I have not had the pleasure of seeing you for a very long time. I am honoured to be the first to review this track.
I could definitely see this as the backing track for a Rammstein song. Oh yes, definitely. Now if you can get Till to sing for you, you'd have a number one. Perfect backing track. What you need are some Rammstien like vocals and a singer who sounds like Till.
Thats really soooo kind of you. I must say I have not heard of Rammstein and Till before you mentioned them but after listening to them on itunes. Oh wow!! I see what you mean! They do remind me of Laibach of which I have a few 12" singles of stored away. God they were excellent!
I have to say my inspiration on this came from 'This Corrosion' and other Sisters/Sisterhood tracks so I really could see Andrew Eldritch on lead vocals. That's why I think its not finished yet. After listening to it again I want to bring the e-bow out a bit more as the melody from it is not bad!
Hey Brother, saw you had a new track so I though I should check it out. The track is really sweet, I like it a lot. A most pleasant listen.
In your track description, try putting in what your idea was behind your track, like imagery and story. I offer this advice because I want you to get as many play as possible,
Friend, the bass is too up front, the drums can barely be heard and IT ENDS TOO SOON lol :-) I was just really getting into it despite the aforementioned probs and it ended. You did that on purpose didn't ya, lol.
I wouldn't necessarily say it needs more stuff, as a chill out out track it would stand as is, except for the duration of the track and, of course, the abrupt ending.
Ahh thanks for the review.. its pretty unfinished right now. I havent EQd or mastered hardly anything yet. Most of the things I post here are unfinished at the moment. I have intentions of reuploading full tracks once I get a surplus of beats I admire :P yeah the abrupt end haha sorry about that I got super lazy!
As Mrbillionx stated, lol, without the hey this would stand alone as a beautiful instrumental track. I don't know if I'd chance ruining it with vocals, But I'd definitely get rid of the hey.
Cool topic. We could prob have some really interesting discussions. Is that you singing on this track. If so, you rock. I love everything about this track. It gels really well. The vocals and the backing tracking compliment each other perfectly.
Your talent is immense and your genius equal. What a beautiful piece of music. I wouldn't change a thing. A definite download. The vocals are mixed perfectly. The instrumentation are exactly what should be there and not a note more or less. This is professional.
From my perspective, I think your vocals are too good for the backing track, not that the backing track is bad, it just doesn't seem to be in the same class as the vocals. If I were you, I'd keep the vocals as is and rework your instrumentation. Just my opinion.
Othello is, of course, best in the original Klingon opera, but I must say that this version ranks right up there. The track is very unusual, not something I expect a lot of people will flock to, but I think it is great. You have created something quite unique here. The track is well put together, interesting and definitely shows creativity.
I'd give it 3 thumbs up. I'd give it my 4th, but I lost that one when I mistook a Excalian Modrapod as a pumpkin pie.
thanx for the review tho.. yea ur right def not something that would go main stream... but thats how all my stuff is real dark n unique... check out more tracks n thanx for stoppin by..
There are some brilliant moments in this piece. The buildups were fantastic transitions. I hear no major issues with this track and, although I've listened to it only once, I thisnk the track is great as is. Well done.
Well that was a very nice ride you took me on. I think the track is fine as is. Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it at all. I even like the grunt at the end.
Excellent work. I look forward to hearing more of your work
The guitar is great. Just like a brass band to come by and hijack a song. Not to mention the mess they make when they come into your home with their muddy boots and then set about devouring everything in your refrigerator, even that pork chop you wanted to throw out six months past ;-)
I very enjoyable. I enjoy how you combined the brass and guitar.
The backing track is very powerful, love it. Personally, I would bring the vocals a bit more forward so they could be better heard. I like this kind of driving track and sometimes go in this sort of direction myself.
thanx dude actually I had the vocals out more but I brought them in a bit because I wanted them to blend more and add to the ambient feel as apposed to being more singular. I wanted them to be another instrument basically and not centerstage I guess
A very nice array of sounds that are well put together. There are some points where the "pretty" synth part seems to almost get swallowed up by the rest of the instruments. Panning it a bit to one side or the other might help a little with that, unless, of course, such was your intent. In any case, the track had me bouncing in my chair.
Me thinks the track is more along the electronic genre than hip hop, not that genre means a whole lot to me. The production and instrumentation appeared to be perfect and the transitions were smooth.
A very nice listen. I look forward to listening to more of your work :-)
As I have often commented :-), the track would probably benefit from having the vocals brought more forward. Other than that, the track is another great piece. The guitar works is wondeful and the atmosphere is definitely meloncholic.
I don't think the track is crappy at all. I really like it. I can't put my finger on who exactly it reminds me of, but I could sure see Zappa doing it. You did an awesome job with vstis, especially slayer. I fooled with it a little, started a track I have to finish, and thought it was a pretty good program. The lead guitar work was very nice. Drums were great. Lyrics and vocals worked for me.
Well, I don't think the TRACK is crappy, but the vocals leave a bit to be desired, IMHO. I've been upgrading my equipment and progs over the past few months though, so some re-mastering may be in order for some of my older tracks.
Zappa? Yeah, I can see that, considering I'm the world's biggest Zappa fan (LOL).
Slayer was alright for a while, but then I got Slayer2, which is infinitely better. For synthesized guitars, I now use exclusively Slayer2, RealStrat, DSK Electrik Guitarz (a freebie), Strat-A-Various (freebie), and SuperRiff (freebie) for electrics. I usually couple them with FL's Hardcore amp\effect VST or Shred amp\cab\effect VST (another freebie). Though I have about 30 amp\cab simulators, I think Hardcore and Shred are the two best.
Thanks a bunch for taking the time to listen and review, John. I really do appreciate it, bro.
This is a very cool track. The chanting is well placed and adds a huge amount to the overall quality of the song. Too bad it crackles a bit. There may be something you can do about that. Check to see what noise reduction programs you have.
It's been a while so I had to come by for my donmega fix :-) After listening to this track I do feel better. You have done an awesome job as always. Great track good buddy.
I like the track, but the vocal bit gets a bit annoying after a while. I would add a dif acapella to offset it a bit. Other than that the track is sweet. Lol, can you imagine a girl, even a really cute one, saying "you make me hot" with that particualr voice. I think I might run away, lol.
I've not worked with Spyder, but I bet it's a great experience. The man knows what he's doind and he is quite a talented musician. It is not surprising, therefore, that you two have created this great track. The backing track and your vocals are fantastic. The production is great. This baby sounds professional. Feel free to email me a copy if you can.
