It's great Maj! I like how around 1:20 you go into a different, more orchestral section; I would maybe want that a bit louder to grab my attention. And then I was actually hoping that around 2:00 the 2 sections would merge :) but I also like how you went to the original theme.

    Wow, Vangelis of Looperman!!
Thanks for that Much love here too mate.
Mate, you are the top man of Looperman.
If have noticed that I have been very quiet since last week the reason for that is. I had a massive crash on my big PC and my 8TB external HDD which had all my sound design files and music saves for the last eight years All gone.
I have been in touch with WD to try to recover some things to no avail.
Therefore the only music I have now is what I have saved on my profile with Looperman.
I'm very sorry I did not respond to you, I hope you'll forgive me, my dear friend.

Nice track my friend! Spacey, spiritual, mind expanding....

The middle bit has an American Indian feel to it which i feel fits the feel and idea of the song.

Sorry i missed this one but better late than never.

I believe in reincarnation, honestly. How can newborn babies just weeks old exhibit different personalities or any personality at all at that age yet some don't cry while others....do, ha! They must carry their karma along with them into their next life. No reason to fear death, coming back to suffer it all over again and again... A little Buddhism never hurt anyone.

    Cheers!

Life is eternal, the only thing changes is the form. Even at the end of our journey on Earth, something of us remains to keep us alive. Think to the musicians and their music... well, our community maybe does not include artists who have become famous and have changed the way world perceive music, but, if at least one of who listen to our music appreciated it and was glad to have listened to it, we have left our own trace in the world, a small glimpse that will lead us to life after life.

I'm glad to pay attention to this opera, mio caro amico Jamid, you made me feel so good just listening, then you leave your trace in my feelings, like every musician do.

Can a feeling, a memory, be a form of life?

    Sure, my friend.

I think you've created an absolutely beautiful track. It feels like a journey throughout and was really great to listen to and think about the concept. It's a song that starts a conversation and that's brilliant.

What I think is that no one asked to be born, but we all share the fate that we're going to die someday one way or the other. My beliefs are somewhat nihilistic in nature, being that life itself has no meaning other than what we put into it. Hence I'm pushed to think that there is nothing for our conscious selves. Maybe in our search for fulfillment as human beings, people have considered life after death as a way to bring themselves peace. Though thinking about the nothingness that lies ahead brings me peace in some form. To each their own, but to come up with an absolute answer could be interesting to say in the very least. The research points you brought up are a very interesting read.

I'm really looking forward to some more music like this from you. It's excellent.

we are all living this life by choice and it is but a single level of graduation on an infinitely progressing path of existence. when we die we are faced with the review of our own life full with the real raw emotions that accompany the memories we have, after which we are given choice, either be reborn and try again in hopes of learning more this time around, which is given at a slight cost of our memories of all that we are before this life, if you choose to move on you are once again faced with two options, if your a god fearing man you may find yourself in a place we would call hell, but it is of your own creation, if you have no fear of damnation then you can progress to what we may call heaven.but heaven is but a single level of existence in the infinity of space time. so if you find yourself sitting in a field with all the friends you would ever have laughing and signing to the tune of eternity, remember that for all the joy and pleasure we could know in this world, there are infinite variations and levels to know. always be growing and always be humble, honestly is the best policy because we really can lie to ourselves mistakes are made and lives are lost but this is but a single chapter in the book that is us.

A very eerie and hauntingly beautiful melody Jamid. Like some of the others as I listened I felt almost entranced by it and then it was over. It definitely could have been longer. The question you raise is quite possibly the oldest and most profound question in existence. One that every one of us will ponder at some point during life. I like to think that there will be a continuum beyond our present state but I tend to believe that if there is, we cant remain as we are. If you study different cultures and different religions they all have beliefs of life after death. Is it just a scare tactic to encourage us to live rightously and in fear of consequence of our actions, or is there truth in it? I guess there's only one way to find out. I will have to get back with you on that, but hopefully not anytime soon !!

3 thumbs up! Ambient, yes, I suppose, but to me this is more complex than that, more engaging, to me it's Cinematic, in fact takes me on a journey, an emotional journey with a lot of floating involved. I shut my eyes for most of it to listen, staring off into the distance of my eyelids. It's that kind of music, you see clouds in your eyelids and feel the breeze. Whether there's life after death or not, however, I do not know. But this music is a beautiful expression of the question.

You are having a productive year mate....and you managed to get a kind of spiritual vibe into this one..creative thinking...some nice airy synth sounds (and a little touch of the majestic at times)...The human mind does not have the capacity to even describe the spiritual as we are only able to use physical terms to describe it...and what is physical cannot in fact be spiritual..its a fun subject to try & get your hear around...time is physical (based on rotation of the planets)...distance is physical...energy is physical...etc...But must say to did a fine job of creating that overall etheral vibe that we can connect our musical imaginations with...big well done to you...Ed

This is awesome jamid! I was pulled in instantly. This track has a Silent Hill vibe. The synth melodies are haunting and solemn but when the strings enter the mix they take the song to a hopeful place. My opinion on life after death is that souls are constantly reborn. But I often wonder about just fading out you know. If there's nothingness what would that feel like? Anyways, well done man!

synchronicity. I just got done watching a twisted comedy about people who commit suicide. they end up in a world like ours but all the jobs, cars, and weather sucks.1 guy killed himself over a girl and finds out she killed herself right after him. so he goes to find her. weird but good movie (wristcutters) then I see your title and had to listen. you bring up a deep subject. yes to the afterlife. what and how is it? don't know. but if there is no afterlife, isn't life pointless? you can debate this forever and you will never have every one agree. so that is as far as I'll take it. all that and I am just now commenting on this piece. this music is very mind wondering. could loose your self in it. According to our scientific community
Lead researcher Dr Sam Parnia said: "Contrary to perception, death is not a specific moment but a potentially reversible process that occurs after any severe illness or accident causes the heart, lungs and brain to cease functioning.
"If attempts are made to reverse this process, it is referred to as 'cardiac arrest'; however, if these attempts do not succeed it is called death."
Of the 2,060 patients from Austria, the US and the UK interviewed for the study who had survived cardiac arrest, almost 40 per cent said that they recall some form of awareness after being pronounced clinically dead.
Dr Parnia continued: "This suggests more people may have mental activity initially but then lose their memories after recovery, either due to the effects of brain injury or sedative drugs on memory recall.

Who knows, my friend...not an easy one to say but if there's life after death, what's the point of death then? And on the other hand I don't think that the energy by itself makes a consciousness. Yet nothing is certain and maybe we meet beyond this reality one day...somewhere...with wine and music ofcourse...and maybe in company of some nice ladies..haha!
And this piece of music is very fine one...somehow mysterious and tense...fits the subject matter very well...so yeah, very cool work again

    According to our scientific community
The experiment raises difficult questions about when someone is dead and therefore when it is medically and ethically correct to use them for organ donation.
As many as a fifth of people who survive cardiac arrests report having had an other-worldly experience while being 'clinically' dead.
However, scientists say it's far too early to be talking about what this could mean for the post-death experience - especially considering it was only seen in one patient, according toScience Alert.

Very interesting song, and description. I'm enjoying pondering while listening!

I am firm believer in energy and matter as the composition of all that we know. I also believe that neither of these are created nor destroyed, they only change form. Life and death are a somewhat superficial demonstration of this, to me. They are simply different states of energy and matter.

Reincarnation, and related ideas, are often taken very literally. I feel that it is more a state of being what one was not before. The energy and matter that I am made up of could possibly become part of numerous states of matter and energy simultaneously, after this life form ends. Some of it may be absorbed into trees, eaten by animals, blown in the wind as part of the atmosphere... well you get the idea. Or, possibly, the energy and matter could be (unbelievably) transformed into another single life form. So really, to me, life and death are one and the same.

I have been wondering lately, after so many amazing people's lives have ended... Is it possibly for one's matter and energy to be absorbed by those who are already in a form of life? Obviously, we could be buried, and tree's roots would absorb matter and energy. Without consuming the entirety of the dead, could we essentially "become" the dead?

Oh well... I enjoyed the song. Have a good day!

    Hello spiv,
    How you doing mate,
Thank you very much for your feedback and the enlightening thoughts.
I find it very interesting and I do share your thought about the subject.

Is there life after death? This key question has intrigued humankind from the dawn of history

When faced with the potential of imminent death, most people suddenly find that life takes on a whole new perspective.Suddenly all of the belongings they might have accumulated seem quite meaningless, while the relationships formed and love shared take on great significance.
Some have had the rare opportunity to pass through the portal of death and return, only to find their understanding of life radically transformed. A recently developed field of study for these near-death experiences (NDEs) has blossomed and provided us with inspiring, true stories of of those who have experienced life after death and come back.
A number of doctors and scientists have even dedicated themselves to finding and studying these life after death stories the experiences of those who were actually declared clinically dead, yet somehow came back to life.
Even though this isn't something that really talked about daily it is provoke those thoughts out of us humans. ..

I've lost a lot of people in the last years and almost thought I was going to lose someone yesterday.I've come close to death many times myself...
I wasnt unease or uncomfortable about it I just came to accept it as a fact or a journey if you like.

dark mysterious and the unknown this is all just a coping mechanism. Life After Death misunderstood or misinterpreted

it's really the music that brings it out of us.
May these life after death stories touch your heart and inspire you to live your life more fully in each precious moment.

    Thanks Again.

Description : This is for my friend Danke who can't sleep at night. Yes, heat, heat...I guess Africa is hotter, but don't let the title and intro as well, deceive you! This is not African music nor the imitation of it. It's just a picture of starry African sky at night, painted with my european musical sensibilities and some imagination. So this is for Danke in the first place and then maybe for anyone who would like to fall asleep.:)...
Good night!:)

Description : Dear Loopers...Let Ed and me take you to the world of yet another musical fantasy born out of our latest collab efforts. Ed provided basic structure of the track with ever solid rhythm section, tasty synths and vocal pads while I took
on a role of pretending to be multi-instrumentalist again by smuggling in some sweet strings, bulgarian flute, celtic harp,
unexpectedly blurry piano and this time a tiny bit of real live acoustic guitar...what an adventure for a vst/keyboard guy..:) As always
my sincere thanks to Ed not only for letting me enjoy his great musical company but also for still standing as one of the firm pillars of Looperman society !

Description : Un tema sencillo, suave. Espero que les guste.

Description : I went to the beach and set up my stereo recording mic under a gazebo near it (I apologize for some of the air gusts being recorded haha; we had a strong SE wind that day :P Tried my best to place it out of the wind); wanted to record myself playing live and do some cheesy roleplay in the process - wanted to make it feel like the listener was sitting there beside me. ** This is what the beach looks like: http://static.travel.usnews.com/images/destinations/80/south_padre_island_main.jpg **

Lo and behold, I'm about halfway through the song when my buddy Mark, a friend from college, heard me singing and decided to join me (he seems to never part with his guitar lol).

The expression on his face was that of confusion as to why I had my mic with me and a audio-capturing device, which I plugged into an outdoor electrical plug that the gazebo owners installed lol (I've done recordings like this before but didn't like the results; we messed up a little at the end but I was like meh it's not bad anyways.) but I'm glad he didn't say it out loud or it would have ruined the recording lol. Luckily, I was playing a song he and I wrote together some time ago, so he was able to just jump right in. He's a great guitar player.

Even though it was a little awkward at the end since we hadn't seen each other for like 4 months (you might be able to tell by the way I responded to his "thats so cool" comment haha), I think it turned out just fine. It was a lovely evening and the clouds were all poofy and happy. Lots of people were there too, though I made sure to sit far away from all of them. Ahh, it was a beautiful day. I'm glad I live by the ocean :P * Just kidding, I recorded this in my studio; though I do live close to the water, this was not recorded there :P I did everything, down to the wind blowing into the mic, except for the sound of water and the kids in the background. I got those sounds here: freesfx.co.uk/login/

The guitars and vocals were one-takes to give a more realistic feel. No pitch-correction or autotune. Just wanted to try making another soundscape (or whatever you want to call this :P) about what it's like to live by the ocean.

Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice

Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...

Description : Guys, I've Just looked at my old music archives.
Ive stumbled upon this free Vst called Piano one.
I have never experienced sounds so true to a real piano, Ive paid a lot of money to a very well-known company for such vst which Ive never used because it did not sound like a piano.
The music of this track is replicated; However, the piano sounds are done with this vst.
I thought to share this little gem with you guys.
