Description : Work and other commitments prevent me being as active on looperman as I used to be...there a bonus for you all!! but I do appreciate the feedback here, so I am currently working on my new stuff, whilst remixing some of my earlier tracks taking on board previous comments. This is my 2015 re-working of soothing sea, including vocals....love or hate, as usual your comments on improvements gratefully received!..and it does feature my keyboard skills..or lack of them again. thanks, Mark

Well it's snowing here today so this is a good injection of sunshine into an otherwise cold day. Like what you've done with the vocal. It fits perfectly and the sounds you've built around it are top notch. Nice touch with the bird song as well. I'm wishing i was at a cafe by the beach sipping back a mojito or something. Great atmospherics, great selection of instruments and well mixed.
This track rocks!!!

larrywiggles1 replied 4th Feb 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi FR,
Thank you as always, its stopped snowing now but I hope you are still chilled, and thinking of joining you by the beach! above all comments like this from you just mean an awful lot, so I am so pleased...thanks FR appreciated so so much.
My very best wishes and take care.

hi. firstly excellent vocals here. there's a some radio station called ChilliZet playing exactly that kind of music here in poland 24/7. overall a great combination of loops - I do not think I will reach that very stage of radio oriented chillout, some of my tracks are really chilled though. Niiice work. Alex

larrywiggles1 replied 4th Feb 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi Alex,
thank you for listening and liking, I will try and have a listen to Chillizet too. I am sure your tracks are good, I am going to have a listen now. Thanks again for taking time to listen and for your great comments.
Best wishes,
Mark

AnalogDisc 2nd Feb 2015 20:30 - 11 years ago

First i thought this will be another chillout track with good vibes and waves, but when I heard the vocal it`s not good it`s awesome! The vocals could use some reverbs, but it`s a little aftertouch I think! Nice work there! cheers!

larrywiggles1 replied 4th Feb 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi AD,
Thank you, and correct a little reverb is needed, but I am so pleased that you like it, the vocals were a nightmare to work in , but apart from the reverb I think they worked. thanks for the listen and your constructive comments, they are so much appreciated.
My very best wishes,
Mark

Hey Mark, nicely done. Just the thing I needed to add to my coffee this morning to get the day started out right! Beautiful composition, well thought out, and perfectly delivered. Chilled as chilled can be :) Outstanding effort. I hope all is well.

Just a little thing that I noticed - at the 5 second mark, I think the sound of the waves is a little choppy. A small fade-in will fix it. But dang, I really like the airiness and relaxation this song bring.

larrywiggles1 replied 2nd Feb 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi Epic,

Tanks for having another listen, and spot on.. A bit too sharp, will fade in waves in.
thanks again,

Mark

Hi,
what can I say except just a really massive thank you, I loved doing the original of this but it was messy and I wanted the remix to work better, so to get a comment like this really is fantastic, so glad you liked and so very much appreciated.
Very best wishes,
Mark

crucethus 28th Jan 2015 20:39 - 11 years ago

Mark, this is just fabulous. really nice production, love the ambient intro. Love the instrumentation. Then that sweet vocal. Cascading piano is a nice touch. Then that sax,. Bass is pushing the upper limits of my speaker in the mix, maybe back it down just a smidge.. Stereo shore washing sound is nice as well. Thenb a hint of blues like guitar. The drums are nicely eq'd and compressed. Every instrument sounds so clear and concise though I really like this Mark. The groove had me moving up and down in my chair. Fav'd for sure. great job
Steve

larrywiggles1 replied 29th Jan 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi Steve,
I could not have wished for more, to receive a comment like this is so so gratifying and I mean that sincerely, and from some one as talented as you more so. As an humble looper with some keyboard skills,I thank you so much, Cheers Steve, so glad you enjoyed. PS Crucethus being played on my Belter Radio show this weekend.
Take care Steve, and my best wishes,
Mark

Danke 28th Jan 2015 12:05 - 11 years ago

Brilliant!
Amazing!
One of your best!
The groovy, the bass synth, the pads, the sax and the guitar are all wonderfully executed...
The vocs are stunning too, though if I were you I would put minimal reverb on her...
Huge congrats Mark, this could be your winner one!!!

Respect, Danke

larrywiggles1 replied 28th Jan 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi Danke,
a really really massive thank you, this is one track I wanted to remix and to and hopefully improve, so to receive these sort of comments from you as made my day, thank you again, so much appreciated.
Hopefully speak soon and my very best wishes,
Mark

Tumbleweed 28th Jan 2015 03:05 - 11 years ago

whatever it was you did worked a treat Mark...nice production values here...vocal exactly where it should be to my tastes...that sax around 2:30 is great...bit of a jazzy/late night vibe...it seemed like a fast 5 min listen so you had to nail the composition/arrangement really well...neat little guitar bits by the way (nice contrast with the horns & vox)....This is top notch mate...you can out this one on premanent file now.,,,its done...& done really well.....Good to see you found a little time to stop back around the place...really enjoyed this one....Ed

larrywiggles1 replied 28th Jan 2015 - 11 years ago

ahhh thanks Ed,
like us all I suppose I just seem to be juggling time lately, so I haven't been as active on looperman as I would have liked to have been, but I have been going through some of my earlier stuff and remixing some of it, as well as working on new tracks which I am hoping to get out soon. this one was a big test and I really am so pleased you liked it, it does mean an awful lot, hope all is well with you and speak again soon
Take care Ed and my very best wishes.

dansjoy4 27th Jan 2015 22:39 - 11 years ago

Great work you have here Mark! Good to have you back on looperman. Nice vocals as well. Who is that? Love the horns and sea sound effects. Great guitar too. The only thing is at the beginning around the 49 sec. mark it seem to got off track a little but smoothed out. Over all solid piece of work you have here! B-)

larrywiggles1 replied 28th Jan 2015 - 11 years ago

Hi Dan,

thank you, and had another listen..yes a little tweak needed there at 49 good spotting!! will sort that, but really pleased you like.
thanks,
Mark
