been carefully chosen from 4856 or so mixes...
As always all thanks to my dear friend Ed who makes such wonders possible to happen.....

Description : I was told to do a better description this time. Blast you, Dr. Evil! You know descriptions are my one weakness!

I just couldn't get this one to sound right but Micky added accompaniment that sounds great. All music is by him. This song is the 1st modernized song I know of using Mohegan language.

Translations are in the lyrics.

Please do let us know what you think about it, and if you are now afraid of zombie children in meadows.

Description : I had a lot of fun recording my last folk song, so I thought I'd take a stab at recording another one. This time I limited myself to 2 for all my vocals and instruments (guitar, piano, ukulele and organ). Enjoy the song and leave a comment letting me know your thoughts :)

Description : This is a country/folk track in a genre I don't do much, so I thought I'd give it a go. It also has some instruments I don't use much, namely the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. I got the title from a movie I saw a few months ago. Hope you enjoy, Scott.

Description : Kindofa '60s work song. Another song from my collab with Sunny War. This is the first song on our album HELP which we should get done this month. This song started with looperman-l-0498019-0072501-tumbleweed-90-g-slow-train-rhythm, a great rhythm guitar riff; the song just emerged out of it without effort. Props to Tumbleweed and his great guitar loops which I have often used. Then there were three other loops, drum, piano and lead guitar. Sunny replaced the guitar loops with her acoustic picking, using Tumbleweed's loop as the inspiration. The drum and piano loops remain: looperman-l-1703213-0101854-deathsquadktown-1994-inspired-hip-hop-drum-beat 90, looperman-l-0592478-0101770-designedimpression-piano-loop-will-power-94 g. Thank you, loopers! Feedback please!

Description : Start the new year off with a folk song about a train, a song about taking the long way home. This one is for Stobe the Hobo, RIP.

Description : I wanted to do something different like i do normaly. And I think that I was successful.
A -drum n chill folk song-. A kind of hippie music in colorful garb of the modern era.
At the end of the track there is a bonus.
Something in the way of bonfire music.
Only minor2go with guitar and I sing all alone at ......................................................................................................

Description : Totally different story here as I wondered if I manage to capture the real feel of the genuine folk music which I love as much as the electronic one. I also added some classical twist like oboe or short cellos arpeggio. Very basic arrangement though, still feel more confident with pure electronic sounds.

Description : The story of "Heer & Ranjha" is kind of an Indian version of "Romeo & Juliet" ....

while listening to this song try to imagine the scenario where "Heer" (Juliet) is dying next to "Ranjha" (Romeo)
