Description : I've used mhyst's acapella 'Without You' to create this down-tempo track, with her vocals very much to the fore. Her voice reminds me of Tracey Thorn, so I've kept it fairly clean and dry (just a touch of reverb) and produced the track with a very EBTG vibe. I really enjoyed working with her vocals would like to do so again.

I like a lush sound, a 'produced' sound, but I fear I'm nowhere near at the level of most of you here. Still, I get tremendous pleasure and inspiration in working with a thoughtful, emotional vocal. I hope this sound evokes the kind of languid, melancholy sense of loss I discovered in mhyst's delightful acappella.

I've renamed this 'A Moment In Time', since the lyrics, arrangement and mood seemed to suggest this. I hope mhyst doesn't mind.

The experiment began with asking GPT to write lyrics for a 3-minute house track; I ended up with way too much text, and I don't sing that fast. Next, I started coming up with melodies for the vocals, recorded the vocal parts, added instruments, and reworked the melodies, drum, and bass lines over and over again in an attempt to create a cohesive whole.
I made extensive use of JS: Vocoder (by Geraint Luff).
