Yeah Mate, Full on Aceed! Creative way you melded those instruments. Captures the heart of the underground rave sound from back in the day with an awesome vocal arrangement. Loved it!
This has made my evening to know you both did some work together again. Love this arrangement. All the instruments just fit so nicely.
Cheers Leon. Well done!
The good: What I hear is an incredible ability to arrange music in a massively amazing way that is compelling to the listener, vocals and all. What I do not like is the overly compressed sounds in the master mix which will tire the listener's ear. That is easily overcome, if you have the first part down, you are way ahead of the curve of the rest of your peers. The latter is easily fixed. Choose dynamics over loudness mate and you will have a career. There is some really nice arrangements you have made and I am duly impressed.
Cru
This has buoyancy and a feathery lightness in its instrumental arrangement. beautifully composed. The strings juxtapose the gravity of the chord structure.

Awesome, sort of Floyd like, Queensryche silent lucidityish... ... and someone else I can't quite put my finger on. age catching up I guess. it will come to me. Maybe a little Stevie Wonder meshed with the stone roses. Great song, every part of it made me smile for a bit.
Steve
Hello Steve,
hope you're still doing well and don't suffer that much from the circumstances we're all in recently.
Thank you for the compliment.
With this song I had to watch like hell not to slide completely over into a Kitsch thing, but the combination of french horn and traverse flute came in like a ghost and avoided that. Phhhhh. Maybe some herb helped, too.
Hey I really love your choice of fav albums: For Your Pleasure - my gosh, Roxy Music; along with Spirit Of Eden - another fav of mine and Chic - the gods of sophisticated dance.
Keep well,
Michael
cool, just what I needed to slow myself down tonight. Love the Walkie talkie sounds. eerie but hopeful, a unique combo to have in a song. really creative mate. Ships, space-ships. nice cold ending btw!
Cru
The Intro was so cool, it has a (very slight) chiptune like quality, as my colleagues have stated, a video game-like quality, but it´s damn good. Super positive and sweet upbeat song and really creative. The mix is really good as well. But it also reminds me of a bit of the style I have heard on Travel v-logs lately. (ie, Kara n Nate). Great work, super impressed.
Cru
Yo, thanks man! I really did not expect anyone (but you're not the only one) to say it's videogame-like, though it's a really big compliment for me since I guess I found my style as a producer (since my other track in this album is chiptune).
Damn nice mix, I have a Microkorg (the original, it´s based of the MS2000, which I also have, and I was not able to get those sounds you have created, good on yah mate!. This sounds sleek and sexy.. great mix and great sounds. this is the level of darkness and control I love with synth-based music. You did an awesome job!
Cru
Thank you so much Cru!
I bought the microkorg less than two years ago and I think it is an incredible tool.
About the song, I created the loop and the main beat, called my daughter and asked him to help me write something about "loss of control", still in Portuguese, then we wrote that and recorded the voice in two takes. We like the result, but there are still some things to improve ...
There is a faint miasmal odour of sinister stars in this ragged pit full of superstitious rustics. This detestably sticky noise has loathsome changes and an unclean species of suction that give us fitful moonbeams and a demoniac tint. Your Tense godless calm and luminous amorphousness create a deep skyey void. (If that is not a Lovecraftian depiction of your song, I don´t know what would be.) Your Friend Steve (Cru)
