Listen To Theologia Ex Machina Ambient Song By ValveDriver At Looperman.com

3rd Jan 2026 21:43 - 1 month ago
Description : This is a slow mechanical ritual. Heavy, suspended, and inward-pressing. Tones breathe instead of progress, ancient intent filtered through cold circuitry. Prayer becomes signal, faith becomes vibration. Nothing resolves or rushes; it simply exists, patient and indifferent. Purified not by grace, but by repetition. Metallic, and quietly oppressive. Like deep silence.

All machinery sounds were created with Serum 2.
Enjoy.

Hello ValveDriver, this is pretty stuff, I almost feel this is post Terminator....where a lot of was decided and then nothing made sense after all.....just more and more violence and destruction.....if any of this makes sense today.......this is definitely a thought provoking track you've put together.
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 27th Jan 2026 - 3 weeks ago
It does make sense, Glenn. I think it makes more sense today than it has in a long time.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I really do appreciate it.
Take care.

You are not your body, you are not your mind.... I'm not sure if I find that comforting or disturbing. This is a very cosmic trip man. And is that the same poet you put on an old track of mine, lady Lazarus?? I need to listen to this a few more times to understand it I think. But the music itself is thoroughly cinematic, brooding and full of menace and danger. Interesting trip, Cheers Chris.
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 17th Jan 2026 - 1 month ago
If I remember correctly, Chris, the poet I used on Lady Lazarus was Sylvia Plath. The lady in this one is some random lady I found claiming to have had an interaction with Mother Mary and St. Michael. The male vocals are from someone reading the Prayer of St. Michael. I just processed them. Heavily.
I'm going to take "interesting" as a compliment. Mainly because I like to make art that makes people think. Not only in music, but in my drawing and painting as well.
Either way, thanks for having a listen, and leaving some feedback.
Take care.

Good track, bro. It reminds me a bit of the gloomy, dark, industrial atmosphere and machinery of Warhammer 40k.

I'm not familiar with Warhammer 40k. But if it's sounds like this track, I may have to look into it!

Superior creatures of prime origin communicating with us and among them, reasoning existence and God, a hard way and a prayer. Purely cinematic to me, of course with various elements that blend so uniformly in an ambient, dark ambient theme.
Great work V.
Best wishes, Anthony

ValveDriver replied 17th Jan 2026 - 1 month ago
Thank you, Anthony. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've only recently started diving into the ambient genre. So far, I really enjoy it.
As far as the content, your interpretation is very close to what I had in mind while making it.
To me, religion is not revelation, but mechanism. A system built to impose order and meaning on an indifferent reality. Its power comes from structure and repetition, not truth or belief. Like a machine, it functions regardless of faith, producing comfort, control, or judgment as outputs. This track reflects this: divinity as artifact, faith as process, meaning manufactured rather than found.
This isn't a matter of questioning the existence of a higher power, but questioning the lore that humans have built around it.
Again, thank you Anthony.
Take care.

Danke, what's up, brother? I'm glad to hear from you. You've been so quiet lately I thought maybe you had given up on us. I'm happy to see that you haven't.
Thanks for giving this one a listen. I've recently discovered that I really like creating Ambient tracks. All of my work always kind of has been, but now I just dove in head first to see what I can come up with.
So, no heavy guitars for awhile. :-) You've always been more of a fan of my darker synth stuff. And that's perfectly fine with me. I'm just glad you like what I do!
Take care, mister. I hope all is well with you as well!

Did u just invent Industrial Ambient? I cant say Ive ever seen that genre anywhere, and Ive certainly never heard it. If anyone is going to, its you. Either way, its superb. How could it not be? Your artistry has been an inspiration for a long time, my friend. Thank you for sharing it.

I don't know if it's a new genre or not. I just know that what started out as fucking around in serum2 to get machinery sounds turned into this. I dig it! I'm glad you did too.
Thanks for listening to it!

Aaron Ok! Come on with the creative artistry. Ambient yeah, but you can't rule out just a touch of industrial. That's a bossed up description for what you created! Impressive my friend!
Peace,

Mark, how are ya, bud? There is absolutely no denying the industrial element in this one! Industrial has been a steady part of my rotation since 1989. I don't think, at this point, there's any escaping it in my own music.
I'm glad you took the time to listen and comment on this one.
Take care, my friend.

WOW cinematic, I would say- tells an unsettling story - the heartbeat adds a whole new layer of possibilities - is AI taking us over - is there separation on dimensions of good and evil...Possibilities endless v well done, Aaron

ValveDriver replied 7th Jan 2026 - 1 month ago
Thank you, Kay. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. The possibilities truly are endless. That's the great thing about music, you can interpret them how you'd like, and make your own realities. As beautiful, or as horrifying, or as beautifully horrifying as you'd like that reality to be.
Thanks again, Kay.
Take care.

Description : EDIT: I adjusted the ending as per Paperkup's suggestion. I like it better. Maybe you will too.

The realization, and inevitable acceptance that the last ember of life is smouldering into obscurity. Then finally, and peacefully, exhaling the final breath of life.
This is a dark ambient track that will go between two of my other tracks. A good pair of headphones/earbuds are highly suggested for this one.

Opinions and criticisms are welcome. Enjoy, and take care. V.

Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.

Description : I intentionally made this song minimalistic. The drums I spliced together from some drum loops I had, there's one other loop in the mix, the rest of the instruments are played by me (bass and synths). I used the excellent (and free) Cakewalk z3ta+ vst and the BBC Symphony vst. My intention was to create a very simple and dream like ambient track. Feel free to download or comment. Feedback is always welcome. Thanks.

Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
