This would fit under the Nu-Disco Category. All the Cool (in the know) DJ-artists are also incorporating touches of acid-house TR-303 sounds (without overwhelming the mix) in their mixes. This has some of that aesthetic. Keep on progressing this sound, you are at the forefront of dance music at the moment my friend. Great Job, Awesome mix.

Wow Cru, thank you so much! The love you guys are giving me is really making my day! It's a wonderful feeling to be appreciated! Thanks for listening and I'm super stoked you enjoyed it! THANK YOU for the HUGE compliment!
Nice worked, you crammed the whole enchilada of funk sounds in this one. If U back down on the compressor just a small bit and enhance the dynamics it would be even better than the masterpiece it already is. ehh? (Canadian polite way of a question mark)
Love the retro sounds and the stereo separation. Well, mixed. And that guitar is scorching hot.
Cru
Hi crucethus,
thanks for the tip. I had fixed that compression problem already but did not know about the option to update tracks here. But I found out and uploaded this in better quality.
Thanks for your careful listening.
That note about the guitar made my day ;o)
I really like this, as it reminds me of my days going to see Mike Stern at the Blue note in NYC, and the opening jazz quartettes who made the night interesting. My only gripe is that the percussion is too bright and ably mixed. in those smoky clubs there is a familiar damped tone on the percussion and snares which makes it more attractive, almost seductive. But what a great musical ability you have here.
Cru
Ohh that intro. That sounds a bit like Ed´s Alessis in motion. Then the chord progression is sublime. I just finished a wine and cheese and baguette meal with the wife, and I stumbled upon this to wind the evening down. 4:41 is a well needed and perfectly placed breakdown. So very touched by this song tonight. Fav´ed and downloaded at this point, thanks for that.re-builds again. It does not disappoint. Those guitars at then end, is that ED? Brilliant work. and that ending on the bended g-tar string. awesome work my friend!

Hi Steve...pleasure to meet you after quite a long time. Been quite busy with other things lately. Well, would love to have Ed involved in that kind of thing, but I was completely on my own in this case. If there was a single note contributed by Ed, you can be sure I'd give him credits for that..:) I'm really happy for this positive feedback Steve...thank you so kindly !:) Also many thanks for the 'fav' and 'dl'...means alot !
I just listened. I like your Wifes voice on this track. Voice delivery has a ting of Les Rita Mitsouko style but without the deepness of timbre. I liked the song, I could hear that after 1:16 it needs to build a bit in intensity (using snares and some percussion) but that's the remixer side in me thinking out loud. Overall I really liked it.
Tres Bien,
Cru
Thank you for your comment.
Your Remixer side is a good side! The progression of my instrumental is something I have to work on but how? If you have advice I am interested!
In any case, thank you for the time you took to listen.
See you soon
I´m drinking right now listening to this one. Cool build up. I agree about the stabs, works well. Nice snare fills as well. Good chord progression musically as well. Nice drop at 2:16 to get back to the main melody. Good ending. well done.
Cru
Really cool, I don't even know what genre to put this one in. Sort of an ethnic electronic masterpiece. Sometimes the best work comes quicly. I agree with Joe, it needs a little more TLC, but really nice work.
Cru
I love how the mix starts in the middle, and adds such a depth as it grows. But I think the arpeggiated synth needs to be spread out wider. Cool creative work though. I loved what you were giving us.
Cru
I believe I had said I would keep my ear out for you. My only critique is that with using Diamond Stars vox, you should add a VST like Valhalla Uber Mod. (Vocal doubling), and I like the delays and verb U do have on the vox so please keep that. That would make this sound more like a finished pop tune, then as a demo as it sounds like now. But Otherwise great freaking tune and has so much potential.
Cru
Most interesting sound, good beat, and unique vox. Be careful of pan mixing the vocals too hard to one side or the other. You should always keep a bit on the other side as well, or as a reverb presence as it will create depth and keep the listener from freaking out on headphones. But there's some nice sounds and potential. Awesome drop ending.
Cru
Very nice, I like how it waxes and wanes in intensity. 2:10 is an awesome transition. Musically it's like a ballerina pirouetting on your ears with the soft arrangements. Try remixing this with less compression and more emphasis on the dynamics, and lower the percussion snare slaps in the mix, and you will start to approach the sound Bryan Ferry perfected in the eighties and nineties. Awesome sounds overall.
Cru
To answer your question. It´s too new a genre. Like Vapourware and the Darkwave genres. This is awesome and makes me want to go out and Buy a Yamaha DX1.
Awesome , Cru
Pushing Reggae well into the new century. I loved Sly & Robbie for doing that with Howie B, but Man, you got a new idea here, and it´s awesome.
loved it
Cru
Sweet intro, dreamy and with a pounding drumbeat. Always professional work from you Leon. This needs a nice moving bass on it, maybe even a fretless. That would take care of your friend Kargalarś opinion on the mix as it would balance out the frequencies. Great work as always.
