Welcome To The New Machine - DFury

Name: Welcome to the New Machine
Duration: 237 s
Channel: DFury
Description: A bit of a tribute to Pink Floyd with my twist, love their vibe. This didn't start off to be as such but I let the sounds take me on a ride, hope you enjoy. I used a couple drum loops I built and posted for upload but others came from this site, particularly the sick bass line which I believe "the" looperman Shan / Serial Chiller uploaded.

Nice funky break, short scrappers were a nice touch.
Bass levels are good. Break later has a wicked feel.
THose breathing sounds are kind of weird though.
Keep it up.
Steve

Glad you enjoyed, yeah the breathing is... uh... different, true to Pink Floyd's strange influence in this track. Thanks for comment, stay cool -DF

danguiano 10th Jan 2011 17:58 - 15 years ago

DFury replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Wonderful, glad you enjoyed as much as me, I'm glad how it came together... once careful loop creation/selection was made, they blended effortlessly

sparkfirehot 27th Jun 2010 13:04 - 16 years ago

luv this beat homie, it has a lil hiphop vibe to it and it's sick...keep it up peace.

DFury replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Tx dude, glad you're feeling it. In fact I changed the genre to that since it prolly better reflects the vibe.

clinthammerMUSIC 24th Jun 2010 21:40 - 16 years ago

Man! I know I already reviewed this, but I really like what you did with it. the dirty bass gives chills! The climbing bubble synth in the middle sounds cool as fu*k.

LOL the snoring!!! I just heard snoring! Hell yeah ! kudos. Very creative awesome choice of sounds!

Keep it up, D!

clinthammerMUSIC 24th Jun 2010 04:01 - 16 years ago

This is cool. I like the bass, it's the exact same notes as Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine" which is one of my favorite tracks!

I like the distortion towards the middle, And then you drop the old skool beat and vocals samples. very nice!

Good song!

DFury replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Awesome glad it works for you. You're right, def got a PF feeling, what a band! In fact, you gave me the idea for the track name, hope it does it justice. I ended up adding a little more meat and left the beginning as is, for now at least. I'm trying out new sound fx so hope not to go over the top in the end. Thanks for the review.

Description : Six Feet Endless....
This track I finished today ( mixing and mastering ).
Kinda dark electronic and atmospheric track.
Vocals and lyrics by Alaa Ezzeddine ( the acapella from LM ). If you're claustrophobic, don't listen to this one :) :) :)
