hey nice to meet you! you are very talented.
haven't had a chance yet to listen to all of your tracks but so far i am impressed!
i also like rainy days (they are the best!), reading, coffee and i am addicted to IT.
plus i find that epic cinematic scores are awesome.
that being said, i am not gonna lie to you: you seem very likeable! :D
i will keep an eye (or ear) on you, hope that is ok :))

Aww! Thanks for your words. I saw your profile, but I couldn't understand most of it 'cause I speak spanish, and my english is not perfect. It's a pity.
Anyway, it's great to meet someone who likes rainy days, reading and coffe too. Love those things. Specially with music in my headphones. Could be Mozart, or David Lanz, or Yiruma. When you combine all that, it's the paradise on earth. Well, it's the paradise for me.
Love cinematics tracks, 'cause there's more freedom than another genres. It's my opinion only.
And... about my "likeability"... ehm... I hope you mean about my personality and so on.
Nevermind! I'm a little crazy hehehe :P
Thanks for listening and coment! :D

There's a lot of goodness going on in this piece. I like how it moves, keeps evolving, doesn't get stuck and doesn't get boring. I like the early break and the use of silence (I like doing that, too). And then I like how the new section is very different from the first, yet somehow consistent with it. I love the voice. But I do think - since you described this as epic - that it could have been more epic with perhaps a bigger build, a layering of vocals, maybe rising in pitch, toward a climax. The comment right above this one I'm writing mentions that the resolution could be stronger and I agree. As I said, there's a lot of goodness in this, but I want to be knocked off my feet a little harder by the end.

SoraSolitudine replied 6th Jul 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks for your words. And, yes... you're right about the end of the song. I'll tell you the same I said to the comment below: I was going to add an explosion sound at the end, but I'd already added it in the middle of the song. Sorry if the end is boring and weak. I'll keep your advice in mind and I'll try to improve. Thanks for the criticism and for listening!

(Sorry, my english is not perfect. I speak spanish).
Thanks!

I like it ...intense!...but hopeful...nice movement too!...resolution at end could have been a little stronger though.
SoraSolitudine
SoraSolitudine replied 6th Jul 2013 - 12 years ago
Yes, I think so, too. Actually, I was going to add an explosion sound at the end, but I'd already added it in the middle of the song. So, I thought it would be "repetitive", and for that reason I didn't put the sound.
Thanks for listening!

Description : 4!_(07@2nd) harmonic protocol reboot sequence

This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.

Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”
Genre: Cinematic
Tags: papico, Cinematic, Piano, feedback, choral washes, choir, harmonica, guitar, dgalantic- starting over, thatjeffcarter-feedback, dcmack- 2 bass drums 1,2 and 4, nightingale-angels, inner light, never and never, diving deep, eshar-7th dimension, steelyvibe- luno frunezo, rasputin1963-soul ladies gospel riff, reggae soul girls choir, Vietnam War newsreel

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...

Description : I'm going to file this under Cinematic. It's quite a dark and brooding track, maybe suitable for a Sci Fi film? I kept things simple with this, used a few loops as building blocks, then added some synths (Vital and Z3ta+ vst's). Probably a bit different to the other tracks I've uploaded so far? But I like a bit of variety. Feel free to download or comment. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Description : It's been a long time since I posted a track.

Voyager...
I wanted to go with something very spacey. Huge sci-fi fan, from anime to cheesy 60's B movies. I didn't want something all dystopian. It's been done. So, I kinda thought I would make something about a lonely space traveler. I named the track after the Voyager I space satellite. The 'Voyager' in my head(vision?) was just an astronaut. But, he watches the earth die. The last person alive scenario. Hard to imagine what the last person alive would have in his head....

Track Detail - Sequenced in Reason 4. Nothing on this is a real instrument. The intro pad is a weird little Malstrom patch with a envelope filter and chorus. The chorus module is cv modulated non synced so its kind of wild. The first pluck instrument is a Koto. It's not played the way it should so it sounds more like an acoustic guitar. The violins are a Mellotron patch. The acoustic guitar isn't a preset patch but was made using Reason's other presets. I like that patch. Could of tried recording a guitar but I found that mock up to be alright. Other sounds were some weird modulated textures made with Thor. Drums were just samples that were filtered and pitched to fit. Kick and snare played off my Axioms pads. Hats were in a Redrum module.

Listen and enjoy. If you don't like it, leave me violent feedback lol. Cheers :D
