This track is amazing! Great job on the vocal Janis and the composition is wonderful! Groovy soulful music!

janis71 replied 13th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

"Soulful" is a qualificative that goes straight to my heart and I thank you very much for it, Malfunk .
"Merci beaucoup" :D
Cheers

ScottFranco 10th Dec 2013 16:28 - 12 years ago

You know I had to check out your track and, as always, really enjoyed it. I love a Hammond organ, even though it is considered 'vintage' and not used much, now a days. If I were to make a suggestion, maybe a lead run of some kind would break it up a bit. Possibly sax, guitar, or even continue your organ for a few measures.

You're still one of my favorite vocalist, here!

Cheers,
Scott

janis71 replied 13th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Hi Scott :)
I totally agree with about a breaking the track up a bit . It's still a bit tough for me as I'm not a musician and do much things by instinct . I tried a solo in my next upload, following your piece of advice ( thanks ! ) .
Many thanks for your instructive and gentle words . They honour me a lot :D
Cheers and "bises" as we say here .

Darkreine 8th Dec 2013 08:47 - 12 years ago

Ah Carole you make me smile every time I hear your voice. Jazz has never really been my thing, but you are bringing me around to it. Exceptional work as always my friend.

K;)

janis71 replied 13th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Wow Kenny ! You're too good to me, Sir !!
It makes me real happy if you enjoyed the experiment, my friend !
T'was my first attempt at it . I tagged it "jazz" but I'm not sure it is, in fact .
Don't say such things to the very average musician I am ... he he
Thx a lot for your very nice words,
Take care, Kenny

Wow! I am diggin the raw energy of this track! I love the throwback to the 70's synths. Nice the way the rhythm section drops out at the end. Wonderful!

Love & Light,

Mykael

Love the keys, they really set a mood right from the beginning. Wonderful lead vocals and great backups. It has that 70's rnb, jazzy feel, just perfect. Great job, it's always a pleasure to listen to your creations!

Wayne

janis71 replied 8th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

janis71 replied 8th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Gros bisous !!

Enjoyable sounds Janis71, good message and a bit hypnotic. Nice! Thanks for the listen. Peace.

janis71 replied 8th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Thx Dave for talking about the message . I wanted to make something filled up with energy and positivism, like a boosting love declaration in a way . I thank you for the careful ear you lent to this little thing .
Do take care, my good friend
xo

Danke 5th Dec 2013 19:49 - 12 years ago

Cool funky, bluesy, jazzy pop...:-) if I'm a DJ in a local radio station, it would be one of the top hit every day in rotation...very groovy as it is recorded live...your voice is amazing in this style, too...do I remember well, this is your first jazzy tune?

Thanx dear Lady, Danke

janis71 replied 8th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Hi Attila :)
Nothing's live in this, I made it all by loops but I'm delighted you felt a live touch in it !
It reminds me of the time when I played in bars with my friends . We would often jam on jazzy-moody blues things late at night after the "concert" .
Anyway, I'm very happy you liked it and thank you very much fro your warm words, my friend .
'Hope everything's fine for you,
Take care,
Bises
