Awesome track Badhuman! It has a really cool vibe to it. The guitars sound great. The mix sounds good too. Nice work.

Wow I am star dazed, this is really great. I like the guitar panning. My only thing is to me it ended and now I have to replay it again.:) Outstanding job. Peace.

Wow mate superchill!! Is that Eshar's golden tones at the beginning?
This is so laid back and a joy to listen to! its a shame its only 2 mins long!! I think you should have made it at least 5!! This is wonderful. You cant beat a Rhodes for chill out. and a bit of funky wah giutar!! Beautiful.

Eshar it is! The Rhodes is one of the greatest instruments ever invented. Rivals the electric guitar in innovations that have changed the world. Someday I might expand this track. It should have been longer.

The bass guitar is a very special treat on this.

String holding at 1:09 is a bit tiresome after about 10 seconds, then holds for another 40.

I don't mind the high end hiss, noticed but not minded. Mostly just that held note that could have been an underlying second melody.

Thanks for listening and commenting. Yeah it is a bit tiresome after about 10 seconds. Not gonna win an Emmy with it for sure. I was channeling a 1976 Univox String Machine and once you get that sound going it's hard to stop. If I felt it was worth it I'd go back in and tighten the mix up. It is what it is. Thanks for listening.

Really cool track. Has that 70s vibe to it. Yeah, I've used Eshar's loops before and I do love them, but the quality always bugged me. All and all...Good job.

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. I know what your talking about with the recording quality of Eshar's loops but that may be the thing that draws me to them. When I hear that loop I think it's beautiful. Here's another track I made with an Eshar loop. Check it out: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/35189
Thanks again.

I agree the extra noise on the pella does add interesting character and I thought it blends with this type of quality instrumental. The layering is a cool part of this track. The guitars make it a chill and how its played pulls curiosity in like a distraction scene. Nice man, thanks.

Interesting stuff.

Shame about all that noise on the vocal. Wish you could remove that using EQ or specific noise removal software.

Damn solid bass tone and a busy bassline you have here.

Some classic electric piano parts. Very much a modern r'n'b drum kit.

0:49 your high metallic noise is kind of cool but a bit too loud and sharp and piercing. Just needs to be toned down.

1:08 break is good with that held strings note.

1:28 guitar return is funky.

This isn't my kind of thing but it's all well done. Final wah note ending is fun but it cuts off too soon. Maybe you can let it ring out a bit?

Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment.

The noise on the vocal spoke to my soul.

The "high metallic noise" is called a Triangle. Fun to play and can be found in most good percussionists arsenal. Back that treble down or somebody could get hurt. :)

The final wah note...eh, up for interpretation. I was using it to kinda put the brakes on and keep continuity with it's other appearances in the song.

Pretty chilled out smooth jazz. Sounds like Eshar's pella but I could be wrong. I like it, has a nice vibe. Nicely put together.

That's who it was. I couldn't remember. Eshar's loop at the beginning. I used one other of Eshar's on a track I did called "Little Jag" People complain about the noise on Eshar's pellas but on certain tracks the lack of quality lends itself to the character of the track. I kinda dig how messed up it is.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...
