Chill Out

9.68 MB

Description : This track started as an easy listening lounge kind of track. When I put in JJ Weekz's vocals, it turned into another direction. Next to JJ Weekz, I used vocals of Shamoozey and a flute solo by Mhyst. Thanks to you all for this!

I am not sure if the vocals go together very well, but I liked the atmosphere of the combination. I received feedback on the drums, they could be spiced a bit from the second part of the track on. Let me know your thoughts, I'm very willing to learn.

Best, Doc

Professional music, vocs and mix...amazing track...I wanna learn the mix from you man...I imagine a live soft bass under it, would be nice...only an idea...
Congrats, Danke

DrvanLansberg replied 4th Dec 2013 - 12 years ago

Danke danke! I have not tried the soft bass yet. Will do so in the weekend. About the mix, I am no professional by any means, just try to use my ears :-). Thanks for the big compliment though!

FullCapicityMuzic 16th Jun 2013 19:28 - 13 years ago

Shamoozey's voice sounds at home here. JJWeekz' vocals sound Jill Scott flavor-ish, not out of place at all.

The muzic is very well put together ear candy, good sounds and very relaxing.

Good job on this.

DrvanLansberg replied 17th Jun 2013 - 13 years ago

Yeah! I really wouldn't know what to do without you vocalists! I am sure that a lot of producers (or just hobby music freeks, like me) would not be able to put their tracks together without vocals of any kind.

Thanks for your compliments. Means a lot coming from you.

Best, Doc

This is great! The combination of vocals is perfect! Excellent music too! Good mixing! Well done!

DrvanLansberg replied 17th Jun 2013 - 13 years ago

Many thanks Spiv! Both for the listening and the feedback. Much appreciated.

JJWeekz 16th Jun 2013 00:27 - 13 years ago

Wow this is so cool! I always dread posting rap because usually it is not mixed very well with music (not to be mean to others, but it's just an observation). You mixed this very well, Shamoozey sounds awesome too, and of course the music is befitting and has a happy feel to it

DrvanLansberg replied 16th Jun 2013 - 13 years ago

Thanks for your comment! It was a lot of fun working with your vocal. And honostly, do more of these raps, it suits you very well.

Description : I'm gonna file this under Drum and Bass due to the beats I used. Though it's probably not DnB in the strictest sense of the word, as it starts off with a Cinematic vibe till the beats kick in (apologies for that, as I don't have a vast knowledge of DnB!). Apart from the beats and a couple of other loops, all synth/bass parts are played by me using ThornCM, Poly Max and Z3ta+ vst's. Let me know what you think? All feedback is always appreciated. Thanks.

Description : Technology is a great thing. But I'm glad to know that if it ever fails ... or simply isn't there ... I can always play my guitar or drums, or just sing. In any case, the power didn't go out during this production ... so it's electric. And eclectic.
