Description : To remember how Avicii really touched and inspired us all, I am releasing this remix I originally gave up on and was not going to put out because I didn't feel like it was good enough. However, after hearing about Avicii retiring his music career, I decided to put it out anyways. I hope you guys enjoy!

wow, the intro means business lol.

    Nice track man.

Good use of sounds, sound design and synths.

    Love it fella.

Only thing I would say is, try to either turn some of the volumes down or ease off the master compression in the quiet drop down parts. that way when the drop comes in it gives the the listeners ears a break and creates more of a big dynamic impact when the track comes back in.

    Good work dude.

damn man, wobbin gave you a wonderful critique of your track (and quite some positive words). i concur with everything said in that critique. I'm gonna add that we all have stuff that sounds not good enough to our ears, yet is good enough once listened to by third party ears.

what makes it good enough, as opposed to great, is the mixing in the high end. it's way too screechy. i literally wanna get an eq plugin, turn on the high shelf filter, and bring it down like 6-12db in the 9khz and higher region (possibly even 18-24db at some points of the track).

also, in your snare clap. there's some kinda clicky layer to it that i would remove. adds unnecessary buildup around the 9khz and higher frequencies, which again causes a track to feel "screechy" so to speak.

hope what i says makes sense. just fix your high-end up, and you'll be good.

    Hey man!

    1) NEVER give up
    2) This is deff worth putting out here/there, don't be silly
    3) I LOVE this remix, very well done. Transitions/Buildups are professionally and it is actually bringing a ode to avicii while not losing your own identity in it.
    4) I do not even 'miss' the vocals, you managed it very good without.
    3) Some minor feedback that I personally find suiting:

    - intro, Fade everything except the sweep effect in for just a sec or 3/4. Not from o% to 100% but for example 60/70% to 100%. It gives the intro effect a bit more room without dominating entirely, while letting the ears adjust to whats coming instead of starting it right away quite loud.

Or, there are many ways, keep the volume, but maybe by using a filter/EQ cut that will slowly come in over a length of the first 17sec. Small detail but it gives a more professional touch since it is starting in right away now and makes me feel losing a bit of proper introduction.

    - Outro: Cut off the last 4 empty seconds

    Conclusion: splendid job!! Really :D
I hope the feedback is welcome and is seen as a helping matter.

Nice remix. Also, as far as I heard Avicii was still going to continue making music he just wasn't going to be doing live shows anymore.

WHAT. How come I didn't here about this back in April? That sucks, but at least he said he is still making music.

Now with regards to your track, I love the big-room/dance vibe you have going on, good remix!

Description : I had this amazing vox: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5256 and drums by Eos and Mmedia to work with and this is what I came up with.
The acapella is from Porter Robinson and Mat Zo's tune Easy, so technically it's a remix, but I actually heard the original after I made my own song around the vox so it's not similar at all...maybe that's a good thing, I don't know.
But I really did my best with this one and tried to use everything I learned so far while mixing and mastering and I'm actually almost happy with the result.
Work in progress though...the piano comes out in one ear and the vox in the other so something went wrong anyway. =D
Edit: I'm NOT happy at all anymore - hearing all the flaws now...
Feedback will be much appreciated!
