Description : I made this simple little blue/jazz groove with the drums and Upright Bass.

The BPM is 60 and in 4/4 time and I believe the bass is in Eminor. Enjoy

Like this a lot. Should be played in a smoke filled basement bar where the drinks are tight and the ladies are loose.

LOL... If only this kind of music had the same allure it once had on people. But the ambiance you have described would be most ideal for this setting. Now do you know any good piano/solo brass/solo saxophone VST?

I'd like it better if I could hear the upright bass better, maybe turn it up or the drums down?

Otherwise, good job.

I am in complete agreement with you. I realized that right after I uploaded it. I will definitely go back and really master the mix and maybe add a few things and really work on the melody. Thanks for the critique.

Later,
Erick

It was tricky to get this to sounds right but I was going for a 6/8 drum grove like you guessed, but I wanted it to fit in a 4/4 time signature. You will hear that the snare hit is exactly on the 2 and 4 count. And the kick drum hit is on 1 and 3 with the last hit on the "4 and" count at the end of each measure. Now the ride hits where the most difficult. By making 3 hits per beat. I achieved this by placing the hits on the 1, "2 and", and "3 and" count. Though the third hit I dragged a bit for increased tension and a little style. I hoped this helped and thanks for comments Danke.

Description : Did you ever have those days when you are totally distracted? You find yourself switching from one thing to another due to overwhelm - say hallo to 'ADHD' But this time we could focus on the song and used some loops from Hysteria and Bigishi. And a big thanks to James who did help us with the guitars. (He was in the mood for blues :-) We are on Bandcamp as kayos2 Tell us what you think of this track....

Description : One another guy who ordered this track then didn't pay and doesn't respond to my messages.

Boogie crossover (its just a fragment), every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.

Almost 8 hours of work.

Description : so having been inspired by our girl Rita singing the blues I threw myself in and had a go, i went at it with full gusto, i think soul, blues are hard to hit because the singers always have fantastic voices lush females and deep soulfull males with great baratone vocals, i obviously don't have the greatest voice, but you gotta have belief in yourself first, yes i put emotion into my lyric delivery so this was a stretch, its less Teddy Swimms more dimestop sings :)) i'm sure you'll let me know

Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!

Description : Hopefully it is the first song of an imaginary album that I will call "Diverse waves". I believe the title of this "album" will keep me focused on a style that incorporates and blends various musical elements for the pleasure of our ears.
I really hope you will like the results of this attempt.

Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.

Enjoy and download away.

Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.

Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.

Description : Been away for a while. I am doing something I usually don't do with this one. Here is a blues track I put together in a day. It features everything being done by me, with improvised solos for each instrument. This was done using Fl Studio 12 and my Korg M50 keyboard. I plan on adding lyrics to it down the road and having everything much cleaner. Anyhow, enjoy!

Which Solo did you guys like best?

Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...

Description : I asked Ed (Tumbleweed) to sit in on this blues number with some lead guitar work and as always, he did not disappoint.
This is a fun, laid back blues boogie woogie song.
