whos to blame ?....i am, as in a society thats fallen from its morel chosen standard's into a world of hate,selfishness,shamelessness,uncaring- only out for-not you,
thanks to you and bear....at lest you ask the question...
because life is just not about music ... (sorry for my rant)
Wow those are some deep lyrics, very moving. As far as your voice, DANG! You remind me of erykah badu, for real. I look forward to hearing more from you, Patricia.
Peace
Aw ... This is blissful . Made me shiver all along . Bear's music + your voice + the lyrics = an amazingly impressive song ...
Many thx to you both,
God bless the two of you,
xo
Wow Patricia, I didn't know that you had used this piece of Bear's. I was moved to write something for this too and posted it a few days ago here: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/143509
Your version is far superior! What an amazing job you've done here. Thanx for re posting.
excuse me for this late commenting, but when I found this track feat from 2 instructive musician in looperman there were no way to don't listen to it for me .about music I just can say that I'll try to learn from Bear and I've really admired him in all his trax, and also untold it's obvious that you sing professional & this package(you+bear)makes a perfect package & welldone track.but, after all these sentences , I wanted to say, living in middleast & war (I've born in war-Iran vs Iraq-1980) makes me want to appreciate every musician who they care about silence, humanity, children & try to use music opposite to violence.so I should have an exclusive appreciation for this one from middle east.best wishes & regards.___Behnam.
Hi Ms Patricia...well, what can I say that hasn't already been said....you both work so well together..this is just beautiful...your vocals are amazing as everyone knows, and Mr Bear just knows his Sh*t lol...congrats to the both of you.
Patricia, I'm such an idiot (must be old age). I didn't know you had posted this as well (I'm glad you did). So, my apologies for not coming by sooner and thanking you again for such a wonderful job you did on the vocals for this. You are a rare talent, and I'm so glad you so generously share that talent on my projects. You really are the best.
I was humbled by this when I first heard it, and feel the same way now as I listen to it for the several hundredth time. Thanks again for gracing this one with your gifts. I hope all is well.
I posted it on Soundcloud as well http://soundcloud.com/patriciaedwards/whos-to-blame, and share the link occasionally on Facebook, it's up to 1169 plays, probably someone who has it on repeat...but at least it's being listened to I gueess :-)
One song at a time, we can all make a difference! Thanks Mr. Bear :-)
Been so long but your voice only got more powerful and better =D im glad you made it to the point where u are now u deserve it bravo and Amazing song the Words have a lot of emotion and power behind them congratulations job well done =)
I left a few comments over on Bear`s page....so let me just say..I don`t think there is anyone who could have so perfectly conveyed the feelings...emotion...like you have done here patricia....Ed
amazing voice, but you know that in the meantime I guess ... ;-)
very strong lyrics!!!! impressive ...
but the arrangement, hmmm, let me say it this way: for me it seems to be a very long intro, I was waiting for the song to start ... the part where your rage or your desperation becomes hearable, but nothing happend ... I think this words have so much power, and this should be to feel in this song ... that's what I missed.
I'm no native English speaker, so I hope you can understand what I want to say ... ;-)
deeply moved by this response to the Newtown tragedy. your voice keeps getting better and better, and your artistry evolves. keep on inspiring us. thanks.
Description : A track I did with a friend ages ago. I play the guitar and he sang and wrote the lyrics. The lyrics came mostly from headlines in the newspaper that sunday. Recorded using a crappy old microphone direct into cubase with a few overdubs
Description : NOTICE: this song is made ONLY FOR NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. Contains an emulation of a TM legendary song (send to the original authors, i add them on Fb time ago).
This is a surprise, for those was young in 1999, for the beloved Patricia (and the gift of her voice) and my brothers Nous2 and Jamid, kind people i met here. Let's go crying guys, hope you enjoy.
Description : There were two separate tracks in work, but who knows why I got tired with them and then decided to merge them (or at least what left from them) into one piece hence they originate out of same musical purpose. No worries...no world war was ment here, except my recent personal one...haha...and you don't want to know about it.:) It's not real etude by any means, yet it's quite alot about practicing...practicing...

Description : Remastered March 2023. Recorded live on two mics. For my wee daughter Tui; I wrote it sitting on the bathroom floor, keeping her company while she was in the bath....
Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
Description : A rhythm guitar track I made and sent to my cousin on the East Coast. Made with Tape-A-Talk app. from the Google Play Store. Download and collaborate with it.
Description : My very first acoustic piece in quite a while..
I hope someone grabs this and puts some vocals to it.
The software I used is Reaper, Addictive Drums and Gearbox.
Hardware is a Jackson RR3 plugged into a Line 6 Pod X3..
Description : Thats my newest Track all made out of free vst of the dsk series. Its a kind of chill out acoustic string thing that makes me thinking. Its very calm, inspirational and gives me power...
thanks to you and bear....at lest you ask the question...
because life is just not about music ... (sorry for my rant)
