Description : Trent lent out his aural goodies in the form of .als files to let us remix! Here is my version of "Me, I'm not".
Description : Hello all!
I haven't posted any tunes recently, so i figured I'd put something out to let you know I haven't disappeared. I just got Ableton 8 and had to play around with it. This is a little beat I made today, nothing special. Just a distorted glitchy rap beat. Download it and put some lyrics over it, laugh at it, smear me in the review section, do whatever you want. I'll be posting again soon. Also look forward to a collab between 5ketch and I.
Description : I had some samples laying around so I decided to make a house track. Not really my style, but I thought I'd share.
Description : this is a remix of my house track. I played around with it a little more until about 2:30. Should I keep messing with this?
Description : Due to popular request I will finally (and reluctantly) be giving my tracks names. This is a little downtempo track I was working on this morning. More like just playing around in AL8. Anywhozzle tell me if you like it. or if you don't.
Description : a dubstep track I was working on. needs a little more work but thought I'd post something.
Description : This is a little track I have been tinkering with. I think it would be considered breakbeat but if you think it should be labeled differently let me know. I am hungry for reviews so please comment! Good or bad. I am curious about the bass especially, Thanks for listening!
Description : All of this was made with unedited loops from looperman!!! Props to all of you loopers! All Ableton just had a few beers and played around in the session view. Its not really finished, but it's fun.
Description : this one is even more confusing then the piano one and I feel like it's not really on point. I like the choppiness... i dunno. Your thoughts? all ableton, mixed midi and a few loops.
Description : i uploaded this one because I was able to create a drum track, and am at a loss as what sort of bassline to bring in. Any suggestions? All in ableton 7, mostly loops.
Description : Second coming of this one, i was fooling around with it today. Should I split it up like GirlSonic suggests? Or just make some ridiculous/dizzy track. I kind of feel like I am producing like a dj. Are there too many cuts? do I make it too complex and unstable? Any suggestions are appreciated! ian
Description : This is one i made today, i guess to prove that i can make something other then drum and bass. I was going for that requiem for a dream feel. it's kinda simple, maybe I'll add more to it. let me know what you think.
Description : Me screwing around again. Completely unfinished. Constructive criticism appreciated! (round two of this one)
Description : A real short track I made today, not really trance but I don't know what to call it.
Description : I gave the track a little mixing and effects, little modulation of the synths. Feedback always encouraged!!
Description : Heres a little dowtempo tune I made, just really simple and atmospheric. Reviews always appreciated!!
Description : A track I played with for the Erykah Badu remix contest. I used a looperman loop and made some glitch effects. Comments encouraged!
Description : A little downtempo number I made, all midi. Reviews encouraged!
Description : I made this as an exercise in separation and imaging. It turned into a track. Comments (+ or -) encouraged!!
Description : Sorry, I must have clicked on the wrong file to upload. I guess probably because they are all named 0808... anyway:
A track I started today, inspired by a conversation with 5ketch. Hard Dnb, just started it today but I made an mp3 so I figured I'd post it any see what you guys think. So obviously reviews appreciated!
Description : A little drum and bass track I started the other day, not finished of course, but thought I'd upload it and get your opinion. The little vocal sample comes (permission allowed) from Shannon Hurley. Check her out at www.myspace.com/shannonhurley
Description : A track I started today, I got to 2:40 and called a day. Was seeing what you thought so far
Description : A little ditty i conjured up this afternoon. I just got reason (3 unfortunately) and am trying to learn it. In the meantime I have been recording sounds from reason and importing them into reason (rewire will not work, crashes the programs?? any advice?). I really don't like reason's sequencer for some reason. Anyways, hoping this will help a little bit on the quality and get me closer to the sound that I want. This is obviously a work in progress, but I wanted the looperman critique on the general sound quality (is the bass muddy, etc.) I only have 6.5" woofers (Samson Rubicon 6a's) and am curious what the response is on larger woofers. Anyway, just another track I am working on, expect better things to come! After listening to my first track (not posted thank god!) I realize how far I have come in just a few months, and I have to say I would probably not be doing so well if it weren't for this wonderful community!!! (5ketch I promise to work on our collab track soon, but I think learning reason first might help) ok, I think I have used enough parenthesis for a day
Description : Second edit, messed around with the drums a bit
Description : Second upload of this one. I didn't master it or anything, but played around with it a little. Let me know what you think!
