Very nicely done! Loved the drums/bass. Had a nice powerfully deep feel to it. Then the melody lightened everything else up. Overall, very peaceful song. Props for making it on an itouch haha :D

This is a fun track! I love those e-piano melodies, definitely very jazzy! Great drum beats, they've got a breakbeat edge to them! I think the mix sounds pretty good for this style of tracks! So you did this on a phone? That's so cool! Really good track friend!

haha Youre too kind! First track I ever produced, and its funny that you should review this one, because I just gave it a relisten and I think its horrible even worse without the original samples from the ninja turtles movie... well at least terribly boring! I did do it on an itouch, which is why a lot of the instruments are... lacking. Im planning on giving it a remix in the very near future... So maybe you can listen to that one as well! Breakbeat is a very good choice for a genre, so maybe thats what Ill do the remix in. Thanks for the review!

    Keep it up!

thanks for the review! I've been considering messing with the melody line a bit as I feel it's a bit thin and unsatisfying... How would you suggest I adjust the mastering? I'm new to mixing stuff on a comp, so advice is more than welcome

Glad you like the drums, the DnB loop I got here, but I should probably post that first drum loop since it seems to be the most popular part of the song! message me if you want a copy direct, I can hook you up with it.

I'd say this is a pretty good drum loop considering how u made it. I liked the intro guitar with those chords, had a jazzy feel to it.

you got some awesome drum beats there, but the guitar is a bit lacking, i suggest you try string thing and string theory (theyre free too, just google their names with vst4free in the search). personally i like this better without the sample

edit: just goes to show you that its not a very good sample inthe first place, i suggest mda piano

Thanks for the review! I'm amazed that both people to comment on the melody so far have called in guitar, when it's actually piano (or at least so sayth the Beatmaker app) I play drums in real life, so I definitely have more of an undertanding of how they work than really anything to do with melody lines. Honestly if I could produce nothing but rhythms I'd be a happy camper. I'll check out both those programs, but my current computer... well is either an iphone or a really, really old mac laptop, so I might have to wait til i can scrape together the dough to buy something new. I actually just updated the track with the newest, most complete version, so I'd appriciate if you'd give it another listen, although honestly, the melody doesn't change a whole lot. Anyway, if you like it without samples this is definitely the version to check out... Thanks again!

Description : Just like the first EP "OGOU", this production focuses on organic elements with drum samples. It contains modern sounds such electronic down-tempo, future bass, and hip-hop, which makes the music sound old and new at the same time. With heavy sampling of African chants and sound generated from other tribes, this is production will bring more flavor and enjoyment--it's like Africa to your Ears.

Description : After a major uphill battle completing this song and turning it into what it is now, I feel some amount of satisfaction. It was like reality wanted me to give up or something. It's done... phew... Have updated this almost completely, from repatching the modular bass, playing some guitar parts, adding electric piano and synth lead, redoing and tuning the DW-6000 synth, of course adding my vocals, and mixing and mastering. It really has become pretty new wave, like much of my stuff does recently. Have added the lyrics as well. I am proud and happy with it, and I hope you all enjoy listening! UPDATE... woohoo just broke 1000 plays on this track here at looperman!
***original description***
Hey finally here with a new track! I'm not sure what to call this other than electronic, due to the high tempo. This is the first song finished using my interface which allows direct MIDI control of my modular synthesizer. The mid frequency bass part is all from that patch. There are tracks designed with my Zoom RT-123 drum machine, the microkorg, and the circuit bent KORG DW-6000. Other than that it is just a kick and snare drum sample, and a a quick vocal snippet. So I guess it's fairly minimal in that respect. Would like to hear the Looperman community's thoughts on this song! Thank you for listening
