I would suggest bringing your vocals to the forefront. I want to hear you as if you were standing right in front of me. That being said, and that is not criticism (it's more like pleading), this is a beautiful track. There are so many elements of this track that just make me tingle (for lack of a better phrase).
Thanx Jonhn !!
I Sure am glad ta hear that and um sure Jefierenee will be too. Especilay with your skill and experience. wut a compliment. So ya think I may need to allow more breath'n room for voc's? or shorten the sixteen, add a abridge..hmm ya got me think'n. oh yea...Intro? Thanx again DRE?DSP
Lol. Great use of special effects, love the use of the organ and keys. The drum tack works with everything else. How did you manage to get Brittany Spears to sing for you? The sax was awesome.
Dude you have me boppin. Great metre (Canadian spelling) to your lyrics. Awesome voice for rap. I don't think you have to swear as much as you are in this song, though I understand it is part of the genre for some, because you appear to be too good a wordsmith. I'm guessing it's for dramatic effect.
This is a great track. You obviously have talent and I am going to check out more of your stuff.
Don't forget us looperpeople when you hit the big time
sorry it took a min to get back but check out the song why i use the n word and it might shed a light to ur question and i will never ever forget

This piece would be great during an action scene, as was the last track of yours I reviewed. Everything works great. Seems like there may be some element of sci fi involved. Could this be the theme to the X Files 2?
There's someone lurking in the background, waiting. The person he is waiting for arrives. He follows close enough to maintain where the person is going, but not so close as to be detected. Why is he follwing? Is it for some evil intent? Who id the bad guy in this? It could be either. The person being followed feels eyes upon him\her. The pace quickens a bit. The one following knows he has been detected. He speeds his pace, overtaking his prey. A decision must be made. Who will die? Or, perhaps even worse, has he actually found Waldo?
I first decided to listen to this track because I wanted to know what the deal was. I'm thinking your vocals are better than your backing instrumentation. You have a great voice for rap, nice metre (Canadian spelling) in your lyric, but you need backing music worthy of your talent.
thanks for the review. You are right about homey production because he can send me 100 beats and I'll like only 2 of them. I just went with the best he had. Plus this is an old track from like 3 , 4 years ago.
Dude the quality is fine, this is a sweet piece. You could have called this cinematic because it does bring images to mind. Do you know what that means? It means it's art. Well done.
dear john, thx for your review. it is called song nr. 1, cause it is really my first song starting last year. it has a very optimistic atmosphere, and it gave me a lot of positive energy in a very deep part of my live. i think the quality of my other tracks are better, but the melody of this is amazing. As you know a review is very important for me to hear other opinions and continue my works with a higher quality. thanks once again, greeeetz michael
Sweeeeeet. Seriously, you have done a very nice job job on this track. Whatever errors you made were invisible, at least to me, because I was too busy enjoying what I was listening to.
I don't think this will be on th site long because of copyright issues, so I'm glad to get here first and say, bloody awesome. Love it, love it love it.
140 bpm? Ah, you played with the bpm, well played. Nice turns, you're taking directions I didn't quite forsee. The break was expected, well done bit. The only prob I see is that there is no clear definition of your instrumentation. Have you used any panning?
This is a very good track that could be a great track, I just wish I knew I had the skill to tell you what it begs for
Hi john, thanks for your review. My english is really poor.Clearly i must to say i can't understand , what you said.I will show your review to my friend at monday,he knows english better than me and i will return you.
peace
The guitar comes in sweet. I would not have expected rap. Nice vocals. Fitting well with the background music. There is some, what would it be called, straining, but it's something that could easily be fixed. Doesn't seem to be prob in the middle part, beautiful metre. The voice is awesome, the backup vocals are good but maybe a bit too much effects. If that is you rapping, you have a voice to die for.
Very nice track (I'd buy it and I'm not a rap fan, well, I do like Ice Cube, c'mon, how can you not like Ice Cube)

This is a pretty track with a bit of an evil overtone. Feels like a predator has captured it's prey, but it has feelings for the prey, maybe from some long past relationship. The predator releases the prey in a moment of emotional weakness.
Then again it could just be a sweet sounding tune, lol
the way it started almost gave me a heart attack, lol. Thanks for the breather soon after. Does anybody have some epinephrine? There is much about this track that is, let's say, common among such tracks. There is also much novelty in this track. Reminds me of Steve Jobs, "Good artists copy, great artists steal", to which I must add, "exceptional artists transcend".
LOved the instrumentation and the vocals. There were a couple points where the metre seemed to be off a bit, but other than that, an exceptional effort.
If you think it fizzles out after the 2 mins then you have taken it too long. The piece isn't bad, but it could use some variations. add this post 2 mins and I think you'll be happy :-)
The first minute is awesome. The second minute has some nice additions. the third minute is fitting to the second, but it ends before 3 mins has elapsed. Wait, it returneth from the dead, lol.
Dude, not hip hop, ethnic is the genre for this sweet piece. This sounds like a good backing track, there's a lot of repetition in the piece, which suggests to me a lead, possibly a vocal is in the future.
As a backing track this is a sweet piece, as a stand alone too much of the same thing.
Nicely put together piece. Love it. Dude you have some awesome talent. Check out a track of mine called Funkenrock, I think I use a couple of the same samples LOl.
