Description : Hey guys, its been a while since I posted a song. This was due to lots of personal business that I needed to take care of. Here is a hip hop track I made for my buddy Gino who raps. He wanted a rap beat that was made around an old song called "Steal my sunshine". This is what I came up with. The mix needs work, but I do not have time to do it at the moment. Tell me what you think, when he finishes writing the lyrics, I will upload the full version. As always thanks for stopping by, and all comments are appreciated! Have a wonderful day!

Hah, That song was from the Canadian band LEN, circa 1999. You chopped it well as I could barely hear it in there as it's sickly sweet sticky buns melody made it the summer number one in both the US and Canada.
Instead you chooped it into a raw sinister industrial sound which I liked as well.

Thanks Steve! I attempted to make it a little more dark than the original track, as it was for rap. I can actually hear the industrial sound you mention.

Hey Modnex very strong this one! I like the gritty and aggressive appeal. Courious to imagine some hard riff guitar parts on it, just an idea...

Thanks Max! Glad you like it. A hard riff guitar part sounds interesting, unfortunately I'm not very well at the guitar. Maybe someone will contribute and add it on for me. You guys just keep giving me all these awesome ideas, that's why I love looperman!

Cool track. It has a very 'heavy' sound, the samples and fx really give it a gritty edge. As you have said, the mix needs a little work, but it's already sounding quite good. So I look forward to hearing the final piece.

Was reading your description during the intro... when I got to the part about "Steal My Sunshine" being an old song, I finally realized that I am becoming elderly. I've never heard that song without the vocals, but I can hear the parallels in style for sure. I like the crazy sample chopping in this. Not what I expect when clicking on a hip hop track, but it's a pleasant surprise. Had fun listening throughout!

Thanks Pat! I know what you mean on that note, I feel that way too sometimes. Hip hop usually doesn't have as much chopped vocals as this song does, but I like to keep things original so I'm grateful for that ! Thanks for always stopping, always appreciated.
