nice update :) the vocals compliment the track nicely. i love the effect you used on the vocal in the second half. the monster voice or yeti voice :D.

    HAHA thanks blu :)

The "yeti" voice, as you so cleverly pointed out, is actually just the regular vox pitched down a couple of octaves though! Very simple actually and not much of an effect at all!

    Glad you enjoyed! :D

Very nice even. But not sure if I like the catchy ongoing melody enough to listen to it for five minutes and then repeat, could use some variation.
Great vocal, both female and male.

    Cheers/ SJ =)

    Hey SJ! Thanks !! :)

I agree somewhat with your views on the melody, but at the same time, I tried to stick with some of the fundamentals from Tropical House music in order to keep Ice House somewhat similar... i.e the repeating melody.

Thank you for your feedback. Always appreciated!! :)

Loving this track. Very chilled and easy to listen to. The vocals sound great and the staccato bassline that comes in after the chorus really livens the track. The spritely pads are a really nice touch, they play a lovely catchy melody.
My only criticism is the claps in the second chorus. They're not quite snappy enough to punctuate the beats as they should do. However, It's a small qualm in an otherwise brilliant track. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks TA! :D Definitely one of my better pieces!

You should give Ice House a shot! Only good things come from experimenting!!

Tell me what you need
It seems like I do it all
Apart from what you want
Move the glaciers, not all is lost

Lay down beside me
Ice on our backs from all the snow
Ice in our eyes from all the cold
What a mistake we've made, I know

And I know
That ice covers the road
But I'd swim an ocean of glaciers to find hope
I know it won't be easy
The sun is too far to comfort us
But we'll overcome the glaciers
That hide within our love

Who will save us?
Our lungs are frozen from the wait
Our hearts are broken from the pain
Move the glaciers, it's not too late

Although it's still rough
Don't you close your hands
And I hope you'll understand
We can make it, I know we can

I know it won't be easy
The sun is too far to comfort us
But we'll overcome the glaciers
That hide within our love
I know it won't be easy
The sun is too far to comfort us
But we'll overcome the glaciers
That hide within our love

But we'll overcome the glaciers

I'd swim an ocean of glaciers

But we'll overcome the glaciers

That hide within our love

Description : The tangled skein of life permeates all creation, binding the known to the unknown. This track, in its own subtle way, attempts to convey that.

Description : Just like the first EP "OGOU", this production focuses on organic elements with drum samples. It contains modern sounds such electronic down-tempo, future bass, and hip-hop, which makes the music sound old and new at the same time. With heavy sampling of African chants and sound generated from other tribes, this is production will bring more flavor and enjoyment--it's like Africa to your Ears.

Description : After a major uphill battle completing this song and turning it into what it is now, I feel some amount of satisfaction. It was like reality wanted me to give up or something. It's done... phew... Have updated this almost completely, from repatching the modular bass, playing some guitar parts, adding electric piano and synth lead, redoing and tuning the DW-6000 synth, of course adding my vocals, and mixing and mastering. It really has become pretty new wave, like much of my stuff does recently. Have added the lyrics as well. I am proud and happy with it, and I hope you all enjoy listening! UPDATE... woohoo just broke 1000 plays on this track here at looperman!

Hey finally here with a new track! I'm not sure what to call this other than electronic, due to the high tempo. This is the first song finished using my interface which allows direct MIDI control of my modular synthesizer. The mid frequency bass part is all from that patch. There are tracks designed with my Zoom RT-123 drum machine, the microkorg, and the circuit bent KORG DW-6000. Other than that it is just a kick and snare drum sample, and a a quick vocal snippet. So I guess it's fairly minimal in that respect. Would like to hear the Looperman community's thoughts on this song! Thank you for listening

Description : The answer to Close Encounters is Hymn Of The Pleiades. This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. Track was recorded, mixed and mastered using Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 software. Results were achieved by using a FATA Studio 90 MIDI keyboard ran through a E-MU Proteus 2000 sound module, - for the phat funky bass synth. I also used a KORG O5R/W sound module for the retro lead synth parts and ambient sound pads.
I utilized what was essentially a old school Hip Hop drum track, arranged and beefed it up for that extra umh! I greatly appreciate all the positive feedback the track has garnered thus far. Keep listening and by all means, your comments are much welcomed... thanks.
