Description : This is my newest song, and at least to myself [and my roommate who was forced to hear every little bit over and over and over and over....] is possibly my best work to date. Eq'ing techniques I recently just found out [which I should have known YEARS ago] helped a lot with taking my tracks from sounding like a wall of sound to what you hear now, everything having their freqs cut out for them; no more fighting to be heard!

I digress, here is Solar Flare! Let me know what you think! I would love to hear what you guys have to say!

i like the track...good job...but for my taste the EQing is a bit overdone...some synths sounds very high pass filtered...no mid-freqs at all...and bass is a bit drowning...make sure to give the synths a bit more room...dont cut too much off with EQing...it makes your mix lifeless...
dont get me wrong...thats a very good track...it only needs a good mix :)

I look over what i have done with the Eq'ing. As far as drowning on the bass, what exactly do you mean? Too much bass or just muddy or what? The synths i don't recall have a lot of cut in the mids but i do know they have a lot of high end. The only real cutting i did was nothing except the bass and drums went below 200hz.

Thank you for the input though. I'll definitely be going back over this song and rechecking everything!
