Description : This is a song where I fused Electronic/DnB/Dubstep together into one melodic eargasmic track. Please give it a listen, and let me know what you think of my style. (and by the way amalgamation is the process of combining or uniting multiple entities into one form, which we all combine multiple elements into one song) if anyone wants to add vocals or re-master let me know!!
This is the final cut at least composition wise.
Thanks for all the support looperfam

Well done on constructing this piece, seems to me it would have been a little bit of a headache to get everything to come together, but you have done it extremely well, again with Dex was not to sure about the track when it first started, but when listening to the rest of it, the beginning does actually work very well with the rest of the piece, great synths, good arrange of beats in this, great entertaining track, very enjoyable listen, Fav'd Dude...Ty for sharing...Peace and respect Blunts...Estefano...
Went directly to this track because of the title. For a while now I've been thinking of music itself (as a language) as an "emotional amalgam" or "aggregate." What you've done in terms of fusing genres and traditions really solidifies this idea for me.
I kind of had the same reaction to the beginning as Dextdee, but on the second listen I feel like that it adds a necessary tension that's resolved and is actually more satisfying that it would be without that initial sense.
thanks means a lot comin from you :) you got skills! i like the way you are thinking of music, some say love is a universal language, i would like to think music is. again i appreciate the kind words, gives me inspiration and motivation to move forward and keep on crankin out the beats!
Blunts...this is freakin' amazing! Awesome 8bit tumbles in there. The melody is epic, I like when you thicken it up with the synth guitars. The production is nice and robust, too. Definately diggin the dubstep beat and bass (great wobble and tone on the bass, BTW) with all the trancy synth pads.... Its like cinematic dubstep. I like how everything kind of sounds re-sampled. Great work!
thanks a lot man, means alot comin from you after hearin some of your stuff! I am glad you noticed the synth guitars, thats prolly my favorite part haha.
Love the energetic feel on this track! The synths sound great, and the melodies are awesome! Nicely created drum beats too! You have a talent for blending styles! I like this very much!
thanks spiv, always love to hear from you. this is probably my best attempt at creating drum beats(which i think is my weakest attribute in creatin tunes) glad ya like them, means im gettin a lil better haha. thanks for taking the time to share your kind words, means so much to me!
to be honest with u man when the track started i did not really like it, but after 30 secs when everything kicked in with the melody. so i rephrase, really good compilation here. and it is a big fusion of many other genres if u did not notice, sometimes i heard hip hop, sometimes i heard electronic and others
nice work on this one. i really like it and enjoyed listening to it.
thanks dext, if you got any suggestions to make the beginnin more enjoyable feel free to let me know :) always lookin for tips. I am glad it changed for ya and you enjoyed it! I do like to mix genres and its cool that you noticed!! Appreciate the kind words man :)
What else can I say that hasn't been said? Scooby Doo scoops his own poo. JK this track has plenty of layers that interplay nicely, the chopped up filtered synth is sick, drums are insanely lovely, melody is captivating, bass line is subtle yet powerful (huh?), keyboard is playful around 1:30, effect at 2:15 is discombobulating, synthline at 2:40 is fitting. Roger roger check check. - DF
Yeah wow this is really exciting like! very upbeat and fun sound. kinda like HelloGoobye style. I really enjoyed it mate you nailed it! :) Luv the guitars and the synths. Though it could use a Breakdown with a sweet sound but still just wow! :)
Nice man, I like the beat you chose and this track is sounding good so far. Those are some pretty nasty synths too. So far so good man. Thanks for the knowledge drop. I didn't know what Amalgamation was until now. Blume :)
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
