Description : It uses a couple samples from the site like the intro noise, and sadly the girl vocalist isn't mine either, but everything else is mine.
I hate that its pretty similar to my other track, I'll upload something completely different soon, I promise :P

first of all, i think the tune is great!
although i do agree with Alividlife, once the mastering is done, it will be a masterpiece :)
as Alividlife says droping the Db will help loads, also i believe you should learn to equalize the frequencies, this will further counter the clipping and/or overlapping.
personally i find it easiest to solo your melodies and use a frequency analyzer plugin, to get a clearer view of what frequency range each part of your tune is running at. and based on that you can figure out where parts a conflicting, and if they are conflicting you then adjust the certain part using an EQ plugin.
having said this, it is important that you do the research, because there is always more to learn :)
hope that helps!
anyways, good luck, and... yep im also a fan :) very chilled sounds and catchy melodies here, can't wait to here the collab!!!
The decibel is commonly used in acoustics to quantify sound levels relative to some 0 dB reference. The reference level is typically set at the threshold of perception of an average human and there are common comparisons used to illustrate different levels of sound pressure.
Ok.... SOOOO!!!!
I know that your reply is, "".... ehhhhhhhh???""
You are clipping in certain freqs... The bass, and the synth.. to my ears...
And, what this article fails to point out, is that when something meets the 0db it fails to register correctly, and becomes......
You are peaking at +1 or "something" DB's.
I say "something" because.. there's really no way to tell, it is surpassing what is "audible".... Some stuff can peak and sound great! like some vocals and stuff.. guitars, mainly mid-range.
Basically... when You clip.. you are distorting.. I am a guitarist... (looks at avatar)... soo, just be careful... LISTEN.... ALL A musician has (and I don't give a shit if all you do is loop) is USE YOUR EARS!, and honestly... it is a known statement used between music engineers,
"Mastering your own stuff is like taking your sister to the prom"
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!
Many of us do it here every date... lmao... soo....
It's nice to have someone that has musical taste and listen to your tracks, and tell you what you can do, and can't do///errr!!! SHOULDN'T do. k??
if you have any hopes of going anywhere with music.. You gotta do the research.
Please don't stop doing this style tho!... This is Great!!!
You have a new fan here!
I do think that your levels are just on the verge of being PERFECT! But if you listen very closely to some of the synths and MAYBE your bass drums are clipping..
Just subtle crackles. It's called digital distortion..
I don't know about how much you know about mastering, and I hope I am not offending you, because this sounds great!
Just that you are clipping, just a little bit.
I know close to nothing about mastering, and have no idea how to get rid of what I now know is called digital distortion. hahaha.
Offending? pfffffft, no way, i'd just like to know how to fix it :)
Hey, I would love to do vocals to this track instrumental without the other lady vocals. The melody fits me. If you would like to do a collabo please let me know. Otherwise, I love the track. Its very chill and puts you in a cool chillzone.
That sounds awesome :)
If you give me an email address or some way to get the track to you I can remove the female vocal pan and you can do whatever you like to it and send it back.
Also, my email address is Superpseudonym@yahoo.com if you need to contact me :)
Also, I was in the process of fixing the weird pitch on the female vocal pan, I understand its oddness now after hearing it a few more times :P
I love everything you're doing, but i think the pitch on the vocals around 1:20 could be a little lower....i think it's just my taste - regardless it still fits, just seems 'off' i guess...for lack of a better term/phrase. Both of your tracks are awesome. They're entrancing but simple. Keep it up, would love to hear more :3

This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

like one or something...
most music is inbetween -6db's and -3dbs...
(Really well polished music sounds like it is -1 db)
