Description : I'm writing some simple, direct songs these days, mainly because I have a theme. I'm working on a project (which gives me an excuse to make a lot of songs) called "The Love Offensive." The theme is: less hate, more love. I've written like 30 songs for the project, but am trying to exercise discipline and whittle it down to the 8 or 9 best. Your input can help with that.
This song is unabashedly from the heart. I'm not much of a singer - not blessed with a beautiful voice that you would listen to no matter what it's singing just cuz it's so beautiful. My voice has to carry meaning and feeling to work. I do something I call "melodic talking" which is part talking, part singing, sometimes a little more one or the other, depending. The music consists of loops from philemonster, vis3ctrix, sushilbawa, travle7 and tmanpro - thank you; without your loops, I couldn't make songs. This is probably not trip hop, but there's no "redneck hiphop" category, so...

Redneck hip hop!! I love it! Have you invented a new genre?? Seriously I listened to this all the way through so Im probably going to have nightmares now! This would make an excellent soundtrack to a scary movie! Very haunting indeed! You have worked the vocals (round the track??) very well and the production is spot on! Very nice work here my friend!

The world definitely needs some new genres. I dread scrolling through the list and having to pick one; my stuff never seems to fit anywhere, and hey maybe that's the problem. The absolutely hilarious thing is that I never ever thought I was doing something scary. But now that I listen back to it, it's like, Duh. So you gave me insight into my own work, my friend. Maybe that's why I have a hard time with genre - I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Oh well, it's still fun. Thank you for your kind comments. The one about the production makes me happy cuz I always struggle with Audacity to get the mix right, tweak after tweak. Sorry about the nightmares! You might also like these tracks

Description : Vocal; DJ Sample. Drums; The Savage. The rest is me. I mapped the bassline by watching bass tutorials themed on Bootsy Collins, hence the funk vibe. Despite that this is still a Clickbait Cabaret track, so the spooky vibe is still there, hence the trip hop tag. I dig trip hop.
