Sounds nice and very original mister.
I hear so many cool sounds but it stays calm.
Your voice in this way didd reminded me of sting.
Well done!!

Really creative piece of music. First i was turned off from the reverb but then started noticing it fits to the track and your vocals. The modular synth is lovely and brings a lot of depth into the already dreamy vibe!

pseudoble replied 21st Nov 2021 - 4 years ago

Thanks for listening and the warm feedback - : )

This is very cool, ethereal, spacey, trippy, psychedelic...

Vox sound great, they sit in the mix rather than stand out in front of it. Panning instruments with freq's that interfere with the vox to each side helps make them stand out without having to turn them up. Reverb, I find, helps sit them in a mix and can also bring some volume. I like how you mixed them here!

I liked it. I didn't hear the vox before so I don't have a frame of reference.

Here's a video to help with vocal mixing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-Ggk2zBl4A&ab_channel=InTheMix

Mixing vox has some standard practices, such as de-essing, volume correction/normalization, compression, saturation, and reverb/delay. I've struggled with it myself more than once.

That being said, in the end you have to close your eyes and trust your ears. Objective dials and gauges don't reflect the inherent subjectivity of the content.

Nice work, I like the "sloppy lead," keep it up.

Thanks for listening and again sharing some knowledge and great tips - love that about LM - so much talent and experience here that is really useful to be able to tap into : )

AtticElla 13th Nov 2021 03:25 - 4 years ago

You are right. The vocals were a tad too loud before. What a difference it made to bring them down! Now it's perfect, beautiful! Love the texture on this tune. May I ask what modular synth(s) you are using?

pseudoble replied 13th Nov 2021 - 4 years ago

Thanks - : )

Softube modular (just on sale for US 89 and I bought the
4ms Spectral Multiband Resonator (SMR) on sale fior US 23 - both fit in a vst eurorack and can be used with softube delay, reverb ...

Bloody complicated but not knowing what Im doing means lots of experimentation so can be interesting

ioncewas 12th Nov 2021 19:41 - 4 years ago

good luck on the AAP, good job

pseudoble replied 12th Nov 2021 - 4 years ago

Thanks for listening and commenting - much appreciated

Paz y salud.

pseudoble replied 12th Nov 2021 - 4 years ago

Gracias de nuevo Sirefox por el cálido comentario - como dice la expresión "me ha crecido" no estaba seguro de que funcionara en absoluto al principio. Tiene un poco de sueño pero yo también : )

Zootman 12th Nov 2021 18:32 - 4 years ago

Beautiful, luscious dream state. Some sweet lead guitar too, u better watch out I might hit u up to add some to my track I'm trying to work on!

pseudoble replied 12th Nov 2021 - 4 years ago

just retweaked mate - the vox was a bit too loud I thought

thanks for the warm feedback

: )

dimestop 12th Nov 2021 13:34 - 4 years ago

Ian this is a dreamy piece mate, the modular synth sounds great I'm sure you will soon show the full range of it in time, the samples added are great. Although this is nothing like mine an Zoots treacherous moon I don't wanna be here, it gives me that same feeling when the vox are a perfect match to the music I just wanna die, thought we had chemistry fire mate

pseudoble replied 12th Nov 2021 - 4 years ago
