Right now I hate my headphones!!!
Would so want to listen to this on decent speakers - there is so much going on in the soundscape and the mastering is excellent.
A very enjoyable piece, work of art, really.
thank you very much and sorry about your headphones :(
yes my friend Ray did a great job with the mastering, i am impressed. i literally sent him a 4.2GB zip with 45 wav stems and he mastered them without turning a hair and in an incredible speed an accuracy. i will forward all the love to him for sure!
Madness!!
And I enjoyed it immensely.
A very good driven beat and all the cool elements simply flowing through, nothing clashing - which really should be impossible with all those ingredients.
You need to give more individual titles to your tracks - I almost missed this one because I thouhgt that I already had heard it!
it is good to know you .
I am born in norway,particulary .
but my parents not .
what a difference does it make for you ?
i didn't expect such question from a scandinavian girl.
are you seriously originally scandinavian ?
Agreeing with Gzglitchers on that it's a really good track, it could very well be played in clubs (although I'm listening with headphones and can't tell if it would work equally well from big speakers, but maybe you got that covered already).
It could benefit from a cool vocal, to lift the soundscape even more, but that is of course hard to find.
Other than that, not much to say - cool work.
A very promising track from you, young man. ;)
Keep it up!
That's REALLY helpful!!
Thank you, I'm going to follow your advice right now and see what happens with the mix I'm currently struggeling with.

Listening to your track again and enjoying it a lot - you should get your track up in the featured tracks list - more people should hear this, you need some exposure!
It's a great tune.
Cheers/ SJ =)
I have a soft spot for drum and bass and this really is a good piece of that.
You are way ahead of me technically so can't say anyhing about missing frequensies, it sounds just awesome in my ears.
Thank you very much :) I appreciate the compliment!
I have a huge adoration for drum n bass, been a fan for years and probably more to come. THere's some great tune out there that dwarf mine, but I'm glad this is something you like :)
Thank you
OMG From 1:15!!!!!!!
Is there more to hear? That can't be the hole track and I want to hear the rest of it..
Your facebook link doesn't lead anywere at the moment by the way.
This has to be one of the best chilled songs ever on the Loop!
You are singing like a god.
Really nice with Farisha in the background and your voice lingering around hers - just awesome.
Very good instrumental from Brandon118 also.
This is hit material - get this tune out there!
yes...i mastered in FL...but i did not use FL tools for that...i used Ozone from Izotope...but you can also get good results from the FL tools...
important is the mix...the better the mix the better the master...
here some tips:
switch the limiter in the master channel off...thats bullshit you dont need that...when you open FL its always on...but it can ruin your mix...
then make sure you use an EQ for some sounds...for an example...if you have a piano with much bass in it cut the bass off with an EQ...but not too much so that the piano sounds lifeless...do the same with other sounds that could have too much bass in it...its mostly the bass that ruins your mix...
start mixing the kick and bassline first if your doing dance music...make sure the both are not fighting eachother...then go on with the rest...
at the end take a look at the master channel and make sure its about -6 db in maximum...use the master fader and move it down till you have the right level...
now render your track as a wav file...then open a new project...load your track...
now as we know...the limiter in the master channel is on again...set the gain to about 12 o'clock...now open maximus on the master channel...it has some presets for mastering...but you can also play around with it...
its a combination of limiter and maximus (compressor)...if you think your track needs a bit EQing then add an EQ...but dont overdo EQing...it can also ruin your track...
at the end make sure you dont have more than +-0.0 db master level...better is a little less like -0.3 db or so...it just makes sure there is no clipping...
learning by doing is the secret ;) i hope i could help a bit :)
thx for the listen...JW...
Hey SeriouslyJoking! thanks for the views and feedback :D! Yeah, tried to mix it up a bit with a sort of dubby feel at the start with the dissonance parts moving into a more progressiveish and jolly kinda build :-)!
This captured me somehow, listening for the third time now...
Cool melody, which strangely enough doesn't get boring although it's on repeat and I love the beat.
thanx a lot I really appreciate your comment this one will be on my r&b funk cd im doing 2 this year the other one being a mix of jazz techno and cosmic funk
Sorry for a late answer:
It's a really promising start, I can't think of anything to change in it really other than continuing the track. Make it longer!
*listening again*
Or you could maybe create more tension and realease in the soundscape with automation and EQ'n...I don't know the right terms for it nor do I ever manage to do a good job on it my self but I'm thinking about having the sounds float around and change troughout somehow, if that makes any sense.
Play with the frequencies.
That could be cool.
Nice "turn" there in the soundscape at 0:32, liked the sound of the synth coming in. It goes well with that vocal. Cool track over all, have really nothing interesting to say other than that.
Maybe the track would benefit from some kind o build up and release in the later part though?
I liked this.
Bring out your own vocals some more in the mix maybe?
A good instrumental though the beat gets a little boring to listen to in the end, maybe add more dynamic drums to get some action?
I wasn't sure about uploading this as i did it all on headphones so the mix probably isn't right but hey ho.
Glad you could drop by and leave your thoughts on the track.

It's the best piano VSTi you can get (in my opinion!) - it's called Ivory II.
I use it every day on everything from trance to film scores, and it comes with a load of perfect piano's including that one (Bosendorfer 290 concert grand). I used an Altiverb reverb on it (the preset was a rehearsal studio with distant mics).
It really needs a weighted keyboard as the midi input and a sturdy sustain pedal as the software responds very subtly to different finger pressures.

Have you mastered it in FL or did you use something else? Everything I do in FL sounds muffled in comparison with this, damn it.

Hörs!
