OK, Pete, it's nice to see your are still are setting the bar really high for the rest of us. What a wonderful composition. This one has all of the elements a great cinematic track requires. Wonderfully suspenseful, but hopeful as well. I'm listening as I look out over the pond in our back yard. Since the hurricane last week, it has changed tremendously and for some reason, this song is the perfect accompaniment to mother nature.

Beautiful work my friend. As usual, the mix is spot on, with wonderful clarity on all of the instruments you used. Another master class for all of us in composition, performance, and execution. Well done, Pete. I hope all is well.

Love the evolution of this and the spacey, mysterious vibe. Different chord changes and melodies keep me guessing and provide a feeling of suspension. Great mix and production too.

Thanks brother, its good to hear from you. Thanks for the listen and kind review. Yes, Studio One workflow is one of a kind. I've used others ( Fl Studio, Ableton, Cubase, Reaper ), but I end up coming back to S1. Not knocking the others. They're all wonderful DAW. Be well and stay safe.

This does have a Mike Oldfield feel to it with a Roxy music middle-period melancholy chord structure (Bittersweet, and a Song for Europe comes to mind) but with a vastly synth-based feel. nice work.

Spd2 replied 30th Sep 2022 - 4 years ago

Thank you Cru, I'm glad you came to listen. Your kind review is appreciated. I really enjoy Mike Oldfield's music. Roxy I'm not familiar with. Now you got me curious. Be well and stay safe.

great work mate love that intro the stick taps on the hat, the atmospheric music is brilliant, the melody gives the piece an air of light, but there is a dark mysterious undertone in there as well, very creative and cinematic as already mentioned there is a tubular bells feeling, good mix, crystal clear the chord/note changes are clever, good work INTER

Thank you dimestop, very nice of you to drop in. Thank you for the listen and your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it. salud!

Nice buildup of layers. Good overall writing. Pleasant mix and timbre choices. Nice, unpredictable note choices and additions.

This should have more faves.

Description : Remaster and rework of older track that just didn't feel quite finished. It was lacking guitar work, and a better arrangement. I think it's in a good spot. I never did write lyrics for this, the vocal samples just seemed to fill it out pretty decently.

Description : Underground sample-based hip hop with overdriven low-end, broken-beat swing, sparse funky piano chops and heavy turntablism. Beat gaps and sudden mutes create hard-hitting drops, with a raw, dusty, low-frequency sound.
